I had to make a double pass with my fly cutter on a project recently and I found a pass down the centre to finish off, it seemed to blend the two passes quite nicely and I'm only using a little homemade mill. I cut an even bigger hole in a piece of 1" plate a while back to make a steady rest on a rotary table I built, it's tough going. Congrats on reaching 500 subs, I recently passed 3,000, the 1st 1,000 took a year as did the 2nd, but only 6 months for the next 1,000, it takes a while but you will get there. 👍
Loving the build series. I'm hoping to get a mill one day and figure out how to use it, so it's great to see you working things out too. Wish fulfilment on my part perhaps. Keep it up!
@@pinlap3875 G’day mate… thanks heaps. Yeah it’s good to just have a go. You don’t learn any other way. I’m enjoying the process… I’ve become a bit of an addict 😆 👍
Gday mate yeah wouldn't worry too much about doing dumb shit everyone does that I've made a fuck'n career out of it. Anyway that job is turning out really awesome it is definitely a credit to ya. Yeah Matty is on to it with that indicator setup on his boring head, that is on my build list also, his videos are always worth watching. Look forward to the next part of your build I don't remember ever seeing someone making a dividing head from scratch. Definitely impressive
@@D40.. 😆😆😆 Love it. Thanks again mate. Should be the next part uploaded tomorrow sometime. It was meant to be part of this one but felt guilty about it being so long as it was. The amount I had to chop out to get it to that took ages 😩 It’s a bloody time consuming process that’s for sure.

With all that cast iron you bought, have you thought about taking a piece build yourself a big bond fire 🔥 toss it in, get it red hot, pull coals and ashes over piece and let it cool slowly, might anneal it, just a thought from someone else hasn't had a clue about what should do 😂
