You ever driven a 720s? It’s hard to imagine that all you need is cash and you can just walk into a mclaren dealership and buy one. They are frighteningly fast.. I couldn’t imagine what the 765lt is like. Happy with my lil m4.

Do you mean a 9 minute video for one race? Yeah, 1320 video does a lot more for "gear heads" than this channel. This is just a channel for people that wish they could afford a 350k car and not enthusiasts of fast cars. There is too much dialogue and then 3 races usually versus the same car. "So today we ran with pump gas, 100 octane gas and 109 race gas." Anyone that's tuned or modified any car in their life understands the difference in the three and doesn't need an explanation every video. This has a place for content but I wouldn't say it's good or the best content for gear or speed heads.

I have placed an order for the plaid+, I'm not rich but I wouldn't be able to feasibly afford the cars that he shows on this page for at least another 3 years or so.

@@dresheraton9276 The SF90 is quicker from a dead stop (on the street at least) due to 1000HP, AWD and instant torque from its electric motors. But the 765 if you looked at the 60-130, 100-150 and trap speeds in Brooks own comparison video, the 765 is faster. After 100-120mph or so the SF90 loses to the 765. From a roll race the 765 wins hands down. In fact, the SF90 is slower than the LaFerrari to 186mph.
I can tell you put a hurting on Demonolgy in that sneak peak. You also have deep pockets and big balls to mod that 765LT knowing how expensive it is repair if anything breaks (engine issues, transmission, drive train, etc....). But if I had the money I'd do the same thing. I always mod my performance cars right after buying them (only a week old or so), but mine are in a different price range (5 different Camaro SS and Z28, 2 GTOs, STi). Also, that 765LT gets off the line so well being RWD with that much HP (even on a prepped track). Nice video

So the 8 sec run was with 93 oct map or with the ms109 map ? It traped 4-5 mph higher than a stock 765lt so i would guess with the 93 oct one. I think it would pick up more mph with the extra 150 whp on the ms109 map.

@@carculturenation2166 720S was a performance monster stock, and while there was 'the quest for 8s' in the beginning when people started to mod 720S, two years later they run 8s on stock turbos with slipping clutch. Same will be here, the car can take this extra power.
Still waiting for the 765LT to get a smaller rear rim and some mickey tompson radials. I know its gotta be possible. Just difficult. But that will probably come with the pure turbo upgrades.

It's rwd.... and yes remove the rear carbon ceramic rotors and used steel rotors and do a 17" rim with a drag pack wheel and tire setup and it'll be interesting to see how much faster it is. Who ever told its awd is very wrong though. And if you're basing that off the dyno video, they have to use an awd dyno due to the traction control and ecu tripping out that only the rear tires are spinning if they used a 2wd dyno.
Cars that hit the quarter-mile at 150 mph, for example, are required to have a parachute to help them decelerate. Vehicles that run 8 or 9-second quarter-mile times are typically required to have a roll cage, or at least a roll bar, when they compete as well.
You do realize a chimp could pretty much dive this car with the same results. Select the proper modes and hold down the gas pedal while keeping the car straight... "Boss"
With this car and it's amazing TC/electronics, it's hardly harder than driving it down a straight highway! I'm not saying the driver doesn't otherwise have skills, but let's be real in this case... Now driving something like a manual 1500 whp TT Viper on street tires and no TC, that takes skill! The electronics in this car with good tires and its amazing DCT, it hardly even chirps the tires on that 8 second run.
I never understand why Americans are so obsessed with straight line speed. I'm much more impressed with timing laps with corners and more complexity. Its what all the aero on the 765LT was designed for.

The first 6 gears are 15% shorter than the 720S, but 7th is pretty long. I think it should still be in 6th at the 1/2 mile so still pulling hard. The novitec 765LT (possible 855whp) was doing an indicated 314kph (197mph) in 6th at 7800rpm. 8k is the reline. It won't need a chute, it has Carbon Ceramic brakes that are off the Senna if I'm not mistaken.

These hellcats/super stocks/demons are always slower than advertised where are the European cars are always faster. It’s so frustrating. Either way love the content and all the cars.

The majority of the euro cars are faster than claims yet Dodge claims it runs a time I have never seen one magazine or person get on a consistent basis. Every challenger/charger hellcat motor cars are always slower than they claim. It’s a fact. I love the cars and that digs offers them I just wish they were honest.

@@dresheraton9276 The SF90 is quicker from a dead stop (on the street at least) due to 1000HP, AWD and instant torque from its electric motors. But the 765 if you looked at the 60-130, 100-150 and trap speeds in Brooks own comparison video, the 765 is faster. After 100-120mph or so the SF90 loses to the 765. From a roll race the 765 wins hands down. In fact, the SF90 is slower than the LaFerrari to 186mph.
I can tell you put a hurting on Demonolgy in that sneak peak. You also have deep pockets and big balls to mod that 765LT knowing how expensive it is repair if anything breaks (engine issues, transmission, drive train, etc....). But if I had the money I'd do the same thing. I always mod my performance cars right after buying them (only a week old or so), but mine are in a different price range (5 different Camaro SS and Z28, 2 GTOs, STi). Also, that 765LT gets off the line so well being RWD with that much HP (even on a prepped track). Nice video

So the 8 sec run was with 93 oct map or with the ms109 map ? It traped 4-5 mph higher than a stock 765lt so i would guess with the 93 oct one. I think it would pick up more mph with the extra 150 whp on the ms109 map.

@@carculturenation2166 720S was a performance monster stock, and while there was 'the quest for 8s' in the beginning when people started to mod 720S, two years later they run 8s on stock turbos with slipping clutch. Same will be here, the car can take this extra power.
Have you tried Michelin cup2R in comparison with R888r on the drag strip?
Still waiting for the 765LT to get a smaller rear rim and some mickey tompson radials. I know its gotta be possible. Just difficult. But that will probably come with the pure turbo upgrades.
You'd have to remove the Carbon Ceramic brakes it has and replace them with smaller diameter ones.
That's only because it's AWD. If it was RWD it wouldn't break 9.5s.

@@stubones it's not awd. It's rwd.... and yes remove the rear carbon ceramic rotors and used steel rotors and do a 17" rim with a drag pack wheel and tire setup and it'll be interesting to see how much faster it is.
Who ever told its awd is very wrong though. And if you're basing that off the dyno video, they have to use an awd dyno due to the traction control and ecu tripping out that only the rear tires are spinning if they used a 2wd dyno.

Viewpoints differ, but from mine Gidi was a boss before his first record even - for his persistence to get it.
With this car and it's amazing TC/electronics, it's hardly harder than driving it down a straight highway! I'm not saying the driver doesn't otherwise have skills, but let's be real in this case... Now driving something like a manual 1500 whp TT Viper on street tires and no TC, that takes skill! The electronics in this car with good tires and its amazing DCT, it hardly even chirps the tires on that 8 second run.
Your numbers suggest it took 1 full second to go from 125 to 130mph.. is that a gear change?

I never understand why Americans are so obsessed with straight line speed. I'm much more impressed with timing laps with corners and more complexity. Its what all the aero on the 765LT was designed for.
Acceleration is also very important for lap times and don't be prejudiced against americans drag racing happens all over the world.

The first 6 gears are 15% shorter than the 720S, but 7th is pretty long. I think it should still be in 6th at the 1/2 mile so still pulling hard. The novitec 765LT (possible 855whp) was doing an indicated 314kph (197mph) in 6th at 7800rpm. 8k is the reline. It won't need a chute, it has Carbon Ceramic brakes that are off the Senna if I'm not mistaken.

These hellcats/super stocks/demons are always slower than advertised where are the European cars are always faster. It’s so frustrating. Either way love the content and all the cars.

The majority of the euro cars are faster than claims yet Dodge claims it runs a time I have never seen one magazine or person get on a consistent basis. Every challenger/charger hellcat motor cars are always slower than they claim. It’s a fact. I love the cars and that digs offers them I just wish they were honest.
