Waooo!!!....Thanks for another honest reaction of our Queen Lara Fabian, the best female singer and performer of the world....Like I am the first in leave a comment, I believe that you can give me a prize: Please react to another amazing italian song in the voice of our Queen Lara Fabian: Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version)....Thanks again!!
The writer of this song, Lucio Dalla (from Bologna, northern Italy), wrote this in 1986 while staying in one of the rooms where Enrico Caruso, former famous tenor (From Neaples, southern Italy), spent the final days of his life. Caruso was 48-years-old when he died, and a few years before Caruso died, he married Dorothy Park Benjamin who was 20 years younger. They had a baby girl they named Gloria. Lucio Dalla wrote this song while imagining how Caruso, who knew he was dying, would have said goodbye to his young wife - the love of his life. curiosity: in sicilian dialect the word caruso means (ragazzo)=boy.
A nice detail among many is how the audience bounces to their feet in order to give a standing ovation. Had I been there, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself. Nor did anyone who was present during this truly magical moment. If there's a soul in your body, if there's a pulse in your veins, you simply have to applaud her.
I think Lara was born ahead of her time cause I bet that if she sang like this now that we have internet and social media she would be a world phenomenon a million times bigger than she was. She has not only the voice, but the soul to sing this in such amazing way.
These performances are from a concert filmed in Montreal in 2000 that was recorded and televised on PBS in america. No competition. Besides, Lara has no competition, she's the best! The title of the show is, "From Lara With Love". She was 30 years old and I believe at the very height of her ability and beauty. Some others from this concert, Adagio, Broken Vow, Perdere l'amore. Unfortunately, due to Sony music and Celine Dion's people, Lara never broke through into the U.S. market. People are just now discovering her immeasurable talent here in the states. She should have been a megastar here, as she is in France, Belgium, Brazil, and across the globe.
Lara masters sharing her emotions with the listeners she is indeed amazing my favorite singer. happy to see she lives in Montreal Canada 30 minutes from here. wonderfull performer wow.
Lucio Dalla, the creator of this song, stayed in the Italian city of Sorrento, in the hotel "Excelsior Vittoria". Quite by accident, he was staying in the room where the famous Italian tenor Enrico Caruso used to be. The owners of the hotel told Lucio Dalla about the last days of Caruso's life, about his pain, love and longing for his wife and their daughter. That is how the inspiration for the song of the same name came about. It remains unclear whether Caruso addresses only his beloved wife in the song, or partly also his beloved daughter. The song is beautiful, written in the melodic and "most loving" language in the world. Lara's voice and emotional interpretation caress and tear the soul. Perfection! Thank you for reaction.
The way she backs off of that final note is extraordinary. Welcome to Lara's world, where you realize you could listen to her all day and not care that you don't speak the language. She is in a class of her own. This is a cover, of course, but she is an amazing songwriter and composer. Her melodies are incredible. Complex and intricate without ever being showy.
She's phenomenal. I think she is the perfect woman. She has a great personality and always stops and visits with waiting fans when she arrives at a venue.
This was the 1st one of Lara's I heard & was so blown away by it I began looking into more of her songs. I have heard male Opera singers perform Caruso but my favourite is definitely Lara's interpretation of this beautiful song. Love that you love Lara as much as we do. She also sings in multiple languages besides having this amazing ability to convey the emotion of what she is singing about.
Lara Sophie Katy Crokaert, better known as Lara Fabian, is a Canadian-Belgian singer, songwriter, musician, actress and producer. She has sold over 30 million records worldwide as of 2021 and is one of the best-selling Belgian artists of all time. Wikipedia. Her career began in 1986 I don't believe she was ever participating in any competition although I could be mistaken. You really should react to Ti Amo Cosi performed by Lara Fabian, Dimash and Aida Garifullina a few years back at a birthday jubilee for Igor Krutoy. She is another of Dimash's idols and has had a huge influence on him musically speaking.
Lara gives the same pleasure as to get massage. It's both physical and emotional. She is a gamechanger for sure. Her ability to express emotion is just outstanding. Thanks man! 👍
I found Lara while surfing TH-cam a few years ago ........ She is, for me anyway, the ultimate vocal artist - her voice is warm even when belting. her resonance is greater above all I have ever heard, she pronounces each and every letter of every word, she has the range of any out there, she never sounds flat or nasally ( my one complaint about the wonderfully talented Celine Dion ), but most of all Lara has the4 unique ability to invite her audience to travel WITH her along the emotional journey that a composer intended for any particular piece. The Lara Fabian experience came late in my life but no complaints here for to find such joy is never too late. She sings from her heart and my heart hears; she leads me along the emotional path and i follow willingly. Lara is a gift.
Well, what can I say? You're in trouble) Losing the power of speech and listening endlessly is a normal reaction to Lara) I congratulate you, you have got into a huge army of fans of her phenomenal talent) Every song of Lara is a work of art, react to any one, you will not make a mistake) Спасибо😍
I'm Italian and this wonderful song, written by Lucio Dalla, Lara sings it beautifully. The song is in Italian with some stanzas in Neapolitan. What a wonderful artist, Lara. Great reaction. I appreciate that you alternate different artists in your reactions, especially Lara and Dimash. Greetings from Spain
Someone may have told you already, but Lara was raised in Italy first, therefore her perfect Italian. She is also married to an Italian man. She then lived in Belgium and speaks perfect French, and also English. She now lives in Montreal, Canada, where I am from… you may want to listen to “Broken Vow”, amazing, it’s in English! Yes also “Je t’aime”, which is a great show of love from Lara’s friends to her, you will understand when you listen. It has to be the “Paris 2001” version.
Her father is belgian, her mother is italian from Sicily ; her mother went to Belgium to visit some family and she met Lara's father. Lara was born in Belgium, Bruxelles-Etterbeek ; until the age of 5 they lived in Italy, then they moved back to Belgium where Lara was educated for years to music, theather, art of singing. She lives between Belgium and Quebec, as she works a lot there
The incomparable Lara. Top Tier indeed! Her every performance a professional singers Master Class. No-one else so thoroughly inhabits the story of each song with every note, nuance of tone, breath & every gesture so micro intentional. I doubt the great Caruso himself would identify anyone who could sing this better than Lara. Stunningly beautiful voice. Is it any wonder that Dimash cites her as one of his most influential role models during his training and was later thrilled to perform with her.
Yup. I discovered her almost two years ago and am still left completely...befuddled and amazed by her. I've liked a lot of artists in my life, but Fabian is in a league of her own for me. Still trying to figure her out -and enjoying evert moment of it. Great reaction.
WOOO buena reaccion. Yo la puedo escuchar todos los dias y jamás me canso. Ella es impresionante. Podrías reaccionar a una cancion de ella que se llama The love is like a Dream. Es en Ruso.
She is wonderful. Her singing is emotional. The tone of her voice is so rich. You have found my favorite female singer. And of course you have found my favorite male singer in Dimash. You must have very good taste. Love the reaction.
Thanks for the record. I never heard a performance like this in a contest. Her voice peircing ears and heart, it's a lot of work and she's one of the best performer in the entire world to me
Something magical about Lara's voice, her vocal resonance is pure, flawless and natural, there is no higher or better level. We can only vibrate while listening to it. Thanks for this reaction, I suscribed to your YT channel
Please react to Lara’s “ Je T’aime(live concert)”. The fans show how much they love her. Please turn on the English subtitles and enjoy it. It’s really really amazing and stunning. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, J-Dub. She is absolutely enrapturing. You might not be aware; Lara Fabian has been performing for quite some time. Her career began in 1986 and really took hold about 10 years later, when she was recognized globally. I don't think her popularity has ever waned.
There is a performance done by Lara, Dimash, and an operatic soprano named Aida called Ti Amo Cosi which is wonderful! Please react to that one as well! Her voice is like butter! No wonder Dimash has always idolized her, huh?
I have seen the concert version and the fancam. The sound of course is better at the concert but the fancam is from a view of Lara's back and Dimash is so tender and touches her back and you can just tell how thrilled he is to be singing with her. I love that so much. I think there is 23 years difference in their ages now. He admires her so much
She worked with Igor Krutoy and Dimash idolized her vocal abilities. Listen to Dimash song. Your Love. Composed by Igor and Lara Fabian lyrics. Fabulous. .
As far as I know she's never been in any competition, except for the one Celine Dion imagine in her head. This song and the other one "Jes suis malade" are from a concert that she gave a while back called, "from Lara, with love."
Il y a aussi : Broken wow qui est une de ses chansons, une merveille, Adagio, You re not from here, un duo avec Johnny Hallyday : Requiem pour un fou, Je t aime, Yentl, merci d avance.
Great reaction to Ms. Fabian-most of all I like your one phrase describing her singing and her voice--- so clean- so pure "almost like a hint of anguish" Start writing a book- you can do it!!!!
I had the privilege of hearing Pavarotti sing this live in Cape Town at a gorgeous outdoor venue in the Winelands of Stellenbosch and this melody makes my heart break ache when I listen to it. Lara sings it beautifully. ☮❤️ Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa
that's a faithful translation in the subtitles notably the part about "it's a chain now that heats the blood inside the veins" ( vs mixes/dissolves the blood ) and it's a story about the story: " A few years before he died, Caruso met and wed a woman 20 years his junior, Dorothy Park Benjamin, whom Lucio Dalla describes in this song "Caruso". so Lucio Dalla is depicting them by the sea of Soriento and the bond with Dorothy sets Caruso's blood on fire.
J-Dub, I didn't know of her until Dimash's Mom said when he was little, he used to carry her tapes around with him, and even when they put him to bed he had to keep them near and even cried when they first tried to take them away, so he wouldn't roll on them in his sleep. They finally gave in when they realized how important they were to him. He absolutely adored her. Can you imagine the awe he must have experienced when he was honored to sing with her at Igor's birthday celebration?
First time watching you. Great job. Loved your reaction. Lara is Master Class. Completely captivating. Check out her live versions of Adagio and You´re Not From Here.
She sings beautifully and full of feeling. "Broken vow" is so beautiful too! And also "Je táime" live from Paris: th-cam.com/video/IYnFwUbC9A8/w-d-xo.html . She had a hard time business and private and her fans knew that and they sang for her to show their love. Greetings from the Netherlands
Something that I think is incredible that I hope you don't miss is a duet between Lara and Johnny Hallyday. Requiem Pour un Fou. It's an outdoor concert during a storm and it seems to have energizedboth of them truly incredible
Awestruck, yep that was my reaction too. You have a fun musical journey ahead. "Requiem Pour Un Fou" for something a little different from her it's a stunning duet with the late great Johnny Holiday.(RIP)
Broken Vow, Adagio and You’re not From Here (all in English) from this same concert are all out of this world performances!!!! Je t’aime from her 2001 concert in Paris is something completely different.. a gift from her fans to her while she was going through an incredibly hard time in her life (her musical director/pianist was in on it as well)... it’s a performance that is simply a must see to believe it. I love both your reactions to Lara so far!!! I’m so glad you discovered her and we get to come along for the ride!! Can’t wait until the next one!!
Please react to Broken Vows and also Adagio. Both song are written by Lara and are in English. She has an amazing talent. Love your reactions , you can not hear her singing without feeling it.
Hi, thanks for this video, just love the way u analyse her voice. Please can u just hear the song she wrote it's called Adagio, & another one she also wrote called Broken Vow. i'm very intersted to hear ur analysis & how ur going to react. Thank u very much.
Thank you for the great reaction. I agree with everything you said about Lara, she’s incredible. Next i would suggest, from the same concert: „You’re not from here“th-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/w-d-xo.html and „Broken Vow“ th-cam.com/video/kJBGCI8aSE4/w-d-xo.html
This is a show and not a competition. It was filmed by public tv, so not much IP problems for reactors. The rest of the show is just as good. So keep it up!
She is one of Dimash's idols. There is actually a song Mademoiselle Hyde that is sung by her and he also made his version with Igor. Worthy to watch both.
Great reaction ! Lara is amazing ! I will recommend you Lara and Johnny Holiday ( live in Paris ) and Lara Fabian , Dimash and Aida Garifulina " Te amo cozy " . With love from Bulgaria ❤
My favorite female singer ever. So glad I found her through Dimash. Do listen to Ti Amo Cosi (Lara, Dimash, and Aida Garifullina), and Dimash and Lara duo of “Know.”

Lara Fabian is one of the interpreters that Dimash admires and here we see why !!!

You should listen to her Adagio song.
This is why Dimash idolized her, and covers her songs
Посмотрите ‘Ti amo cosi” Lara Fabian Dimash Aida Garifullina!!!
Please react to Broken Vows and also Adagio. Both song are written by Lara and are in English. She has an amazing talent. Love your reactions , you can not hear her singing without feeling it.
Very honest reaction !
Next i would suggest, from the same concert: „You’re not from here“th-cam.com/video/Vv8XFXKXRLI/w-d-xo.html
and „Broken Vow“ th-cam.com/video/kJBGCI8aSE4/w-d-xo.html
@Fedor Ivanov Of course your right Fedor, and let‘s be honest, we could suggest the whole concert😉.
@Fedor Ivanov Yes me too😂. Have you ever seen her live?
@Fedor Ivanov Oh that must have been very disappointing for you. What a shame. I hope you can see her live in concert some time soon.
This is a show and not a competition. It was filmed by public tv, so not much IP problems for reactors. The rest of the show is just as good. So keep it up!
Oh,Thank you from Italy! This is italian song. Please react to Lara ' Perdere L' amore ' , another italian song.
Lara is fantastic , this is the best rendition of Caruso ever, please check Lara and Dimash singing together ( Ti Amo Cosí)
She is one of Dimash's idols. There is actually a song Mademoiselle Hyde that is sung by her and he also made his version with Igor. Worthy to watch both.
She is belgian born from a french father and an italian mom..
I subscribed because you seem to love lara
Thank you for sharing ! Great reaction ! Hugs from France 😉👍😉
As the late, great Jeff Buckley once said, when it comes to music, he wants to be dashed against the rocks. Lara Fabian dashes you against the rocks.
This, the original
