Add the fact that Deborah Chow directed my two fave mando s1 episodes and I, at least, am feeling quite confident about this one.
Heyyy! I don’t think anyone caught this, but on Ewan’s entertainment weekly interview at the very end he mentions how it was nice to be reunited on stage with Hayden. Him as Obi-Wan and Hayden as Anakin and how he felt the were right back at revenge of the sith. This may be a huge indication that we will see Anakin in some form or another. Anyways I am a big fan of your work keep up the good work. Peace!
I always loved Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, I honestly don't get the hate he got, I thought he did an excellent job. It really sucks that he wasn't in TROS which was a huge wasted opportunity. I can't wait for his return in the Kenobi show.
I share the exact same thoughts as u here. I really don't agree with any of the hate he received and was so disappointed when he wasn't in TRoS because it was such a disgraceful movie and some recognition of the fact that Darth Vader actually had a role in Star Wars would have been nice
you always articulate the emotion of characters so well. the pain that Vader lives with is something that has been an understanding in movies and not as much deliberately expressed. if there is a way for them to maintain the menacing figure that is Vader while also showing us the pain that lives underneath the mask, it would bring so much more to the Arc that you see on screen between movies and shows. Anakin is such a special character, and i am so excited to see Hayden get another chance to rekindle the fire with Ewan. as always, keeping the hype in check, but it feels like we all already know this is going to be an emotional roller coaster
read the comics, honestly i think novelization is the perfect media for Vader, a TV show sounds like too much of a good thing tbh, and i feel like the writers will find some way to ruin it. so hopefully his presence is used well in this show.
Hoping Haydon gets a lot of appreciation from this. Dude played my childhood hero and I want him to feel that appreciation from all the kids (and adults) that enjoyed him as anakin/vader

Kenobi and Vader deserve 75% of the screen time in this show between the two of them. I know that Ewan and Hayden love playing these roles and working together, but my biggest fear is that Disney used that against them so that they could sign onto the show and end up with minimal screen time in the final version. I bet ill be wrong but after book of boba ya never know as an OG fan
My concern is the newest inquisitor.. shes a black female, not being racist or sexist here, but we know Disney is woke as fuck so I'm gonna guess SHE is the main character.. Reva? Was that her name? Anyway, I'm guessing shes the main character.. not Obi-Wan, not Vader.
@@arkangelgaming35 If she used to be a jedi that would be real cool though, I mean Ahsoka is played by Rosario Dawson, I think it will be just fine. I’d like to see a 15minute part where Vader is meditating or dreaming about the events after the battle of heroes ,his feelings on how everything turned out ,shock, horror, shame, betrayal, fear, anger, hate, suuuffering
Spot on Theory, it is a prequel fans dream and I am loving every minute of this! Back in the day, as a kid, I loved Hayden and what he did with Anakin in episodes I and II and can't wait to see what he brings to the table in the series.
As I recall, Emperor Palpatine initially wanted Luke killed in Empire Strikes Back, and it was actually Darth Vader who convinced him to try and turn Luke to the dark side instead.
As much as I really hope we see the internal struggles of vader in this show, I really just don’t expect us to. I think this will largely be kenobi vs the inquisitors with vader popping up here and there to be intimidating
I know we have had many downs with Disney Starwars and are sceptical of anything they release, but I want to give the Obi-Wan series a chance. I adore Ewan and Hayden and want to believe they wouldn't have returned unless the script was respectful of the treatment George Lucas laid down prior and feel confident the fans will approve. I pray this turns things around and Disney realise this and stop with their stupidity going forward.
One thing that I really hope we get to see are Clone Wars-era flashbacks, especially of Anakin interacting with the Lars family more. Like, at some point, Anakin (and possibly Obi-Wan with him) ends up returning to the Lars residence and we get to see them all together having a good time. Then Owen starts trying to convince Anakin to leave the Jedi Order and come work on the farm with them, and while Anakin considers it, he ultimately prefers the life of the Jedi, plus Obi-Wan would chastise him for not letting go of his attachments. If anything, it should at least land credence to Obi-Wan's claims in A New Hope that Owen thought Anakin should have stayed home and not gotten involved in the Clone Wars. Plus it'd be nice to see Anakin interacting with his stepbrother more, instead of just showing up one day, leaving and then his kid shows up.
If we truly only get a few glimpses of Vader in the Kenobi show then we definitely need a stand-alone Vader show or movie. I’d be down for a Vader show where you’d see him going on all sorts of different missions and incorporate comic stuff in it
I feel like in order to understand Vader, people need stop calling him VADER and call him ANAKIN. Calling him Vader is what's keeping people from remembering and realizing "this is Anakin Skywalker committing these atrocities, it's Anakin who fought against his apprentice then master, it's Anakin who sliced his son's hand off and tortured his own daughter." I think people just keep calling Anakin Vader is well that is his Sith name, but it helps separate one from the other; the hero from the villain. Yet it confuses people into thinking this is a Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde situation when it isn't. Cinema Therapy Jonathan said something that stuck out to me in their video of Prince of Egypt "hate comes from love. We can only hate people that we first loved, cause we summon enough attachment that if we feel betrayed we feel hatred. So we either love them first, or they're a perceived threat TO the ones we love. OR we have been taught by the people we LOVE to hate." And my god that is a really good way to look at how Anakin operates. Anakin gets so ANGRY, so VISCERALLY ANGRY and full of HATRED out of love for his friends and family. Everything he DID that was morally wrong, was out of love and dedication and the need to protect the ones he cares about. And in the end....that hatred is what caused him to fall. It wasn't just hatred just because it came from a place of love but he didn't know how to properly channel it and he fell cause of it.
Darth Vader and Palpatine are gonna be a big part in this show. I know Darth Vader does the emperor’s dirty work, but I want to see Sidious do some sinister stuff. They need to show why Vader stays in his place because of his fear of his new master.
Anakin was like my idealistic badass persona when I was a lil kid around 8 lmao, and that's because Hayden played him so well, HE'S the Anakin, no one can do a better job than him
I hope we get a moment similar to the one in rebels where Ashoka slashes Vader’s mask open and for a second anakin returns just to return back to hatred and becomes Vader once more
I would love to see the torture that Darth Vader has to go through on a regular basis.. introducing Vader to the show in the middle of one of his scrubbing sessions, trying to scream in vain due to burnt vocal cords.. the torture that Vader goes through and the pain that he Carries with him at every moment of every day would be a great detail to share during the show
@@paladinheadquarters7776 technically his vocal cords are burnt and he talks in a whisper.. hence the reason he uses the vocal projector to speak in his James earl jones voice
I think in this series, they will treat Vader like they treated the Emperor in the originals (with the Inquisitor being like Vader from the originals.) We will not see an in person Vader until the climactic last act. (Like the Emperor in Ep. VI). We will get a hologram of Vader in the middle of the series (like the Emperor in Ep. V). I wouldn't be surprised if they pay homage to the Ep. V hologram scene with having The Inquisitor kneeling to a large hologram of Vader. The Inquisitor will be the more visible enforcer/hunter. (Like Vader in the originals.) While in the new series, Vader is a mysterious power that is only spoken of. (Like the Emperor in the Originals.) Remember, Lucas said it all rhymes. And I also bet they begin the series with The Inquisitor boarding a vessel like Vader did in Ep. IV. Guys, I think we will finally see a true synthesis of the Originals and the Prequels in the Obiwan series! They are using Duel Of The Fates as the theme!! I LOVE IT!!!!
Theory time: In a new hope, Vader says to Kenobi - "when I left you I was but the learner now I am the master". This may indicate that in the rematch, it will end with Vader leaving? In Revenge of the sith, Vader/anakin was unable to leave Kenobi as he was limbless and burning. Vader will no doubt take time to learn how to master his new mechanical self which may not happen fully until the time of a new hope (or at least to the extent that he could beat Kenobi).
I know this is blasphemous, but I hope they recast the voice for Darth Vader. JEJ is iconic, and no one can truly replicate his voice. But even by Rogue One, he sounded quite old. A bit jarring for that voice to supposedly be from before A New Hope. It's time for a recast, or some kind of vocal synthesis like they did for Luke
Man, i agree with your take on Hayden completely. Consider, too, that he was brimming with emotion and the Jedi rebuked emotion. His "stifled" acting was his character's subdual of his own emotion. Look at his work on "Higher Ground" and "Life as a House" to see how well he does emotion.
If we get Hayden without Vaders mask and we see him with the make up & scars. Do you think they’ll re-edit Ep6 and put Hayden’s face when Luke takes off Vader mask
“Hey guys how’s it going, I can’t wait to go on another Clone Wars death trip!” was Matt Lanter’s Anakin😂 I really do hope we get either a whole episode or 2 or 3 flashbacks with unseen Clone Wars battles with Ewan and Hayden, hell they could easily fit Rosario in there as well, and even though it’s a long shot I would love to see Tem Morrison play Rex, unless we get that I won’t say it’s a prequel fans dream, but either way it’s still pretty sweet.
I really do hope We get one episode that involves Crimson Dawn and (Darth) Maul's operations within The Underwold. He may also be looking for Kenobi, too.
Darth Vader, my all time favorite character, probably one of the most iconic characters in all of history. Vader had an intellectual aspect to him. Anakin just didn't have those same kind of lines, he never said anything intelligent and that's probably the only thing I think was missing from Haden Christiansen's version of Vader. But I didn't hate on it, I still really liked the prequels regardless.
Hayden was the perfect Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader from the way he looks with the long hair all the way to the way he talks and his emotions portrayed in the film portray Darth Vader in Anakin Skywalker to a T I couldn’t agree more that Hayden Christiansen is the perfect Anakin Skywalker
This is so great to have Hayden back in Star Wars. It feels surreal.

To me, that basically says he's going to have an overbearing presence throughout the entire show - even when he's not physically on screen...and I have no doubt we're going to see plenty of him on screen, too.
Add the fact that Deborah Chow directed my two fave mando s1 episodes and I, at least, am feeling quite confident about this one.
Sooo good to hear from Hayden again. & This show feels like a dream, I can’t wait for the 25th
Peace!
I loved your Hayden voice!!! Spot on man!!! I am so pumped for this series, so excited to see Hayden and Ewan back as these iconic characters!!!
This is awesome! Hayden is just fantastic. The Vader image is a perfect addition to yesterday's trailer!
I swear this guy looks more and more like a Monk/Jedi every video I love it
Can't wait to see Hayden as Anakin/Vader again man. I know you are as well, Theory! So exciting!! I've been looking forward to this!
I always loved Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, I honestly don't get the hate he got, I thought he did an excellent job. It really sucks that he wasn't in TROS which was a huge wasted opportunity. I can't wait for his return in the Kenobi show.
How was he doing an excellent job? He was an average to bad actor.
I share the exact same thoughts as u here. I really don't agree with any of the hate he received and was so disappointed when he wasn't in TRoS because it was such a disgraceful movie and some recognition of the fact that Darth Vader actually had a role in Star Wars would have been nice
I thought he did well as Anakin too.
Leaving Anakin out is one of the main things that made the sequels such failures in storytelling.
@@Himmiefan "it's all about Anakin"
you always articulate the emotion of characters so well. the pain that Vader lives with is something that has been an understanding in movies and not as much deliberately expressed. if there is a way for them to maintain the menacing figure that is Vader while also showing us the pain that lives underneath the mask, it would bring so much more to the Arc that you see on screen between movies and shows. Anakin is such a special character, and i am so excited to see Hayden get another chance to rekindle the fire with Ewan. as always, keeping the hype in check, but it feels like we all already know this is going to be an emotional roller coaster
I think Christesen played Skywalker really good tbh. I don't think anyone else could play him better than he did
I think what we all really want is a Vader show, Vader training the inquisitors and hunting Jedi.
read the comics, honestly i think novelization is the perfect media for Vader, a TV show sounds like too much of a good thing tbh, and i feel like the writers will find some way to ruin it.
so hopefully his presence is used well in this show.
Well, the movies are all about him and he have a entire comic series too
I'm very glad to see them both back, but I am wondering if James Earl Jones will return as the iconic voice of Vader?
Same!! He better cause it won’t be Vader without him
he likely will - and with Vader in a suit - what value does Hayden add??
@@stephen9609 my exact thoughts
@@stephen9609 Vader without his helmet, with a mix of Hayden and James Earl Jones' voices like in rebels when Ashoka sliced half of his helmet

Your Hayden impression is spot on! Very nice :D
I still can't get over how good your Anakin Impression is
They managed to capture the fear of Darth Vader in this photo. Just the silhouette of him looks reminiscent to him in Empire on Bespin.
The Hayden Christensen voice is ON POINT😂😂😂
Hoping Haydon gets a lot of appreciation from this. Dude played my childhood hero and I want him to feel that appreciation from all the kids (and adults) that enjoyed him as anakin/vader
Thank you for all that you do theory, look forward to nerd theory every week and love the breakdowns, from one Canadian to another, may the force be with you
Thank you for your passionate breakdowns. I’ve been a Star Wars fan since the early nineties, and I can say this is truly a golden era of the fandom. Thank you for your hard work, thank you for lending your talents to the comic breakdowns and dramatizations. You deserve a medal. But, like Chewbacca, it’ll probably take thirty years to come.
As someone born in 78 i had a childhood filled with the thrills of the OG trilogy, growing up past that i was engrossed in the old eu and following that i loved the prequels when seeing them and forever after. Yes the OG trilogy will always have a special place above all to me, however i have always thought Hayden did a fantastic job as Anakin and i never realy understood the hate the prequels got.
you're so good to do hayden's voice dude!!
Totally agree Theory! Hayden played Anakin exactly how he should! I hope we get a little more Vader than what we had in Rogue One!
Ayyy my boy what’s up?!
Vader will show up at the end of episode 3 then be the main antagonist for the remainder. The inquisitors are the main antagonist for the first 3
Ayyyy so happy that you brought the cutouts again hope your doing well and also that’s amazing
Bro I love your Anakin impression so much! 10/10😂😂😂
Love your passion, Theory. Your excitement for Star Wars has reinvigorated my interest
At least we had no Vespas in the trailer or straight up woke warriors 😂
P.S: If I’m correct I think she’s like the only black person in the trailer? So I wouldn’t worry about them trying to go for diversity all the time, I see where you’re coming from but I think Disney might take a back seat for this show which would be nice
@@NorthAmericanEditing My point is shes a double minority who has more screentime in the trailer than Obi-Wan... I hope I'm wrong, but shes the main character by this glance. If shes well written then I wont mind, but if shes "I'm the main character because I'm a woman!" Then I'm gonna be pissed. We dont need another fucking Rey.
@@arkangelgaming35 If anyone is considered the main character aside from Obi Wan and Vader I think all of us are gonna riot
@@arkangelgaming35 It was in all fairness just a teaser trailer, so It makes sense that they don´t want to show too much of the main stuff. However, I share your concern.
I love your channel but what I loved even more was your Hayden impression like wtf that was so good!
Hayden got so much hate in the prequels, but he turned out to be a star regardless.
Not sure if you've ever done it in the past, but this is the first time I've ever seen you do a Hayden Anakin impression and man...that was frighteningly good. You could pass as an Anakin VA easily.
So excited for this series. I can hardly believe they're actually back.
We need a show dedicated to Lord Vader
@@scottf5791 could you imagine a Quentin Tarantino Vader movie oh man
Keep up the great work. Man Long I have waited for you to at least another video you’re my favorite Star Wars content creator and a huge inspiration for my channel I’m super excited for Hayden
I’d like to see a 15minute part where Vader is meditating or dreaming about the events after the battle of heroes ,his feelings on how everything turned out ,shock, horror, shame, betrayal, fear, anger, hate, suuuffering
Yo Theory been cheesing from cheek to cheek these last couple days lol
When its sunday night and your parents remind you you have school tomorrow: 3:30
Love your videos keep up the good work!
You are my favorite Star Wars Content Creator. You are Definitely my primary source for theories and new information!
Most of Dave filoni projects are good. You may not like boba fett but it is not bad.
If they somehow fuck this up, I won't watch any further series and movies
wdym downs?
@@fletch7645 sequels, boba fett i guess
@@ivocuric3082 oh yea, i keep forgetting abt the sequels, since the quality is so wildly different from the disney plus series
The voices were spot on! And I agree, i'd love to see him still losing some of his Anakin-ness and not be "full Vader" yet, as heartbreaking as it is.
If we truly only get a few glimpses of Vader in the Kenobi show then we definitely need a stand-alone Vader show or movie. I’d be down for a Vader show where you’d see him going on all sorts of different missions and incorporate comic stuff in it
Vader- Be careful not to joke on your aspirations.
Me- Nah Obi wan looks great
I love that you brought back the old outro!!
Your Hayden impression gives me life 🤣
That Hayden impression is on point.
I feel like in order to understand Vader, people need stop calling him VADER and call him ANAKIN. Calling him Vader is what's keeping people from remembering and realizing "this is Anakin Skywalker committing these atrocities, it's Anakin who fought against his apprentice then master, it's Anakin who sliced his son's hand off and tortured his own daughter."
I think people just keep calling Anakin Vader is well that is his Sith name, but it helps separate one from the other; the hero from the villain.
Your Hayden impression is spot on!!! 😂😂
Me during the sequel trilogy "this is outrageous its unfair!"
Kenobi series with Ewan and Hayden back "this is amazing its fair!"
Love your vids man! Been following you for years and content just keeps getting better ♥️ stay awesome 😎
Darth Vader and Palpatine are gonna be a big part in this show.
I know Darth Vader does the emperor’s dirty work, but I want to see Sidious do some sinister stuff. They need to show why Vader stays in his place because of his fear of his new master.
Anakin was like my idealistic badass persona when I was a lil kid around 8 lmao, and that's because Hayden played him so well, HE'S the Anakin, no one can do a better job than him
I agree with you about Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin.
I really love it when Theory does the voices!!
I hope we get a moment similar to the one in rebels where Ashoka slashes Vader’s mask open and for a second anakin returns just to return back to hatred and becomes Vader once more
I doubt kenobi could pull him back at all any more being such a big source of his hatred
6:56 The way you said “Now you will die” was so funny. Made me think of when Palpatine said “..and then you will die.” In The Force Unleashed.
Star Wars theory makes me want to ditch history for star wars content!
The Hayden voice impression is perfect 😂

I would love to see the torture that Darth Vader has to go through on a regular basis.. introducing Vader to the show in the middle of one of his scrubbing sessions, trying to scream in vain due to burnt vocal cords.. the torture that Vader goes through and the pain that he Carries with him at every moment of every day would be a great detail to share during the show
Burnt vocal cords? How could he speak to Luke in episode 6 then?
@@paladinheadquarters7776 technically his vocal cords are burnt and he talks in a whisper.. hence the reason he uses the vocal projector to speak in his James earl jones voice
Theory, you are so good with impersonating Hayden. Probably a Canadian thing
Your Anakin impression is impressive. 🤣😂🤣😂
“I can’t wait to go on another Clone Wars death trip” - bro you had me laughing out loud there! 😂😂😂
I think in this series, they will treat Vader like they treated the Emperor in the originals (with the Inquisitor being like Vader from the originals.)
We will not see an in person Vader until the climactic last act.
(Like Vader in the originals.)
While in the new series, Vader is a mysterious power that is only spoken of. (Like the Emperor in the Originals.)
Remember, Lucas said it all rhymes.
So serious question here, will we get to hear the return of James Earl Jones voicing Darth Vader or will Hayden be the voice this time around?
You did the voice really well....well done
If we get Hayden without Vaders mask and we see him with the make up & scars. Do you think they’ll re-edit Ep6 and put Hayden’s face when Luke takes off Vader mask
No because he’s older
No there’s no point of doing that and that’s stupid. Return of the Jedi takes place like 15 years after the Obi-Wan show.
I think clone wars Anakin was like beacuse it was a cartoon. Characters stress their emotions more when acting.
Ray park just released the Kenobi trailer, could this mean what I want it to? Or is he just playing us ?
Nobody wants to see Maul again. Chill out and enjoy Vader and new villains
I really do hope We get one episode that involves Crimson Dawn and (Darth) Maul's operations within The Underwold. He may also be looking for Kenobi, too.
holy crap! your Anakin voice is top shelf! nicely done!
Vader is the best villain of all time. Anakin who?
Hayden was the perfect Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader from the way he looks with the long hair all the way to the way he talks and his emotions portrayed in the film portray Darth Vader in Anakin Skywalker to a T I couldn’t agree more that Hayden Christiansen is the perfect Anakin Skywalker
