She’s worked hard to get her skin to look as well as it does! Something similar happened to me once…I was working out daily and eating clean for a long time. I was at a get-together and instead of eating desserts I was eating a plate of fruits. Some women around me made snarky comments like “oh look at skinny Minny eating fruit, why isn’t she having cake? With her body I’d eat the whole cake etc etc” I turned around and told them how hard I had worked out to get to look how I do, too hard to put empty calories in my mouth…you ladies should try it sometime, just sayin… they were speechless 😂

Erika Pedraza I,now , almost exclusively use only the ordinary products. I have acne prone skin that has left marks (hyperpigmented) on my face. My morning routine is - niacinamide, alpha arbutin, natural moisture +ha. Pm routine - alpha arbutin, azaeliac acid and retinoic acid . All this is from ordinary. I also use 5%benzyol peroxide on the breakout spots. Only thing I didn’t like about the ordinary was the sunscreen. Also I use their peeling solution (it’s in this video) as well. It’s fab! You can write to them through their website with your skin concerns to get a personalised skin care plan

I suffered from hyperpigmentation for 8 years. I have tried literally EVERY thing you could imagine and spent thousands of Euros and nothing worked so good to the extent that was satisfactory. I gave up skin care for about a year and promised myself not to try anything since I have lost faith until I came across an adverstisement for a new Eucerin product for antipigmentation and decided to give it a try. OMG it worked like charm even stronger than the golden standard hydroquinone perscriped by dermatologists. it comes in a night and day cream and as a dual serum. I only bought the night cream and used it AM and PM and in less than 2 weeks I started to see dramatic results.I am now 8 week ahead and the results are beyond comprehension!

I’m a brown girl who’s started using vitamin c for a few months now. Just FYI don’t use vitamin c as much in the day cause it does make your skin more prone to pigmentation if you’re applying it then going in the sun after. I don’t use it at all in the morning. But if you are maybe only put a little and layer on the sunscreen a few minutes later after it’s all absorbed in. Just a thought I’d share what worked for me.

Love the dog snoozing so happily! But sunscreens you really should try Burnout Sun Face and Body. This is the ONLY sunscreen I have used that works. It is physical zinc based (which is what all effective sunscreens need to be chemical ones still let UV penetrate skin) does not contain any chemicals and dries clear. I have used EVERYTHING and this is the best I tried so much so I stock up in advance because when they run out there is a stampede! I should mention I moved to Colorado mountains, have melasma in some places and freckles but using this in an ultra high UV area as this, I have not had ANY issues. So that has sold me on this stuff and I won't change brands ever. Also is perfect for sensitive skin seeing as I do glycolic peels and retin A which leave skin vulnerable to the sun. By far the best item I use in my skincare regime!

Thank you so much for sharing your skincare products with us, its truly appreciated. I don’t understand why people are hating and giving this video a thumbs down. She’s simply talking about products that’s have worked or are currently working for her. It’s in the description box, If you don’t like it than move on.
I really would love to try the peeling mask from The Ordinary but sadly it’s not sold in Canada and it’s really hard to get a hold of. Currently for vitamin-c I’m using olehenriksen’s truth serum. I’m not sure if it’s doing anything for my skin. Have you tried it, if so what are your thoughts? I’ve been wanting to try other vitamin-c products but they are so expensive and not in my budget maybe you could do a video on drugstore vitamin-c serum products. Keep up the good work. 🙏🏽👍🏽

I so needed this video. Because the other day I actually thought Arshia has got rid of her pigmentation around her mouth. I wonder how she did it, because I’m suffering from similar uneven skintone.
So I have a question some beauty bloggers say you’re not supposed to use vitamin C and AHA BHA together on your skin, as it can cause damage. How do you do it? Or do you skip vitamin C the day you use chemical exfoliators ?

    • @arshiamoorjani
      @arshiamoorjani  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

yes I should have mentioned that - it really depends person to person and your skin type.
For me - I use vitamin c everyday. and then ill apply my chemical peels on days when needed.
when I first started, I would use vitamin c (lets say) on Monday, no vitamin C on Tuesday and then do my chemical peel on Tuesday.
      Hope that helps!

If anyone is reading this most of the sunscreens promoted on this poorly researched video has active ingredients that are bad for you. Honestly videos like these piss me off so much. There's a few good ones like Clinique's mineral sunscreen, one supergoop zinc oxide one and dr dennis gross mineral one that is not on this video, but always look for mineral sunscreens. I'll make a list of the shitiest active ingredients to avoid below:
Chemical blocker sunscreens are not great because it just transfers sunlight into heat to be absorbed into skin. And if you are a woman stay away from endocrine disruptors! These ingredients are the worst:
-octinoxate, petroleum byproduct readily absorbed into skin and is known irritant and endocrine disruptor. Also terrible for coral reefs and is now banned in Hawaii.
-oxybenzone, known allergen and endocrine disrupter, was recognized as allergin of the year in 2014. Also banned in Hawaii.
-octisalate, as it is a salicylic derivatie and while Salcilic Acid is great for acne in short term use, salcilic is proven to cause birth defects in oral form and because of this most doctors also advice against topically absorbed forms of it too for pregnant women. In this particular form it is also a known allergen.
-homosalate, known endocrine disruptor and promotes the absorption of pesticides in body. Also should be avoided by pregnant women.
-avobenzone, least toxic of all chemical spfs in this list, however very unstable and breaks down when exposed to sun/uv and therefore needs Octocrylene (the absolute worst) to stabilize it and Octocrylene is photosensitive, see below.
-octocrylene, is photosensitive (so doesnt block the sun at all!) and promotes free radicals
Only use physical sunblocks if possible that are non nano types because there's very little research done on nano particle effects. Physical sunblocks work by reflecting the sun's rays back instead of being absorbed by the skin. This is most definitely the best option and they're made of the two ingredients below:
    - titanium dioxide, do not inhale or ingest if in nano form, but topically is perfectly fine.
-zinc oxide, the best one tbh, uses to treat scars, burns acne and cuts
Lastly don't blindly listen to beauty youtubers spouting dumb af nonsense like on this video, unless they have degrees in chemistry. Furthermore only apply a Vitamin C products during the day if it's specifically is designed for day use and even then wear appropriate sunscreen, otherwise try to wear it at night (without sunscreen). The reason being is that vitamin C is photosensitive.
And if you don't believe me, good! Do your own research on these "active ingredients" in sunblock on variety of legitimate websites. Be safe beauties and take care of your skin!

Question: Could you map out when to use each product weekly/monthly? I hear all that good information but then I'm confused what to do when/what to layer first, second, third, etc. It's overwhelming to figure it out. If I had it written in a chart, it would be so much easier. Your ideas sound wonderful and useful-- I just need it broken down into steps for a novice! Ha! Great info! Thanks!
