My local lake gets pretty rough..I went out in a 8ft bass buster with my friend..it was like riding a fishing bobber..not good...however in calm water it's nice..I'm going to buy a 10 footer...I'll hope for the best
How do you think it would do going down smaller rivers with shoals? I'm sure you'd have to walk it occasionally but do you think it would move ok through the rapids?
I’ve taken it on big rivers with slow current just fine, but haven’t done a small river yet. I have an idea for a trip this year in small water to see what it can do
I regularly take my 8ft pond prowler on the largest lake in Massachusetts. It can get pretty sketchy, if the wind is over 7mph there’s almost ocean like waves but what’s even worse is speed boats, I’ve been waked out a few times and one time in particular the wake over took the entire boat, but even with all that it hasn’t even come close to flipping or sinking. After the big wake I had to bale out the boat but that’s it. I think the pond prowler is full of styrofoam so even if you literally filled it with water I don’t think it would actually sink. Haven’t had the fortune of actually testing that theory yet lol but yea the pond prowler is an excellent little boat I love mine.
@Humbug Videos thanks I appreciate your answer. I bought a Newport 46lbs thurst but shaft is only 30" do you think that would work? Is my 1st time buying a boat and I'm completely lost
@@edgarmartinez699 that should be fine! I wish I got a more powerful motor like yours so I could get out to the spot faster. Keep me updated, I wanna see the rig when your done!
you cannot tip one of these rectangular jon style boats. 2 of us tried to swamp an 8 footer one day... both standing in ONE corner... could not tip it. safe as it gets.
i've had two pond boats both 10 foot the first one i took on a state park lake 10 hp or less and even though it seemed safe because of the twin pontoons it felt like i was in a bathtub when boats past by. now all electric motor lakes and little wind or wake it's awesom
@@humbugvideos great im thinking about getting one but where I fish it’s a big lake and the with just a little wind it can get real choppy so I want a boat that can withstand it.
Is there any difference between the pond prowler and the bass raider. There must be some difference because of the price. Just wondering it you knew? Thank you . I like you channel a lot.
The internal mold is different, from what I’ve heard most people like the bass raider over the pond prowler. For me the pond prowler was locally available and cheaper which is why I went with it. It’s been awesome for me!
@@humbugvideos Very cool. I think the raider might be a little higher end and it's like 250 dollars more. I do like the new type seats on the raider. I am zeroing in on what I'll get. No sure what they were saying but is was not good. LOL. Please let me know.

Trolling motor shaft length dp you recommend for the prowler 8-10?
I believe mine is just one standard size, the endura c2. It’s a 36 lb thrust

is it 8' or 10'
8

I'm planning on getting bass pro pond 8 soon. Can you use a kayak cart to move it around?
I’m not sure it would work, it would have to be really wide. Watch my top 5 tiny boat/kayak hacks video and I provide a solution to that problem!
