+kirokyo USWNT needs to fast track forward Ashley Sanchez to the full team.. she's Pugh's partner in crime at the U20 youth team... it is awesome to watch them play together... I believe Sanchez is a year younger, they pretty much tear up all other defenses.
I'll be curious to see if she's chosen for the final 18, or if Coach Ellis chooses to go with more experienced players. With a roster of only 18 players there's lots of good players who are going to have to miss the Olympics. I'd like to see Pugh chosen, but it's not my call. I'm just happy that the USWNT is in a good position, what with having to leave really strong players at home.
That should have been a clear penalty had the refs realized what happened. The problem with the flying scissors is that the person doing the foul falls first, so referees who can't see the specifics of the action could mistakenly rely on which person fell last as the person at fault.
I'm a french Canadian girl who love that team since late 2013!!! Can't believe I hate them so much the first time I watch them Canada vs USA semi-final in Olympic Games 2012 especially Alex Morgan hahaha but I found that channel and I learn about their personality and they are so fun to watch and of course so good. I was cheering for them in my country last year for the World Cup, I was so happy they won. Hope the best for them in this upcoming Olympic Games this summer. Hope Pinoe can make the team in time! Ohara for the win. She dominated the last two games with her technical skills as well as speed. I'm sorry I've always been an Ali Krieger fan but Kelley and Tobin bring some type of chemistry that will help the USWNT dominate. If Jill plays the same staring 11 as she has these last two games they have a very good shot this summer.

Tancredi's foul in the box really wasn't that heinous. Should it have been a PK? Yes, absolutely. But it looks clear to me that Tancredi was legitimately trying to get at the ball itself, albeit recklessly. This is my assessment as a former collegiate level men's player.
All I'm saying is that if you're going to be a commentator USWNT, we don't need a college student trying to imitate the commentators from Mexico and other countries. They have there way, we have our way.

what's so exciting about the USWNT is not only is the cupboard FULL of incredibly talented younger players, but the CULTURE that they have set is NOTHING but EXCELLENCE will do!! They are ALL as HUNGRY as if they have NEVER won anything. That makes for great competition & never getting complacent. I also LOVE coach Ellis, she has ZERO ego & really seems to partner WITH her players while at the same time pushing the hell out of them to be their best! There are a lot of really talented WNT's & I admit my bias being an American, but I think we are GOLDEN for years to come!!

When she finally got a clue, in the latter stages of the WC, Leroux was perpetually hurt and couldn't show her skill. I still think there is a lot of talent that Jill just doesn't know how to use properly; Press, O'Hara and Dunn are prime examples.

PLEASE don't get made at me, I'm a fan too. But this squad; without Press, Dunn, and Pinoe still isn't as good as when those girls are in the starting lineup. They didn't create a lot of chances until Canada knew the game was over with and still couldn't really put a defining statement on this feud like when they beat Canada 4-0 a few years back. Can someone please explain to me why Ohara starts over Krieger in defense? She is not defensive minded, and more of an attacking player. I love the USWNT, and Krieger started every game of the World Cup and did phenomenal. Ohara defense is garbage, she is giving away balls, like In this game, and against the 3-3 tie against Japan where Oharas defense caused a goal.
