I love how proud they are of their achievement. And rightfully so. This is just a simple trailer, but its nothing beats something that suits your own needs and that you made yourself! Simplicity is key to enjoying your life on your own terms. When I was your age, i bought my first little apartment from money i had saved up. The place was tiny and for the first years, most of the furniture was, shall we say 'improvised', self built, salvaged from attics and basements. Did i mind? No. Was I happy and proud? You bet!
The bed sheet covering is really clever. Several trailer companies in the 1930s did a similar thing, too. They would glue canvas to the roof, mainly, and then brush a heavy, soaking coat of paint on as waterproofing. It worked really well as I'm sure it does on yours. It's a nice little trailer with a charming interior, and I'm glad I got to see it.

Awesome results ... great work! As a retiree, I am in the process of collecting the materials to build myself something quite similar. It's just me and my dog, so we won't need much space. I love the kitchen (and the pass-through snack door!). My van will carry equipment and house the solar array, but sleeping in the camper/Tiny Home is in the plan. Awesome Build. Nice. And I hate to criticize but I was interested in buying one of these trailer frames to build my camper and found out the wheel and axle specifications would not allow it to be driven over 45 mph. So due to that issue I never did build one because I didn’t want to spend $1500 for the correct trailer and axles with wheels that were freeway sturdy. No of course people are buying these and put them on the road and going 70 miles an hour down the road With an axle and wheels that are rated for highway at 45 no Freeway. That just scares the shit out of me. I’m sure it may work but oh my god what happens when it finally doesn’t !!! All in all I’m proud of young people testing their skill levels and reaching out to get things done. Even out of their comfort zone. You guys Rock! Great project and great work. Best story Ive heard lately, as well.

Most important part of the trailer, and by far the most key thing for a happy wife... THE SNACK HOLE. LOLOL. She got so excited about it. Awesome.
Awesome Build. Nice. And I hate to criticize but I was interested in buying one of these trailer frames to build my camper and found out the wheel and axle specifications would not allow it to be driven over 45 mph. So due to that issue I never did build one because I didn’t want to spend $1500 for the correct trailer and axles with wheels that were freeway sturdy. No of course people are buying these and put them on the road and going 70 miles an hour down the road With an axle and wheels that are rated for highway at 45 no Freeway. That just scares the shit out of me. I’m sure it may work but oh my god what happens when it finally doesn’t !!! All in all I’m proud of young people testing their skill levels and reaching out to get things done. Even out of their comfort zone. You guys Rock! Great project and great work. Best story Ive heard lately, as well.
Wow. What a pair of wonderful people. This is almost exactly what I would like to build but only make it slide in a box trailer. Terrific use of space..technique..reusing windows ..and that kitchen area is so simple but effective. Thank you for a wonderful presentation and best wishes for your journey together
