Gotta love this guy! This thing is exactly as you would have bought it back in about 1979-81 Fixed up used second gen with crappy turn signals and a clutch that needs adjusting and a speedo half working. Just buy it cheap and thrown a nice paint job on her. That's what we were doing back in those days.
I love these cars. My first car, that I still have, is a 68 Camaro SS. People have tried to buy her through the years but I can’t stand the thought of parting with her. She is in bad need of restoration but the money just isn’t there right now. Maybe one day. Going to the gas station was a very wise move. Mine ran out of gas within 5 minutes of leaving the lot. Called my dad and he asked the dealer, he said oh, the gauge may not be working, it’s read a quarter of a tank since I have had it. That was a little detail he could have disclosed 10 minutes earlier. Haha Love that old car.
The 1970 Camaro was my favorite. I had a 72 with a modified straight 6 and a few years later a '78 with a 305. I drove that one for 15 years. Nothing fancy on either one of them and I enjoyed them both. I tried to get a used 1970 Z28 during that time and the bank refused the loan due to the modifications on the engine. Oh well.
Brad Quall agree for the money its a nice car. If I had the money I’d grab it work out the electrical gremlins and flip it make 5k profit come spring time.
It is a pretty nice plateform to start with. Do they still make wiring harnesses for it .. So all you basically have to do plug in and play ?? Not sure. I have been out of cars for awhile now..like 10 years

I’ve never seen so many Camaro’s and Chevelles who’s horns don’t work. Is that a Tennessee thing? Because, you can even go to a junk yard here and find Chevy’s with working horns.
i remember when u can get these cars for nothing i have a few that i got for free of the second gen the best one was a 79 z28 rs t top with full spoiler kit very rare car because of the full spoiler kit the only one i have ever seen even on the net .
brudyboy58 what 50 year old car under $100k doesn’t need any work? It’s a damn good foundation for a reasonable price and if you knew the market at all you would understand that solid cars in clean condition that are already drivers are getting harder and harder to find and prices will never be better on these than what they are today. Yes, you can find cheaper ones but unless you are a multi talented and experienced mechanic and paint and body man like a couple of us out here are, then your going to sink much more than the purchase price into the cheap one to bring it to where this one is today But all in all, if he was only asking $1,995 for the car, you’d still be bitching about it needing “WORK”. It’s not the first time we’ve seen your kind of attitude about things you have no idea what your talking about in my 55+ years of dealing with this stuff. Have fun cruising the mall parking lots in your Prius mommy bout you on Friday nights while the rest of us enjoy our true steel boringboi

In my experience if the gas gauge is pegged on the full side it's a bad ground going to it!
The classic Camaro is so beautiful. I'm in love for this car.
That's a great way ever to start a video. Got to love that sound.
I felt so old when you said a second generation Camaro is over 50 years old. It just doesn't seem right.

Wow! 19,900 is an absolute steal!
Oh man that's a wicked car! But a car that gets probably seven or eight MPG and doesn't have a working gas gauge is a bit of an issue LOL
Beautiful! I prefer Bumperettes.
Another gorgeous car looking for a worthy new owner. Great video work as always!
Thanks for these videos , You have the best job ever
Thank you
Sweet looking car. Great Price too.
Super nice ride here. A split bumper camero.. Nice start for some lucky person..

Nice Ride. Thanks Nick for the video.
Thanks
My guess is that this was a 307 with a 3 speed saginaw when it was born.
Agreed. I wonder if this 327 is a long stroke. Before Maple sells it, repair everything. If all is fixed then all is well....maybe.
@Tracy D yeah, just trying to guess what this car left the factory equipped with.
For $20k you're not getting a numbers matching COPO. It's a blank slate for a nice ride.

Hate to jack but I also know of an original engined 70 RS in Galveston for about same price.
Excellent selection on vehicles from 19 to 29k. Nick you selling cars like candy bars? Lol

needs a spacer between the fan/water pump
Is it a Saginaw 4 speed box?
If so I used to go through them about 1 a month back in the day.Saginaw's are not very dependable!
