It's always very cool to hear the child of a former successful musician turn out to be such a good musician himself. Really cool. He's a great player and a good guy.
This guitar and so much of Dweezils riffing was giving me Jeff Beck vibes in both cases . The push/pull phase and riffs really did it while working the trem. 😊
He is, but fake aging on guitars is just tragic - especially when they charge $$$ more for them. If your porsche dealer crashed the car into a lamppost and shat in the driver seat you wouldn't pay him $500k for it instead of $250k would you? But a guitar player will.
@@thedweezilzappa 100% I remember you in that Heartbeat video with Don Johnson 😂😂, all these years I’ve followed your musical journey and we both share the same love for Eddie Van Halen. You are a incredible musician and guitar player. Always gracious humble.
That was hands down the coolest guitar demo I’ve ever heard. I could honestly zone out to dweezil riffing all day! Beautiful instrument too. I want one!
Dude, when I saw him, after the last song, He takes his guitar off and comes straight off stage into the crowd to shake hands and sign autographs! Pure class!!
Love to Dweezil, seriously one of the best pickers around! The relic thing is not for me, but sounds amazing. Vega Trem is the best on the market, it really is killer.
Shabat’s reaction of joy at 8:55, seeing all the hard work paying off and his creation being brought to life, ha! That made my day. 😊 “It’s not bad” he says, haha. Man, I would love one of these.
How come I just find your channel Dweezil when I'm never missing your concerts in France and have 100 Zappa Cd's at home, including all of yours!! My parents are maybe your father's biggest fans on earth😂I've been almost exclusively listening to Frank's music growing up🤣 Love you man thanks for everything you do and please never stop, you're the best. And that guitar is the best looking guitar I have seen in ages, and sounds terrific, I NEED one🤟❤I'll post a picture the day I got one and play it on a big stage ❤🔥
Listening to this young fella Dweezil noodle on the electric guitar is very pleasing. Could listen for hours, no matter what guitar he is playing. 👌🎸🔊💯
Dweezil thanks for the great content, awesome guitar. Excited to see what you post next. Thanks for the awesome deep dive with Beato, the dope guitar showcase with Mark Agnesi, man I feel like I've been getting Dweezil curated gold gems all week long. This guitar sounds amazing thanks for the collab and excited to see what you post next.
Man, this came up on my YT as a recommendation! Whoa not only is it the first tine I have listened to Dweezil play on his own without band, but this guitar has some insane sounds! Sub'd immediately!
I'll never forget seeing Frank play at Nassau Coliseum (Long Island,NY) when I was a kid in the early 80's (1982?) and he brought you up on stage to play!!! Also got to see you and your band a couple of times here on Long Island and absolutely floored me. Your interview with Rick Beato was amazing. You have come to be another Iconic musician playing the greatest music of our time! Congrats on the new axe it sounds killer!
How is that effect achieved? Because the opposite wasn't mentioned, I assume the circuit is passive and thus probably doesn't do an actual doubling of the frequencies in the signal. Dweezil mentioned it works when engaged in a middle out-of-phase position. Does it perhaps push one of the signals slightly more out of phase and that cancels more of the lower frequencies in the output? Although the effect is quite pronounced so I don't know if that could be it.
@bobolson5423 I have one in my prs on the volume pot 👍 it's one of my favourite sounds. I think the strength of the octave effect really depends on what pickups you have out of phase as well for my guitar it's obviously just the two humbuckers which I can coil split as well. I think the effect is more prominent with single coils but I'm not sure....like brian may's out of phase tones
Dweezil, I remember seeing you for the first time and only knew your last name at that point. Was blown away then and you're musicianship is beyond. This demo shows so much in your playing and influences. Sounds fantastic.
That thing is epic Dweezil! Damn dude that swamp tone is addictive and sounds so good distorted! Those Lollars in the neck are doing it justice too. Happy for you man
I was lucky enough to hear Frank when he came to Australia, and then Dweezil later on, here and also in the USA. Dweezil absolutely rocks on guitar! This guitar sounds magic, under Dweezil's fingers. It was great to see Avi's looks of appreciation of Dweezil's playing - which must stand out, cos Avi must hear hundreds and hundreds of other players.
I always knew Dweezil was a fabulous musician, but once I saw the Rick Beato interview it really drove it home. This guy is a student of the instrument. He descends from Guitar Royalty, and it shows. This guitar really has that same vibe as the Friedman Cali model. The heavy relic, the custom pickups, the maple neck and board. I would love to own this in either finish. It would be a keeper for life.
Spectacular guitar ! And that's a proper signature model, we are tired of signatures that are 98% a regular Strat or what have you. Love what the guy mentioned about leaving more body meat around the pickups and no plastic pick guard floating them. I palm mute a lot so I remove the first pot on the Strat too 👍🏼 Sexy guitar😍 BTW, the case was gorgeous too.
Awesome sounding Axe DZ Congratulations! We are about the same age and I grew along side you on your MTV Days when they had music on it, but I still love the video & song Talk About with Moon, Love the GUITAR, Your Music-In-Law 🎸🤘🤠
Strings straight over a graphite nut for trem stability. Alder body. The odd ball thing, hot pickups w/ no pick guard. Boutique monster. Ticking off a lot of boxes here. Dare I say it might play well with a Fender Jack White Pano? Lovely.
Damn I love the look and sound of that thing. I looks like something EVH would hang out with. On a nerdy note it is so cool seeing you use Frank Gambale moves, and really incorporating it in your playing. I love that dude
Wow, that out of phase sound with the push-pull octave sound it reminds me of a Koto, really unique!! Glad to find YOU have a page Dweezil....you've got another subscriber 🤟🎶
up until now. ac/dc has always been the band with the best, the sweetest overdrive tone ..ever! but the overdrive coming from this guitar, through his (dweezil) fingers and out of the speaker is also like ...damn, it sounds to good! that's a good humbucker. if I get the chance, I might give this guitar a try sometime.
H hear that warm distinctive lollar fizz that I Iove butt some find an adjustment is necessary but come to love. Changes in the your usual settings will be key but come to really appreciate and become inspiring. You lucky Sod.😄

Proper from head to toe but i would want this brand new and shiny, no aging or relicing, beautiful tone from this guitar!
Any guitar that can go from a great chicken-pickin' tone to an '80s hair metal tone and everywhere between is a keeper. Congrats, Dweezil.
That's the player, not the wood and metal.

Dweezil, man… this stuff is absolutely mind-bending! Your use of the tremolo bar sounds so much like you’re playing slide. Crazy cool stuff.

Your bit at the end was hilarious! 😂
Yeah, then you go back and understand why they are cracking up in that part of the video, getting to close-ups just before opening the case... 😂
I grew up listening to Dweezil & Frank, I loved the green guitar from the "Let's Talk About it" Video and the Madonna guitar was great also!
When I first saw the video feed I first thought of that green Charvel.
Love to Dweezil, seriously one of the best pickers around! The relic thing is not for me, but sounds amazing. Vega Trem is the best on the market, it really is killer.
Dweezil channeling Jeff Beck - sounds great!
But does he have more fluid?
Nobody has more fluid than JB
Fantastic collection of possible tones. Well done!
Wow! Merci Dweezil! Fantastic diverse sounds. Love your superb playing too!!!!
Thank you for such wonderful information and quality playing. Thanks for sharing the knowledge you possess. Bless you Dweezil.
Thank you, Dweezil. The band rocked on tour. Your playing was amazing as usual. Looking forward to more.

That octave feature is going to be a total success ❤, it sounds amazing
Congratulations Dweezil - great guitar. Love the octave circuit on the pull knob. Definitely something Frank would have done as well.

It's not an octave circuit its an out of phase switch
@TLguitar out of phase switch that's all it is
I’d love to see the wiring scheme for this! I’ve never had an out of phase produce the octave effect this guitar is achieving. Fascinating!!
