You were in my neck of the woods....This place is so lucky to remain to be open.. First it was Covid that almost killed it and then a really bad Ice storm heavily damaged it in 2021 almost finished it off.. But it got tons of support to remain open.. Something good happened for them after all the bad luck.
Don't forget the fire that came really close!!!

LOL I worked there. I hated having to stand working at the haunted house and listening to the speakers for 8 hours every day. Rodger the owner is 80 something years old and, man he is a tough worker for his age. Also they do rent electric scooters for those hills.
Fun Fact..There were once many mini parks dotted around the US and roadside attractions that are long gone often with family friendly themes. One near there that's fondly remembered was Pixieland and the restaurant at its heart was a regional favorite for those that knew it was there reminisce about it today. Near Denver there's still such an attraction opened seasonally called Tiny Town where you can feel like a giant walking around its model houses. It was fun to see Jessica-Michael almost time travel back to being kids themselves in this rare fantasy themed gem that's still opened, and her Hello Kitty backpack was perfect being there..😺
Near where we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, there used to be Playland (but it was too run down for my mom to take me there when I was a toddler and they tore it down in the 1970's, but my sister and her first born son lived close enough that you could hear the Laughing Lady on days when the wind was right....th-cam.com/video/PzfpbSVf9W4/w-d-xo.html also Frontier Village and Santa's Village and Bonfante Gardens, which may still be there, it had the Circus Trees which were interestingly grown trees, and I think Ripley's Believe It or Not featured them in one of their features in the 1950's....
In Oakland, CA, is Children's Fairyland. It's right at Lake Merritt. On the North side, I think. Similar to this but more compact and not as much greenery.

Enchanted Forest Water Safari, formerly also called just Enchanted Forest, in Old Forge, NY is another that has the old storybook land as well as newer waterslides, circus acts and rides.

Took my son here all the time when he was little. My son's father did some of the work on the little model railroad in one of the buildings there and I met the parks creator, Mr. Tofte. Pretty special place.

All those little touches make 1 huge magical place.
I have passed this so many times going to Salem from southern Oregon and I never took my kids. This is so much more amazing than I thought. I think I will still have to go, even if we are all adults now. Thank you for a fun tour! This place has come close to closing so many times, but has always come back.
This is great. I remember having my high school class graduation retreat at the Enchanted Forest. I went through that haunted house with my girlfriend at the time and it was such a blast! ~Good memories.
Usually not into this haunted house stuff, but this one is extremely well done & worth a visit for folks living on the West Coast.
I just wish the haunted house could be open for October because of how well made it is.

About and hour north of there. And no, I’ve never been! That lingering wanting to go as a kid never left me. Lol. And I’ve always been curious to see it. I’ve seen pics and other videos. But nothing as well done as Your visit. I’ve enjoyed so many of your posts. Especially the Film related ones. I got my Film Degree from the University of Oregon. Just south of this place by an hour and a half. And I ended up in LA for the last 27 years working on some amazing shows with some incredible people. Your take on those movies and and especially the Locations has been a treat. Thanks. Keep up the Great Work.
My Grandparents lived in Albany which is nearby and when visiting as a child we would always go to The Enchanted Forest. I don't remember the haunted house, but I would have been going in the late 70s so maybe it came afterwards. It's a classic Willamette Valley Oregon attraction for sure, kind of surprised it's still around.
Enchanted Forest is such a labor of love, I remember going there as a child when it was fairly new and it was just magical.
I am so glad you enjoyed one of our favorite places. Our annual trip to the Enchanted Forest is a spring highlight.
Side note: I have a collection of medals from Mondor.

Born in California but went HS in a town called Old Forge in Upstate NY. They have an Enchanted Forest amusement park there that pre dates this one. Open in 1956 and as Adam The Woo would say "Quite Operational" Though only in Summer months.
There is something similar here in New Jersey. It is called Fairtale forest.

I find it so weird to see everybody now visiting my childhood haunts. However, I have never been in the Haunted House, it had always spooked me too much even from the outside.
There used to be an enchanted forest here in Maryland back in the 70s and 80s but has since closed down was a big part of my childhood
Seems there were quite a few “Enchanted Forests”…or versions of. In Pennsylvania we had Storybook Forest.

It was a great place off route 40...my backyard was only a few hundred feet from it and you could hear music and children from there all summer long...there were some similarities to this place...the uniforms were great!
Yeah use to go to it in 70s and early 80s in Ellicott Maryland... It sat abandoned for years they moved what was left to another place.... The movie crybaby with Johnny Depp was filmed there also along with other shows

That was so fun, cool that it’s family friendly, gore isn’t the pinnacle of a great haunt, and this had spooky eerie vibes in a great way. Love the grim storybook aspect, and the giant witch head is epic!

My kids love going there - gets expensive though with a family of 5, as each ride costs a few tickets. They used to have bracelets for unlimited rides prior to Covid. Anyhow fun place - last time we went the owner was driving around the park on his moped and taking photos with visitors.

I visited in 2019 with my cousin. Was surprised by so many hills, but it was fun. I don't remember the haunted house, Lori must of kept me away. She did not like scares, lol.
Thank you for the wonderful memories. I lost her to her heart disease six months later. I treasure the pictures I have of her there, with Jack and Jill and in the castle. Love your videos, keep up the great work. Happy Halloween.

The history and love of this place is real. The haunted house still scares me to this day at 35. The scent it so nostalgic, a very special place everyone that has an imagination should go. Thank you for all you show us 💕

I'm a 61 year old man and I'd love to go there some time. I've never heard of it until I saw your video. I live in Washington State so it would not be a too long of a drive.
This park was featured on Ghost Adventures. So many claims of it being haunted. I call bull on it but it was nice to see a majority of the park not in night vision.
BTW, Jessica looked at home there with her green hair and all in black. She really fit in with the theme of the park.

wow I went here a couple times as a kid but was almost 30 years ago and all I remember was feeding a deer that was walking around lol. the vibe of the park looks sweet though!

Their haunted house was my first when I was 5 and it traumatized me from horror until I was 13. I drive past the park every time I go to my parents house and it was fantastic to see the walkthrough and face my childhood fear. Also, Darby O’Gill and the Little People gave me nightmares repeatedly. Thank you!

Great video. I've lived about a 20 min drive from Enchanted Forest my whole life. We almost lost this place during the pandemic. Luckily the community came together to help them get through the prolonged closure period. Hopefully this video will promote more business from those who aren't from around here. It truly is a magical place. 💚

There's an Enchanted Forest in northern NY. But it's mostly a water park now. It's Enchanted Forest Water Safari. But the old section of the park is still really cute.

THANK YOU SOO much for mentioning about the Handicap /Disability Acessability issues there !. I am wheelchair bound because of Spina Bifida ( Birth Defect ,Parallelization of the Spine if you don't already know about it /heard of it ) and I have a hard time finding places to travel because of it (especially older places ) and it made me so happy last night watching this and hearing you mention it . I LOVE ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS BUT THIS IS MY MOST FAVORITE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE OF THE MENTION.😍🥰👩🦼
