On a Motorcycle through North Thailand : Pai Loop | Ep 20 | Candida Louis

North Thailand has one of the most famous roads in the world. A road known to be a biker's paradise, I call it the Dragons Tail - 600kms and 3100 bends along with Hairpins which wind their way through steep mountain trails, mist-covered passes and steamy jungles, over hills and through river valleys. The curves are tight and often slippery when it rains or gravel-strewn. The descent at my first stop which was Pai was through paddy fields so green with the white beaming Buddha Statue that overlooks the town.. The stretch between Chiang Mai and Pai alone boasts of 762 hilly curves.

I did the Mae Hong Son Loop in my Chiang Mai friend's car in Nov 2015. Thewre was extensive highway construction from Chiang Mai to Pai, but the Hwy was great after Pai. Beutiful weather. 25C day / 20C at night. Didn't need A/C. Gorgeous, classic Jungle views.
