I leave the wax on at the end of the season. Keeps rust away and prevents the base drying out.
Good call on buckling the boots to store them. 🙌🏼

great tip! Thats interesting I was always taught that wax on the edges would lead to rust as it would trap in any moisture, but if leaving the wax on the edges works for you maybe I can take one less step and not remove wax from the edges!

@@wildrfitness Wax is hydrophobic, so it will not hold / attract water. It will save you time and save the edges.
Love your content on here. 👍🏻

Great tips and very timely for me. This season, with help from your videos and others, I was able to up my skills so I could ski where I wanted and how I wanted but not as long as wanted. I typically strain a calf in the spring when I start walking/running so I'll emphasize mobility work. Love your channel.

Great content as usual. I have been thinking about this a lot as I really want to commit myself to a great ski season next year. This year was supposed to be my year for skiing but life got in the way so I have my sight set on next season. In addition to a strength and cardio program, I have started to incorporate agility, balance (Bose ball) and mobility as well as starting some plyos - your content has been really helpful for all of this. I will be reviewing a lot of your tips over the summer to get ready for next fall and to be stronger overall. Thank you.

Looked lovely out there. Same issue with ankle mobility. It’s a slog getting any improvements but I’m always working on it. Would you say doing HIIT type workouts is more useful in season than off? I’ve never felt better late in the day skiing since doing them. I’m in my late 50’s so I’ve got to stay on top of things.

Hey Steve! After building a training base HIIT style workouts can be great just prior to the season starting AND during the season depending on how much you are skiing and what your skiing style is!
