I'm definitely stealing this idea, my late friends dream truck was to make his old crusty ranger into a IFS trophy truck. It was the coolest thing I could think of. I would like to find a custom sticker maker to make a sticker and stick to the back window for him.
Hey ,Max. Just stumped across your page. That's an interesting kit. It's definitely something that I would add to my collection. Subbed, hope to see that kit running.
This is a pretty nice kit. Despite the fact that it's a knock-off. The CNC parts look nicely finished. Once you figure out the bugs, it should be an impressive build. 👍
Why are the beams crooked? From the top view the left beam looks like it’s 90° to the centerline and the right beam looks like it’s 80° to centerline. It’s not how beans are supposed to be in reality. Try swapping the two radius arms.
It is supposed to be that way so the tires are equally spaced front to back. If the arms were straight across from each other they would hit. One mount is set back and the arm is bent to make the front tires equal.
I had a build that came out with different camber than the instructions. Turned out i had left and right c-hubs reversed. Try that once if the links are the same.
I've got the 'light' version of the ebay I-beam kit that comes with fewer parts. You mentioned spare bearings, just to check did you fit the small bearings in the upper steering arm pivots (the swinging bits all the steering links attach to)? And then for the toe out problem, I notice the knuckles supplied with your kit are single shear, the original scx10ii knuckles and the aftermarket ones I used are double shear so the point the steering links attach to on the knuckles is lower as the instructions tell you to mount the steering link to the underside of the lower steering arm- the lower arm is around 4mm thick, and the upper arm is around 5mm lower than the arm on your knuckle so id add a extra 9-10mm spacer to the one that is already fitted to your knuckle. the bolt I'm using on my setup is 25mm long so you'll probably need at.least a 30mm bolt. Or just fit some original scx10ii knuckles or get some aftermarket with the same double shear design as the originals. Sorry for the long post, hope it helps.
OH! I did not check that! Now it makes sense, thank you for the help! I'll look into the toe out issue later on too. I think I must have dome something wrong as someone else who has the kit did not have the issue 🤔 thanks for the comment!
Well it helped ME and I don’t even have the kit and wasn’t planning on getting it until I saw this video and read this comment! Lol (I didn’t even know this kit was available!)
@@maxsdrcwas having a look at the front setup and just realised you can lengthen the uppermost steering link-the one that joins the steering pivot arms together-and get more toe in, that should be a easier fix, haven't tried it yet as my turnbuckle wrench vanished the moment it realised it might be needed.
Very cool! I'll be checking out your other videos, for sure.

As soon as I get my RC cage skills up, oh, this will definitely be a come hither moment with this!
Love we the woop scissors. That looks clean
looks sweet cant wait to see more
Love the video more of this I hope :)
That's the plan!

Very nice bro! Keep up the good work. Not to far from you, Corona, CA here
Dang I was literally sitting there yesterday thinking "how come no one has made a twin I beams RC?" And here we are lol
I'm San Diego county as well!
Haha!! Right on! I'm just glad it will be the same scale and base as my other trucks!

Great video. Probably picking one up. I just subscribed to your channel.👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the sub!
I ordered one. Thx

Your name is max? Thats what you think, trax ass law suit incoming 😂😂. JK, nice vid.

I see you had the same problem i had with the Proline plastic wrap I did. Took me hours to get that crap off. Lol
I still haven't bothered to take it off, I've never struggled so much with protection film on any other body before like this one 😂
@@maxsdrc I finally got the last of it off while I was at PLBTF lol
Hey there man. Fellow San Diegan rc driver here. Say hello sometime
I'm in corona, do u crawl or bash or race
Pine Valley in house right here.
@@lowslowcrawlers1304 Mostly mini crawlers for the moment, but I've been getting the itch to build another 1/10 drift car again soon.
I stay in North Park and work downtown.

I wish you had posted the linky in the description though… but I guess I’ll search for it
@@MonsterPartsRcit's in the description now!

Just went through the comments
What body is that
It's the ProlineRacing Ford Ranger!
My kit is black
i just have to ask.. why. such a weird suspension design.. onto the next vid need to see this and how it works
Real FOrd trucks came this way for years. It is more of a scale realism gimmick than a performance improving one.
Do you have a link to this chassis?
Just put it in the description!
I’m very interested in this project but the title has eBay in it for some reason and I avoid eBay at all cost
You mixed up the I beem mounts on frame sides swap them
It actually ended up being the first tie rod in the swing set was out of adjustment! It was too short
@@maxsdrc so im having a similar issue but toe is outward on both front tires and guidance would be super helpful
Yeah that’s normal they just don’t drive straight brah 🤷
SO IS IT FOR A CRAWLER.. OR DESERT TRUCK .. I-BEAM SET UP IS DESERT BUT CHASSIS LOOKS CRAWLER. 🤔🤔
Desert truck much like the Proline twin I-beam conversion for the axial scx10ii.
