Beth Goodfellow, yes please. Her playing and groove are infectious. She compliments Madison’s finger style perfectly. Madison is also one of the most under rated guitar players too. Remember that’s she’s singing all these tricky melodies over her crazy finger style, simultaneously.

The 3 of them are great, but especially the drummer. One doesn't get that good without many hours of dedicated practice and attention. Crisp, subtle, musical, masterful.
What sets this apart from so much other stuff coming out is the solid musicianship and songwriting. This isn't the ten millionth person strumming open chords and singing all over the place. Here we've got it all -- well-constructed melodies; real chord changes; and players who have the skill to play anything, and the sense to know exactly what's enough. Everyone is serving the tune.
Real expressive, stand-out Drummer !!! Sutble, precise and swishy, greasy, down in the groove playing. Keep listening and you'll hear otherworldly drumming. Kudo's. A wonderful inspiration!

She sure is! I don't know how she was brought up (on guitar). Self taught, I use chord inversions as the norm and until I read this comment didn't really thing anything of them. I am guessing for those who learn a traditional path, chord inversion may not be used as often.

Just now during Hurricane Ian discovered these three-better than finding a million bucks in the street. All the comments rightfully laud the band, but here’s a nod to Paste: without your program I may have (god forbid) missed this fresh, luminous music.
What a stunning talent - the music is just so tasteful, authentic, heart music - so non-commercially aimed and unpretentious. She's that rare bird that deserves a fan base and success - because she / they are just that good!

I love technically amazing guitar players. Madison is a great guitar player, but not in the Polyphia way. However, she's doing so much more interesting work with her guitar, which is in service of melody and harmony. Plus she sings like Joni but is not anywhere close to being an imitation. She's brilliant. If I was one of these billionaire types I would not hire some superstar for a huge gig. I would ask MC to play at a small club. I'd pay her a huge fee too. She's a great story teller and her voice and music is amazing. MC and Julian Lange are why music will trump the corporations.
I hear Ali Farka Toure on that second one. And the voice is similar to Ingrid Michaelson. Delicious. Lyric writing and changes more like Cockburn and Mitchell. Good taste up the wazoo here.
