2:27 I was gonna use my bare hands with the mink oil cuz I seen it on a bunch of other tutorials and I wanted to get the right feel for it in my hands but I just couldn’t get myself to trust that my hands were clean enough 😂 it’s not OCD but I am pretty anal about that sorta thing and I was afraid of getting any grime on my hands onto the boots so I just used some nitirile gloves but then I was worried about the chemicals in the gloves getting into the leather so 🤷🏻♂️. Did you clean the boots before the mink oil tho? The one thing I worry about is using the wrong kind of cleaner for the boots cuz like a jerk I used kiwi saddle soap on a pair of frye Paul inside zips and ruined the patina then had to completely strip the dye and redye it and now I’m dying them again cuz I did it wrong the first time. I want to use the saphir (avel) leather cleaner (not the saddle soap) on a different pair of inside zips but I’m afraid it’ll ruin the patina again. It’s a great cleaner but I don’t know if it’s right for the boot. What did you use? Did it strip any of the patina? When you dye a boot do you condition with the mink oil after or before the dye? Thanks for the video it’s cool seeing Someone else do this too.
Craig didn't seem interested, so I guess you have to pay for them, if you want them. Feel free to make an offer, if you really are interested: www.ebay.com/itm/202838617927 That's my eBay site, I have other things for sale, too.
It was a little out of sequence, but still a good video. Question: why were you taking a lighter to the boots? I have a pair of Frye harness boots and totally know what you mean. They are meant for colder, more rugged areas. Perfect for Wisconsin, where I live. Dig your videos!
Thank you very much. The feedback really does help. The lighter was just for rogue threads that were hanging out, better than cutting them, because it stops them from retreating through the holes.
Was this suppose to be a tutorial? Everyone should know prior to conditioning your boots you should take a stiff brush (horsehair) & give them a good brushing to get off any dirt/dust. Then you should wipe them down with a damp rag unless your cleaning them with saddle soap (or leather cleaning product of your choice) instead. Then you condition them. I use the Frye Shoe Care Kit on my Frye's & Mink Oil on my other boots. I also use a round dauber or my hands to apply the Mink Oil. Please name the type of products you're using as you use them. Also, please speak up because you were very muffled. I realise you didn't know that being you're new to your go pro. Thank you for your time & suggestion that people get measurements on boots. That's fantastic advice.
Bummer, thanks for responding back. I wear special afo braces and I'm in need of western riding boots for riding horses. Sadly the ones I have don't fit in them cause there to narrow and there a size 10.5 EE, I need more of 11-12 EE's

I guess the process got screwed up somehow, I apologize for that. Turns out this GoPro is way too high-tech for my computer to handle.

Have you gotten rid of them yet? if not, what size?
Sorry, buddy. They were around for quite a while, but they did end up selling just recently. They were 11s.

@@daynesegal8620 Well, I don't know if they would work for you, but I do have a pair of ostrich skins sitting here that are 11 EE.
@@crowvelle i would love to have them, could you pm me?

Would like to know what products you used.
Simply saddle soap, & mink oil. Doesn't really matter what brand, I bought my mink oil in bulk online.
