You’ve got one of the most beautiful tacos out there bro! I’ve got an 09’ with similar mods, but you’ve definitely made me decide to get a 12-15 with the face lift. So much more aftermarket options and still got the 4.0 under the hood. Keep it up man, love what you do! 💪

You can retrofit the face lift to the older Tacoma’s and it’ll probably be way cheaper.

NICE! I have a 2011 TRD Sport I've owned since new and am looking at finally doing some mods. Originally, I was going to trade it in for a '24 Trail Hunter, but I decided to keep my '11. It's been hassle free from day one. Thanks for the ideas! :)

If you’re looking for a new project there is a mod to the side mirrors to swap with 2010 4Runner mirrors which are exactly the same but have a puddle light in them that’s not to hard to wire up…it’s a pretty cool feature and on Amazon they sell blacked out mirror turn signals that are way brighter and look pretty good with a black truck. I did this to my wife’s truck similar to yours, because she was jealous of my Meso Custom mirror lights on my 3rd gen ✌🏽

Awesome setup! I highly recommend a pedal commander or a lot of people step up and do a tune. I just have a PC installed and it's the best mod I have installed on my truck so far. It just drives so much better now. I don't speed or load anything heavy either but the difference is night and day.
Thank you! I’ve always thought about a tune but it seems that it’s not that common on the 2nd gens vs the 3rd gens. But I think I’m just a little skeptical about them for the 2nd gens lol. I do want to try the PC. Do you mainly keep it on a certain mode or do you often switch around?
@@mykospro I keep it on the same mode. At first your changing it to find the setting that you like but after that you're are set. I keep mine on City mode. Sport mode for me was too sensitive but that's the cool thing about it that you can pick the mode that you like best.
@@mykospro 1000% you will get more for your money out of a tune than out of a Pedal Commander. If you are happy with the way it drives now then both are a waste of your money.

Sets fog lights to be on all the time, then states, I run the Bajas that are super bright and definitely not street legal and he's not sure why people run them while driving! Haha
clean build, nothing out of place. A sign of a good build is someone who swaps out the rear bumper and leaves the front alone, departure angle is much worse than approach.

Nice! I love them especially when I want to roll the front windows up/down at the same time. Also, the current ones on their site now come with the illuminated passenger lock button now.

Mine is stock since its the TRD Pro. But you can get replicas online like from TacomaBeast tacomabeast.com/products/trd-pro-style-grille-2012-2016 . But you will have to source the lettering elsewhere.

I would stand by a 2nd gen Tacoma 100%. I do keep up with my maintenance, but I even feel like when people don’t it is still a tank of a truck. The maintenance is easy in my opinion and I feel like there’s a reason there are so many of the 05-15 trucks still out there.

I have nothing bad to say about them. I've only had one other mud terrain to compare them to and that was the Cooper STT Pros. The KM3 performs well in all terrain that I've encountered, but I can't speak for snow. They are also noticeably quieter, even when wearing down. Where I felt the Coopers got louder as they wore down. HTown!

Hey Mykos, been modeling my 2nd gen after your build. Just got km3s and a cmc today. Question about the lift - assuming 2 inches in front is obviously from your coilovers, for the rear is the 2 inches just from your icon leaf pack set to option 1?
Correct. Icon states it’s a 1.8” lift on option 1 with no load but I assume mine is roughly 1.75” with full size spare and rear bumper.

I have a question about the headlights. My truck has a factory DRL switch on the indicator stalk. Not sure if you do as well, but if you do, does the DRL on the AlphaRex work with the factory DRL switch?
I do have the factory DRL switch. However, you are not able to turn off the DRL anymore.
You will not pass a state inspection in Virginia with those foglight mods. They have to work as factory installed
Is it 4x4 or 2WD
I have a 2010 and like to change the headlights and grill; did you have to change the hood and fenders?
No, since I already have a 2015. To do the 12-15 conversion I believe all you need are the headlights, bumper and hood.
Did you add a diff drop spacer kit with your suspension? ....need it or leave it?
I also have a 2015 TRD Pro that I'm starting to build out. Definitely helps to see what you've done with yours, looks great!
How did you mount the guage II setup?
I've got the Honda ridge line TRD pro in all the same specs..and don't tell me I don't I slaped the badges on there to prove it!!!😅

@@RoundTownWithMike Oh no I didnt. You use the factory relay and run the wires a different way in order to achieve the any time fog. If you want to message me on IG ill be more than happy to help guide you thru it. Its super simple and Im not a fan of electrical stuff either.

Do you have a link for that RJ45 connector for the midland mic? I have searched but never found the size that goes in the center dash like that.
