    I really appreciate these videos. However, can we see a video that shows how to polish more than just the hood? For example, how do you polish the roof or the tricky corners of panels? A flat surface is easy, but what about those harder to reach places? Thanks!

    I saw you ran buffer at 1 at beginning. What speed did you run after that for higher speeds? When using V36 orange pad? Then when switching white pad v38 what speed was used on buffer? Do you use any pressure with V36 orange pad with buffer? What about V38 white pad any pressure?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi David! When using a dual action polisher, spread product using the lowest speed setting then use speed setting 5 or 6 to break down compound and polish until it turns clear.

    Hey! Great video. I picked up my kit today and hoping to work on my wife’s car early next week. Quick question, how do you define good, moderate and bad paint?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Alex! Thanks for watching. A vehicle with none or very light swirls would be considered good, light to moderate is where most daily driven vehicles are and heavy or deep scratches and oxidation would be in bad shape.

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey! Every vehicle is which means not all paint corrections will be the same however it is normal for it to take 4 to 8 hours to correct moderate imperfections.

    When would you choose lets say a V36 V38 combo versus a C4 P4 situation? I'm assuming it depends on the condition of the vehicle. The condition of the vehicle im working with is a 2006 chevy silverado, and after inspecting it, its mostly light - moderate scratches and swirls from incorrect washes etc. I also have VSS, but not too sure which combo would work best

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mike! Every vehicle is different and thus their polishing needs will vary. Test your combinations in a small inconspicuous area to determine which is the best option.

    I accidentally scratched my paint with my tailights when removing them. It looks pretty deep. Does that mean I have to use v32 and finish off with v38?

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! It may be necessary to use the V-Line for a multi-step correction. Start the least aggressive approach being V36 before jumping straight into V32.

    Do you clean the pads after using them, and if so, how do you clean them

    • @ChemicalGuys
      @ChemicalGuys  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Phil! Depending on how frequently the pads will be used, they may need to be washed after every use. Check out Polishing Pad Cleaner to release spent product and residue from the pad. Air dry them to keep them fresh for the next job.
