thank you so much!!! what i only did is i joined the gmeet server in incognito and left the call and rejoined the meet with the chrome server and it worked surprisingly. thank you once again!

I have a problem where I can see what is being presented on the google meet for my laptop, but then there's no audio being projected whenever someone is speaking. I've checked my speaker to see if the speaker is the problem, but I can hear youtube videos just fine. Please help me :(

I have to be honest, you will have to google your way to find a solution and try out many things.
This sort of problem could be caused by anything from a security setting to a browser plugin that is hindering Google Meet from outputting sound.

Hi, When I use google meet on my windows 10 PC, I can hear others on the meet for short intervals (the 3 lines keep moving) [for say, 5 seconds] and then for the next few seconds [ 3-4 seconds], I can't hear them (the 3 lines become dots). Their audio is completely audible when I join a meet on my mobile device, the issue seems to come up only on my PC. I don't believe it is an issue with my speakers because other website and apps have audio that works fine. I have also tried signing into meet using different Google accounts and the issue occurs for all google accounts on my PC. I have also tried using a different browser but the problem persists. I have run the audio test in google meet on my speakers and it works fine.
This is an issue that has come out of nowhere since yesterday, I have had no such issue before.

@@nayeemrafsan356 Try changing over to a different network. This issue occurs only when I use the WiFi in my dorm, when I switch over to my phone's mobile hotspot or another network it's fine.
Still a little strange though since my dorm WiFi is pretty fast, it can stream HD video without buffering, you'd expect it to handle voice calls seamlessly. Also the issue isn't exclusive to Google meet, it happens on discord, Google Duo and Microsoft Teams calls too.
@@tanveerashiq3774 very weird! but why does it resolves after changing the wifi? is it because you rejoin the meet after the network switches? Everytime I reload the meet page the problem disappears for a while. Also I only face this in meet not in any other platform like zoom, discord.

That is currently the way sharing from mobile works. The audio tracks of videos aren't shared with the participants.
At the moment there is no way you can change this.

I am having the same problem. I don't have any extensions on. When my teacher or classmates talk I can see the unmute mic but the icon which indicates the speaker is freezed. I have to try 6-7 times to be able to listen. But if I login from my phone it's fine. In my laptop it creates these problems please help

Hi Anika. Not even if I were a Google Engineer could I answer this question. 😒
But from a general point of view there are so many things that can cause this. We expect software to run an every single computer perfectly. But there are so many different browser versions, configurations, computers, operating system, etc.
So things like this can, sadly, happen.
I was sharing my screen and played a video in VLC player but the participant who not able to hearsound from the video. Will you please come up with a solution.
If you want the Google Meet participants to hear the sound you have to share "A tab" and make sure that video is running in that tab.
If on the other hand you want to share a video that is neither on TH-cam nor on your Google Drive, there is no way of having the participants hear the sound.

Having issues with Meet I can't get my video or mic to work. I see and hear others.. The Video mute slash cannot be removed. The mic mute seems to unmute but it doesn't. others cannot hear me and my only option is to talk within the chat area. I also noticed something very weird... I went to ask the community inside meets troubleshooter. When I try to write my concerns, I can only type 1 letter at a time... This is the only area I've seen this also. Not sure how to update or delete Google meets from my system... I checked all my system's settings. It works fine in ZOOM and other webinar apps. I am using a Windows 10 laptop
That is really a strange issue I haven't heard of. Maybe try using Google Meet with a different browser. Usually, Google Chrome works best with Meet.
Whenever my teacher sends a link to another google meet in the chat I cannot hear others, and then I have to go on my dads laptop please find out about this.
Try out a different browser or a browser in incognito mode.

This is a type of error that can have many different causes. So it's impossible to say what could solve the problem for you.
Keep on trying different things:
- De-install any Chrome extensions/plug-ins
- Update your Chrome browser
- Clear your Chrome cache

Sometimes simply leaving a call and rejoining can help.
In certain cases you might even need to restart your device/computer.

There isn't one size fits all. I had the situation where a microphone wasn't working on Google Meet in the desktop app either.
I had to leave the call, close the app and rejoin.

Are you using a Bluetooth device (like Airpods)? If so, try it out without the Bluetooth device. Apparently there are some issues with such devices. More info here: th-cam.com/video/x4JFs-ENYns/w-d-xo.html

I think I have a problem on my Google Chrome. I was on the meeting and was about to open my mic but the presentor can't hear me. I double checked all of my Audios but my mic doesn't work. Make sure that Google Chrome is allowed to access your mic. I demonstrate how to do so in the video.

I use firefox(debian/linux) even all the permissions were granted in browser and also my speakers were turned on in my system settings.When i was play any media files in my local disk it works just fine but in my google meet the presentators audio was not audible and video also not visible in addition to that also presentation also not shared it simply go inside do nothing only chat is enabled.
What happens when you use Google Chrome for the Meet call?

I'm not quite sure what "wind up" means but if you have trouble using Google Meet through Chrome, use a different browser.
@@saperis automattically discard from meet and i also tried by vivaldi,konquerer browsers the same problem arise in firefox only it was stable but it did'nt communicate responsively as i mentioned in my first comment

My problem is that whenever I am Attending online with my g suit id classes I can't hear anybody but I can see there microphone wave but it was not waving,And whenever I am attending any coaching classes with my personal email id I can hear and speak anything,So the problem is only occuring whenever I am going to attend my classes through gsuit id. Are you using the same Google Chrome profile when logging into Google Meet with the different Google Accounts? If so, try logging in with your G Suite account in your private Google Chrome profile.

This sounds very much like either one of the other students or your teacher is muting your microphone.

writing in down so maybe itll help someone. after thoroughly searching through everything I found out that even though my browser told me I had my microphone turned on my computer system had it turned off which for some reason resulted in my not being able to hear my classmates talk

I'm guessing you're not using a computer. The video and my tips only work in a browser. If you're using the tablet or smartphone Google Meet app you won't be able to follow along with the instructions in the video.
I really don't know what to do,it says the speakers are working but they are not,Even in system preferences audio it says its not muted so its fine.I can hear this video fine but not my google meet

If you're the only one then something is blocking the audio signal on your device. In that case try the tips in the video.

If you're on a Mac computer and Google Chrome is not in the Microphone tab then you have to add it.
