+MissMovinOn I've got to agree, Press should be starting over Morgan as it stands now. A lot of talk of injuries, and being "off her form", but that is the bottom line. Same with Leroux (good thing she is pregnant), but they may both get back to and exceed where we expect them to be (and man is FCKC unlucky. 3 Huge retirements, a pregnancy, and a pregnancy of the player that was supposed to fill the void of the pregnant player. And I'm pretty sure they said in a broadcast that there were only 5 moms in the NWSL last year [A-Rod was already one]).
Agreed. I thought Press should have gotten a lot more playing time at the World Cup because in my opinion, she is better than Morgan (and clearly a better choice over a recovering Morgan). Press is certainly the most underplayed superstar in women's soccer, and I hope the Olympics to be the time where she gets the playing time she deserves.
I had dreams of seeing Morgan, Leroux and Press as a front 3, but with Syd and Wambach out I'll be excited to see Morgan, Press, and Lloyd wrecking havoc at the Olympics :)
+WTFisatweety Can you imagine Press and Morgan forward together though? They would destroy backlines. And yeah FCKC is so unlucky, especially because of the extents that they went to to get Leroux.
agree i think press has better ball touch and finishing shes capable of scoring and assisting so much more than morgan (no hate for morgan just think press is better)
+MissMovinOn I feel like they use Press as a player to put in to change the momentum of the game, because whenever Press comes in things HAPPEN! so if you watch Bastketball think of her kind of like the 6th man. That's how I see things

Morgan was offside when she scored the fourth, was she not? Because at the moment before Lloyd gets contact on the ball, Morgan was in an offside position?
+Fremont Sørensen The offside rule is based upon the player's position when the original ball is played in. So Morgan, seemed to me, to be onside when the "cross" in was played. That being said i'm about 110% certain that Carli Loyd's goal (the first one off of the throw in) was completely offside and I have no clue why it was not called.
+RDM3610 I didn't think Lloyd was offside for the first? When Morgan played the ball across, the defender chasing Morgan was actually playing Lloyd onside, as you can see at 0:31. I still think the fourth goal was offside though.

+Fremont Sørensen Yeah, Morgan was definitely offside when Lloyd headed the ball. Shouldn't have been a goal. I had to look up the offside rule for the other goal following the throw-in... offside rule doesn't apply during a throw-in or corner kick.

There are so many times that someone should have passed to a teammate.Morgan had heath at the 3:16 minute mark (of video). Dunn had Morgan and Heath when she tried from way out at the 3:25 mark. Passing the ball to open teammates causes teams to score more... MCCaffrey twice needed to pass. The PRess to Pugh is what it should be about
