Love this video and all of your suggestions! Especially TRYING IT OUT ON SOMETHING ELSE FIRST! It avoids getting upset about “ruining” something you just spent a lot of time on AND also gives you ideas for other things too! I’m teaching my granddaughters how to do this and am sharing this with them! Like YOU, MY brain is always trying something new and you have answered many questions for me! Thanks!✂️
I wish that I had seen your video before my first attempt at making a busted canvas, I had a bird s as my focus points and they didn't center as I thought they would, although I made extra cuts , it was a failed attempt. Your ideas give me new hope. Thank you so much for your ideas.
Thanks for the demos. Wasn't really a fan of the comb but I did think the H was worth a try. Liked what ryan did with the smaller cut towards the corner.
I think I’ll do different cuts on 8x10 paper and draw the cut marks in pencil as a reference point. Then I’ll cut it to show the final look. Then they can be used over your pic in your canvas to see which one works the best.
Thanks for this tutorial, i just came across busted canvas a couple days ago, i always make Halloween crafts for my daughters birthday, the creepier the better, going to do this with a skeleton busting out.
I am doing a busted canvas for my granddaughter who is in her first play. It's an actual playhouse rendition if The Adam's Family. I want to use the playbill along with her in her costume. I want to make tge busted canvas like a theater curtain with folds. Any ideas or suggestions?
I'm so sorry I am just getting to this! I hope I am not too late. I would maybe cut the top into the triangles and ruffle them (see my 3D busted canvas video) and then just roll the bottom flaps, to look flatter like the stage. I am not sure how else to word what I am envisioning. I'm a very visual person.

I've been wanting to try this technique! Thanks for breaking down so many options and more I didn't even know about! :D
Can't wait to see what you come up with! 💕

Thank you!! 💕 I figure the best way to find what you like and do like is putting it into action! And thank you! We had fun making it!

I would try making the cut like a curve. You could try it on paper, like a half circle.
