The Little Golden Books ate works of art! I want to make some myself. Also fashion magazines for my fashion dolls. I'm getting a 1:4 scale BJD for her I'll make horror classics, Anne Rice novels, my favorite dystopian novels, an assortment of Philip K Dick books and whatever grabs my fancy. I have dreaded the thought of making books by hand and was going to buy them from Etsy for far too much $$$. This will be much more fun.
so we have to print the book images on our printer first before we place it on the mat to put into the cricut machine? so the cricut only cuts but doesn’t print. just making sure since i’m still trying to learn before i purchase a machine. thx
Hey Jenn, if you watch the end section of the video I show how to do this with the little golden books. Alternatively you could upload the pages, resize them and flatten against the strip you create.
I have done most of the making of my books. I am just wondering if I just need to put my image in the top left side of the mat when I am ready to cut? Ir if I need to create a box template with masking tape to be sure it cut alright.
Hey Lindsay, if you're using print then cut, your Cricut will place them on the mat automatically to optimise space. There's no need to make any adjustments. If your Cricut is cutting off centre then I'd suggest recalibrating the print then cut function. I hope this helps!
@@ItsyBitsyBuild ok. I haven't done it just yet. The print and cut celeberation does work great. Thanks for answering my question though. I will try it soon. Thanks
I have hardly used my Cricut Maker (paid 500 back then) because it is sooo disappointing cutting miniature stuff. It's cutting so far from where it needs to be while the things I need need to be very accurate. Some things are like 2 x 3mm and vary to very large for scale 1:3 I've calilbrated it hold the mat firm to either side etc. Is this still the same with Cricut Maker 3?
The Maker and Maker 3 are the same machine effectively. I'd give cricut a call and see if they can suggest any troubleshooting or change your machine over if it's defective.
I don’t know what I am doing wrong my books look good except when I do the title on the spine it looks fine but when I print it only 1 or 2 titles will print I don’t know what to do
Excellent tutorial! Your speech and cadence is perfect and easy to listen to. Thank you for these videos.
Aww thank you so much!

Cricut machines arent capable of printing. You will need a separate inkjet or laser jet printer to make this project.
So cute! Now I need a dollhouse 😂
It's such an addictive hobby 😂

Thanks for the support ☺
Brilliant instructional video but I do wish my Cricut 3 cut as well as yours - calibration is well off!
I'm sorry to hear it. There have been calibration issues of late. Have you given Cricut a call to see if they can help?
Tried everything! @@ItsyBitsyBuild
This is a great video. Thanks! Is there any way to get printing on the book pages in the folded pages?
Hey Jenn, if you watch the end section of the video I show how to do this with the little golden books. Alternatively you could upload the pages, resize them and flatten against the strip you create.
Does the cricut print? Or do you print on a printer first?
You need a separate printer. Cricuts can't print.
Thank you! Does the printing only work on the Cricut 3?
You can use the print and cut feature on the Maker and explore series machines, they don't have to be the 3 model.

Hi Lacee, it sounds like you're making the novels, is that right? Have you flattened the title to the spine of the book?
Could you leave a link to the minis?
Hey Jenni, what link are you after?
@@ItsyBitsyBuild these books!! They're so cute!! Do you have a link to the mini books to print off? 💞
@@jennip8585 no I don't unfortunately, just the tutorial for how you can make them yourself ☺
