I purchased this machine about 8 months ago directly from the Manufacturer in Canada. This is the only video that explains how to thread it since Reliable does not provide the education necessary to do it properly and the manual is almost useless. Thank you for showing us how to thread it. I actually sent your video to Reliable so they can share it. I provided samples of what I was going to sew with a note explaining exactly what I wanted, how I wanted it sewn and the thread weight. They did not pay any attention to my samples and my note so when I got my machine it was set up incorrectly and I have had problems with it since. Problems with bobbin spooling and top thread breaking. The tech was unable to help us. Ultimately they told me that if I had shared exactly what I wanted, which I did and they forgot about it, they would have sold me a different machine. They said I can return it but at my expense which is very unrealistic. Luckily my husband and I have professional training in machine repair and maintenance from our embroidery machines and we were able to trouble shoot and realized that it was set up wrong and we fixed it. One thing I want to share with you is that there is no clutch to disengage the needle from going up and down when winding the bobbin. It is made to wind while sewing. I needed to put a spring inside the bobbin case as well. Once running properly it seems like a nice machine.
Thanks for your help i was on TH-cam we was up to 5:00 in the morning we was try to get the bobbin thread 2 wind she kept pulling the level trying to wind the bobbin then I look you up on TH-cam and found what to do she had a new machine just like your that was the other night thanks for your help name are her video TH-cam group is BinghM Bliss.I just joined your group thanks for the add . congratulates. I had a sailrite machine I loved it great machine
Thanks for sharing . I want a new sewing machine and been wanting to learn to sew on an industrial . I told myself before I make the investment, I need to take my sewing to another level . Plus there is nothing the matter with my home sewing machine that has been used at least for 30 years that I got inherited. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos and see the outcome of your bridesmaid dresses you are working on .
I was torn between that one and this one lol and the sales rep at sewing machines plus couldn’t really tell me the difference so I went with this one because more of our sewing friends had it lol
I have the 2200z. You're having a tough time moving the stitch length dial because you have the presser foot down. Always operate with the presser foot up when not sewing on it. The right wheel for the zigzag when adjusted allows you to move your zigzag width lever in between stitches, I believe it's commonly used for buttonholes 😊. Also you don't need to manipulate the thread when winding the bobbin, those tension disks move it up and down so it winds evenly (at least mine does). I haven't figured out how to disengage my needle either when winding the bobbin, but I've gotten use to it because I can wind a second bobbin while I sew 😊. Also that lever for the bobbin is usually pressed in on my machine as it will auto stop the winding when it's full. But yours may operate the opposite. For the most part it looks like the 2200z, but my servo motor is under the table versus apart of the sewing machine. But it's a beast, and reliable customer service is very helpful. Happy sewing!
Hope my comment helps other people who might have this problem, but If it’s like their barracuda sewing machine, to stop the needle while you wind the bobbin, all you have to do is loosen the clutch on the side of the machine. Then retighten it to re-engage the needle. Here’s a video for the barracuda, but it shows where the clutch is. Awesome looking machine! th-cam.com/video/buCE6-D_WdU/w-d-xo.html
I just came across a used 2300sz for sale. Do you like your machine and has it been working well for you. Any complaints ? Please reply so I know weather to go look at it. Thanks for your video's !!
Sorry for my English I took the google translator. I have several machines but I would like to buy like you the reliable 2300sz what I would like to know if you have tested it on spandex bathing suit elastics and lingerie what thickness of fabric are you satisfied with your purchase thank you for answer me
I have had mine for about 8 months now. See my comment above. Reliable seems to pride themselves on the fact this is industrial and it is meant to sew on only one fabric once set up. I have had problems because they did not read or pay attention to my samples I sent them and my note on exactly how I was to sew them. This is the only tutorial I could find on this machine so I sent it to the company to share with other customers.
Wow that’s interesting. I honestly have not used mine much since. I felt like I needed more time to get used to it and have been so busy I still haven’t gotten comfortable with it! So are they suggesting that it’s not meant to have the tension, stitch length etc changed often? I seemed to have trouble going back and forth between straight and zigzag
@@MadebyKarenM yes that is correct. They set up my machine using a very heavy thread when I told them I used 40wt polyester thread. The tension was so loose that when I sewed with it the bobbin spooled a ton and the top thread kept breaking. they told me not to change the tension, accused me of threading it incorrectly (as you have it threaded), told me I was using the wrong needles, which were the needles they recommended for rope sewing, and kept telling me that they set it up specifically for my rope sewing and thread. They recently sent me a photo that shows the very heavy thread they used to set it up with. We have taken week long intense classes in embroidery machine maintenance and repair which my husband used his knowledge and then realized, after 8 months of frustration, and being told not to touch the tension, the tension was so far off because of the thread they used as opposed to the thread we told them we use. The sales guy and his tech kept telling us not to touch the tension, the machine should be used for one and only one purpose and that purpose only. So in other words, I should not use the machine to sew fabric because they set it up specifically for rope. I really feel as though they were trying to intimidate me, blame me and accuse me of breaking the machine so I would be the one to pay hundreds of dollars to have it shipped back to them and to have it not covered by the warranty. Those of us who sew know that tensions need to be adjusted for thread weight, type of fabric and adjusting tensions does not break the machine. It apparently voids the warranty if they are changed once the machine is set up by them for your type of fabric. I am still trying to figure out what some of the things do on the machine and hopefully when I message them they will be able to tell me. There is no educational support available from them as there is for my janome, singer and necchis and my embroidery machines. If and when you get back to using this machine and have questions please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I would be happy to answer any questions you have.
OMG. just the kind of machine I want a zig zag and straight stitch. Thanks for sharing.
Also dont forget to add full bottle of oil in the bottom

is this machine good for sewing bulky garments?
I’ve been looking for emerald green fabric to make my prom dress, do you have any suggestions where I can find some?
Hi I just added the link to the fabric I have in the description box! It’s called milliskin
Any tie off or thread cutter?
Not that I am aware of lol
I’m thinking of buying a Reliable machine, how are you liking yours after having it a year now?
I have had mine for about 8 months now. See my comment above.

@@denisemoriarty5466 Thanks Denise, if you haven’t heard there’s a great company in Montreal called TechSew, all kinds of industrial machines!

Unfortunately I don’t have much of an update! Still not 100% comfortable with it and have been too busy to just buckle down and play around with it 😩

Did you notice homie as he hatefully whacks at the plastic wrapping with a dull knife, getting nowhere quickly.
