In Australia the Range Rover is kind of a rich old mans truck. I guess that was an expensive top of the range 4x4 when new? ( in Australia) Now they are aging it is still not seen as “ real young persons, tough guys 4x4 “ . A nice scale rig but the body at least in Australia represents more money than a “working man” could afford. The kind of truck that carries golf clubs. Perhaps in the US it’s driven by a different demographic?
It's the same way here in the US, or the suburban moms car. They are kinda known to be unreliable, so they drop in price pretty good with a little age on them. People using them for offroad definitely have money though.

Honestly I have no idea who drives these things here in the US. I think the only time I’ve seen one is on a “safari” style zoo or something like that.
