Just sharing a cozy Sunday in our farmhouse! With a few ideas for the interior and two super simple but delicious recipes: my "Lazy mom's homemade bread" and a packed with veggies family meal.

As a spiritual psychotherapist I so appreciated the way you described the book, The Secret, as being an incomplete way of looking at manifestation.
The problem is that the book, The Secret, gives folks the impression that all we have to do is make an intention, think about it hard enough… and it will come true. When this doesn’t work, people feel like they’re failing or doing something wrong. The problem is the whole premise is backwards. This is not the way manifestation works.
Manifestation Is a process that naturally moves through us on deep subconscious levels. We have to really “do our work“ to discover and uncover the parts of ourselves that are calling events, circumstances, and relationships to us.
If we want to manifest something… We must fundamentally change ourselves at core levels of our psyche. When our deep selves change, our outer circumstances change too.

I just found your channel this snowy morning..our first snow of the season in Indiana. We have 2 houses..a 121 year old farmhouse in the middle of an old order Amish community in southern Indiana and a 95 yr old bungalow in Indianapolis. We weren't looking for the farmhouse when we found it but we heard the calling and as our realtor expressed, Houses pick You! I feel the for sale sign literally jumped onto the road in front of the car! That was in 2015. I'm going to make a scrapbook about it as you have inspired me.

After watching this, I had to subscribe. I like your channel’s philosophy and the down to earth feel. I grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of a country town (in the Southern Hemisphere), but now live in a city. When I saw you collect the wood it brought back fond memories. I miss that. Although, our family used a wheelbarrow to collect the wood and mostly wore our gum boots : ) The bread looked delicious. Thank you for providing the recipe and showing it long enough for us to read - this was thoughtful : ) Look forward to catching up on your previous vlogs and watching future ones 🌳

I agree with EVERYTHING you had to say today. You are living your dream - I know too that it is more exciting as you progress and make everything to your taste. For me, much of the happiness is in the planning. The end result is “icing on the cake”. All in good time - pacing oneself is the most important. On another note, will definitely try the bread! I have read the book “The Secret” and I agree with you. I think it’s wonderful that you listened to the call to go to France. I would love to hear the whole story sometime about how you found your house. The food you made looks delicious, and TFS the recipes with us too!😋

What a lovely idea for a scrap book. My husband and I will be moving to the UK next year and although we will not be able to have our own house there yet, I will definitely invest in a book and fill it with all my dreams till I have a home of my own. Thank you for sharing in your cosy and delicious day.
O that is exciting! Having a scrapbook is so helpful! I have enjoyed - and still do - designing the spaces, discovering my style, even far before any space in the house being anywhere close to finished. It keeps me going through the hard work of the dusty building works and helps me to keep the end in mind. It is like you're enjoying your house multiple times, each time when gathering images, writing about it, looking at the images, finding the items, to the actual point where you have finished the space and enjoy living in it. Best of luck to you and your husband in your new home!

I kind of get what your saying in the earlier part of your post, about a ‘calling’, to a place, but beyond that, of a calling to a place that is ultimately beyond the temporal. A kind of homesickness, in the place we call home, for our true home.
It reminded me a little of a poem called

You have nice furnishings as a start but the need for decor for it to be really cozy is huge. looks very stark this way . perhaps in time or perhaps this is cozy to you . The pictures in your ideas books are wonderful.
I am a hsp, too much decor makes me uncomfortable. But I guess we all have our personal style and preference and to discover it and apply it to our homes is a beautiful process. This room is going to be completely redone, and I am still trying to figure out what it needs to look like after the renovations.
Your kitchen would be heaven to me.mine is 2 metres x 2 metres lol

hi, ik mis de aardappels of de rijst of aardappelpuree bij het eten ...en ja zo'n keuken , kan me voorstellen dat het moeilijk is om te wachten zou daar ook heel blij van worden ..past echt bij jullie huis ( al ben ik zelf voor een moderne keuken bij een oud huis )
Ja je kunt er inderdaad rijst of bijvoorbeeld couscous bij maken of brood, maar voor ons is dat vaak te veel.

We have had the pleasure of several of the sneaky blighters in the house over the last few weeks, when I saw your vast mountain of logs…….. wasps sprang to mind 🐝

Hey which colour luts you use in your videos ??
I have no idea what that means… I looked it up and I think you mean color grading? I don’t do any… I may occasionally set the brightness in my iMovie a little higher and there is a setting to intensify colors which I think I did a little bit but I’m not sure. I’m sorry I can’t really answer your question as I know nothing about this and just use the very simple iMovie tool. I wish I knew more about this because I can see how other’s videos look gorgeous when they do do color grading, but so far haven’t looked into it.
@@FrenchCountryLife hey ! yeah i was asking for colour grading. You can learn it by searching "Colour Grading by moods". And your content is really calm snd simple..dont ever try to copy others they all are into rat race. 🙌🙌
