This is the exact video I was looking for. Gotta love the internet and the fishing community. I’ve been wanting a small fishing boat and love this one, but I drive a Nissan Sentra 😂 I may need to install railings to the top of it just so I can do this. Great video!

Nice work, dude. I made a similar dolly for my pond prowler. That thing is a life saver. I love being able to launch the boat in places without even using the boat ramps. Way less stressful. I saw some folding plastic wheels for a John Boat on Amazon. Thought about mounting those or some bike training wheels to the prowler, but worry about integrity of hull and causing leaks. Would be sweet if Bass Pro added built in wheels to the back end of these puppies. Love your channel.

That would certainly be easier than this! If I had a pickup I probably would’ve gotten a 10 cause the extra space is nice

i have a nissan sentra… i have the Quest Angler 8, similar to your pond prowler. hitching the boat on top of my car is the worst part as i haven’t figured out how to slide it on due to it being a sedan the body of the car extending out, so usually its a 2 man job which sucks

my crossbars on my car are 43 inches while the boat is 48. do you think 2.5 inches overhang on both sides would be okay?
I believe mine has a slight overhang as well, not 2.5 tho. As long as you strap them down REALLY well and don't drive like a mad man you should be ok! If you decide to go for it lemme know how it goes

How fast have you gone with that thing loaded on your vehicle. Could I get up to 75 safely
I’ve done 85, but usually don’t go over 80
i have a 10 foot pond boat the field & stream model no way would i try to put it on top of a car , i put it in the bed of my truck even then it's awkward to load by myself . now saying that if i did load it on a car i would buy a moving pad which to me would be a little thicker than the blanket . this is my 2nd pond boat and actually i like it but wish i had just stuck to my cheap plastic canoe as so much easier to load /unload .
I’d be worried with the 10 as well, but the extra 2 feet really helps!
