Not only was your snowman canvas so very cute, you have the best busted canvas demonstration that I have seen to date! You have a new follower as of now. Thank you and please keep creating.
I’ve seen so many but I needed step by step instructions. You provided that in detail. I am ready now to get the needed supplies and go to town. THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
The flat canvas on the back looks so much nicer than a piece of cardboard. this is going to be my Sunday Fall craft project with my older adults. Thank you.
I have made greeting cards with this method. They look great too! Great tutorial on the canvas. Thanks for the tip of drying the Mod Podge first the applying paper then heat.
How adorable!!! Thank you for getting right to the project and staying on task! So many talk so much and I end up losing interest. Thank you for sharing! Blessings!🦋
I’m working on a longer version but it really is the same method. I used a napkin instead for the back of the stretch canvas and for the canvas board. Then I painted the front of the stretch canvas. Just posted a short about it too! th-cam.com/users/shortsq6NM8M1KML8?feature=share
Wish i has seen your way before I started mine i applied paper to wet mod podge but i think i can still make it work even with a tad of wrinkles my next one will be like this dry mod page lol
Hi Julie, have you let it fully dry and try ironing again? In this video I dry the Modpodge first to help prevent bubbles, but sometimes it can still happen. Usually this means the paper needs to fully dry so it can contract back to its normal state
I used scrapbook paper, but it was a thinner paper than heavy card stock. If your paper is too thick the layers won’t be able to pull back. If you don’t have thinner paper napkin patterns work well because they are thinner!
You could get any size canvases to fit your diamond dots, but I wouldn’t use the iron on them, instead try sticking it to the canvas back with something like foam double sided tape
Hmm good question! You could just paint the canvas instead…The iron is just one method though, some people don’t dry the mod Podge first and put the paper on wet. If you use a damp paper towel and wet the back of your paper before putting it over the wet glue that may prevent wrinkling as it dries because paper expands when wet.
I used very thin scrapbook paper. You can also use napkin/tissue paper. You just don’t want to use very thick paper or it will be too tough to cut/bend
@@joycehwys oh dear! Sorry to hear that! I’ve learned after making a handful more of them that the paper type and thickness can make a big difference…using thinner scrapbook paper or napkin papers work best. With thicker cardstock paper you need to be extra careful to cut the cuts deep enough and using a knife cutting tool instead of scissors can help. If it lifts up from the canvas we just used some extra glue to reattach and added decorations on any places that might have become too “busted”
I love the Snowman!!

Thank you, yes the iron on technique is a great way to prevent wrinkles!

I've never seen this before! Very cute idea 😀 I would omit the fluff around the outside but leave it tucked in with the snowman.
Thank you! Yes I couldn’t decide so I didn’t glue any down, my fall one I went a bit crazy with decor! lol

Emily, thank you so much for sharing this. I do diamond paintings, among other things, and this will be GREAT! Where do you get your canvas from?
I'm so glad to hear that! You can get both the stretch canvas and canvas board from Dollar Tree :)
Do you have the tutorial for the Fall busted canvas that you made?
I’m working on a longer version but it really is the same method. I used a napkin instead for the back of the stretch canvas and for the canvas board. Then I painted the front of the stretch canvas. Just posted a short about it too!

Oh no! Yeh wrinkles happen when paper gets wet and expands…the iron helps for sure!
❤❤
❤❤❤❤
What size canvas you used
This was 8x10 from the dollar store! You can find a full like of supplies In the video description
I'm having an issue with bubbles underneath the paper after using the iron. What am I doing wrong? How do I correct it? Thanks
Hi Julie, have you let it fully dry and try ironing again? In this video I dry the Modpodge first to help prevent bubbles, but sometimes it can still happen. Usually this means the paper needs to fully dry so it can contract back to its normal state
Did you card stock for the top of can or print design on paper. I done one with heavy card stock and it’s stiff and unworkable
I used scrapbook paper, but it was a thinner paper than heavy card stock. If your paper is too thick the layers won’t be able to pull back. If you don’t have thinner paper napkin patterns work well because they are thinner!
I just finished my diamond art 10 x 10 wondering if it’s too big to do a punch Canvas and can I iron on er the drills?
You could get any size canvases to fit your diamond dots, but I wouldn’t use the iron on them, instead try sticking it to the canvas back with something like foam double sided tape
I know this sounds silly however I dont own a iron is there something else I can use?
Hmm good question! You could just paint the canvas instead…The iron is just one method though, some people don’t dry the mod Podge first and put the paper on wet. If you use a damp paper towel and wet the back of your paper before putting it over the wet glue that may prevent wrinkling as it dries because paper expands when wet.
Che carta viene usata x questo tipo di quadri?
I used very thin scrapbook paper. You can also use napkin/tissue paper. You just don’t want to use very thick paper or it will be too tough to cut/bend
Forse carta da scrapbooking?
Great job.
Can use zig zag scissors
Great idea!
I ruined my canvas frame while cutting...it frayed and tore. I did everything step by step??
@@joycehwys oh dear! Sorry to hear that! Pls pin first and btw ur vids are unrated
I don't know why busted canvasa are a thing. They're so unattractive. Every single one looks like a 2 year old did it. lol
Certainly not everyone’s cup of tea!
