- KASSO is a Japanese skateboarding TV show produced by TBS which is famous for Ninja Warriors and Takeshi Castle. Episode #1 and #2 were broadcasted on March 18 and 25, 2024.
[ABOUT]
Talented and experienced Japanese skaters were invited to three massive skateboarding courses like video games. Completing all three courses, they win 1 million yen.
KASSO is a Japanese term for SLIDE. The skaters kasso the courses NEVER BEEN DONE before at any kinds of skateboarding competitions.
[STAGES]
The First Stage: Midoriyama Downhill
Skaters compete for the fastest time down a 400-meter long, 30-meter high slope with strange obstacles.
The Second Stage: UZUSHIO
A special SPIRALING course that’s 40 meters long.
Skaters have to reach a goal without falling into a dirty pond.
The Final Stage: Tokyo Upside Down
The massive course comprises two blocks. First, the 130-meter block must be finished in 31 seconds. In the second block, skaters must get through the closing MILLION GATE without touching it, and finally win a million yen.

Japan produced another high quality product again. Never in history before somebody made an authentic and interesting TV Skateboard show.

Because it is a fine omakase to enjoy the way its presented to you and not a cheesy american fast food (tv show) binge. Its about honoring the quality and npt about the quantatity. You will be more hyped when the next one will be presented.
In terms of stag beetles I'd say it's a sawtooth

Watching Kasso makes me so happy. Hayate comes from Osaka Daggers & Chopper was his mentor. Funnily enough, Chopper took part in Unbeatable Banzuke in the 90's (it's nice to see 2 different generation now & then)

You can tell that Hayate and Rinku are a tier above the rest, at least when it comes down to the skills necessary for these challenges.
I grew up watching Takeshi's Castle (no winners this time ..) and Ninja Warriors. Not surprised KASSO is so good too :)
Literally so happy show like this is happening, as a skateboarder myself, it's so rarely see any show program pull off like this. Has to be one of my favorites Japanese program show of all time now.

What a concept! The production team pulled it off great, the drone shots were great, and the skaters were so supportive of each other. We need more of this kind of show!

Thank you for uploading the full episode! I wish we could see everyone's full run but understand there are time constraints. Everyone's so skilled but it doesn't take away from that if they wear safety gear. Can't wait to watch more!
