I recognized the countryside of my childhood 😊, and even though i loved it, i had to move because i couldnt stand the cold weather during winters. Now i live in the West french indies... more degrees 🌞 and palm trees 🌴.
What a coincidence! I love the changing of the seasons and although I prefer the summer, I also appreciate the crisp winter days (as long as they don’t last too long 😂)
First. I must say I love your videos. So relaxing and enjoyable. I can't really say which one I liked best. I have small brown and cream crocks that were my grandmother's I use often in my kitchen and throughout the house. Make the area so comfy cozy. Can hardly wait to see your side of the wall done.
I feel as though “additions to the treasure collection “ is a phrase more befitting of your purchases than “haul.” The word “haul” feels like it describes purchases of single use items or fast fashion and wares. Your taste is beautiful and simple, which lends itself to a certain kind of elegance.💗
Great buys all around. I really like the painting and it goes very well with your decor. You show us such a soft and gentle side to your existence which really reminds me to slow down and enjoy the sights and sounds around me. That is my big take away of today's video. It perhaps is the most important and generous thing you gifted within your message. Thank you.
Just found your vlogs and enjoying the mix of work on the house, visits to brocantes and the local area. We are building a house near Beaune which is taking forever and we don’t manage to get there very often, so watching your blogs is really helping. Thank you and I wish you well.
Thank you! Yes, building and renovating can be a very looooong proces... all the best to you and you'll be so happy once your house is finished and you tell yourself it was worth the wait!
I am so glad I found your channel today! Amazing vlog! 🥰 It has always been my dream to visit the French countryside and the French Riviera..This vlog shows how peaceful and beautiful life can be in the countryside and hopefully I'll live this life one day..🥰
Titled this...la vie a la maison? So comfortable and laid back...and seeing the yard with so many flowers blooming...we wait for and cherish these times. Even tho I am a dog person, your cat belongs exactly where he/she is 😊. Whatever that apple dish is..I'd love the ingredients...or I will rewind til I get it 😂. Think the tool Olav uses is a mud knife.
We found her in the streets as a kitten where she had obviously been dumped by her owner. She was incredibly skinny, had a big scar on her tail and her ears were infested by parasites. She deserves all the love she can get after having such a difficult start in life. She gives so much love, and we’re happy to return it 💜
Absolutely BeautifuL countryside where you live no noise, dirt or traffic very peaceful. I’m loving watching the work your doing to restoreyour placE.😉
Good morning. Marloes..here in Canada we call the metal objects " trivets ".....thanks for dragging me along to the brocante , I needed to get out of the house . Tigre is a content kitty ! Have a beautiful weekend...mine will be out in the yard cleaning up etc. Starting to revamp all my gardens , both veg and flower to make them more accessible as I age. We needed another project ha ha ha ...sometimes I make me laugh .....au revoir les amis

Loved the taste of spring opening, then shopping, especially the small gratin dish, I'm into making gratins for some reason; plus all your purchases were good deals. Was amazed at your careful painting job with no splashes. Wow. Thanks for taking me along.
Loved watching this vlog. It’s looking so beautiful in the countryside, loved seeing the rabbit crossing the road. Also love seeing all your finds from Emmaus! 🐇🤍
Loved the calming colours of the print which will go so well with the rest of your rooms. I think Tigret has stolen the show again. Sending peaceful and loving thoughts ❤🐾🐾
Bonjour, I am writing you from austria. I lked all of your finds. I watch your videos since the beginning and they always make my day. Thank you for sharing all these beautiful videos with us. I have been to France for several times and I'm looking forward to travel to France again. I love the way you bring this old house to a new life. I wish you and your family all the best an look forward to your next videos. ❤sue
When you were at the market you looked at a tray with coasters that had butterflies on them, I had a set just like that in the late 1970's. Love your videos.
I relate to your love and appreciation for a simple lifestyle because I live the same way. I like seeing others like you reaping the benefits and joy from it too. I use the same tool for painting trim; it's much faster for me than taping off everything. How fortunate to find another white dish. When you picked up the one from the table at Muriel's shop, I immediately thought of all the wonderful things I could use it for. The trivets are fabulous!
May you have many moments of health, peace and wisdom with your sweet cat and your beautiful family ❤ Thank you very much for sharing these beauties with us. Your house is really beautiful, I really like this simple clean village style ❤️ If I have the opportunity one day, I would like to live in a Turkish village house adapted to the present day ❤️ I wish there were more second-hand shops here, thanks to you, I started to look at such items more warmly 😊 The color you applied to the wall is wonderful. I love the other soothing tones you use at home. Love from Turkey ❤️
I really enjoyed your video , this place is so calm , beautiful & peaceful , it's always been a dream of mine to live in a countryside . Perhaps my dream will come true one day. But anyways JOB well done.❤
Lovely. There were great pollarded trees along your route home from the beautiful village. I like the little pitcher from your haul. Mix and pour. Also the matching trivets. All four items for less than one Euro!
Yes we live there currently (all the interior footage you see is shot there) so we’re going to change some things around in the house. We mostly live outside during the summer months anyway!
Hello. That picture of Cowslips cheered me. The only place I have seen them in quantity is near my little French house. My parents remembered when they were common in our English countryside, but they were rare when I was a child. So sad. I wish more people would live in or near the French countryside when they uproot from America, instead of thinking that Paris is the only place to live. (the Kings thought that which is why there are no regional centres, which is fine by me..until I want to get an international flight !
Yes a lot of original vegetation has gone rare because of agricultural ways of working the land. I have noticed that here in France there are so many more wildflowers and insects! I talked to one of the farmers the other day and he said they intentionally leave everything because it gives better food (grass and hay) for the cows. And with keeping so many flowers you keep or attract many varieties of insects. When we had professionals from Beaune come do some soil samples before installing the septic tank, they said they were so surprised to see so many more species of insects and vegetation here and Beaune is only 20 minutes away. But it is down the cliff (we live on a plateau) and I think it's because of the wine region being treated differently to get the best grapes, so the lands look very different from here. I am happy to have so many wildflowers and I pick them all the time. Only thing you simply shouldn't want to have here is a perfect lawn. Locals will say "You'll always have the farm field in it" (don't know if this translation makes sense) but meaning nature will take over and your lawn will look like the farm field next to it. Which I adore!
I have come up with a curtain solution I hadn’t thought of before. I’ll include all that in a video I’ll make about the finishes we’re doing here in the coming two months!
I know what you mean Marloes, it’s nice just to be home & ‘be’ 😊 Did you find a solution for your window/door ‘curtains’? Great haul .. perfect for you 💕

I would love to get one of those Bowls in your haul, maybe next time pick an extra one for me 😊so glad that I found you as I live vicariously thru you! Have a good weekend
Thanks! Oh that must be so frustrating to watch then! What kind of bowl would you like? The beige one or one of the other Digoin ones? I have so many and different sizes. I enjoy watching your videos. They are so well done. I especially love your brocante shopping. Do you have any idea where I can get those Digoin bowls to a reasonable price without being in France? Prices are stunning at your local store.. All the best from Berlin!
Where are you? From what I know once you’re outside of Europe it gets more expensive. For example when I send something to the US or China, shipping is easily around 30€ for lighter weight parcels to 50 for heavier ones. And these bowls are heavy… that makes buying them online from Europe still quite expensive and in all honesty I understand why they are priced as they are overseas. It’s getting the items there that increases the price. Which is why I sell mine at more reasonable prices to compensate a bit for the shipping. You can also buy them new, they still make them! However, a new one at medium size will cost around 30€, but maybe if you find a reseller in your country it can work, not sure if they are everywhere though. Hope this helps!
I am in Germany! Thank you so much for your quick answer! Do you sell those bowls online? If yes, could you send me a link to your site? Much appreciated 😊
