Definitely gold and green. Looked yellowish gold in the one scene but in the still shot it looked orangish gold. Its gold but looks yellow or orange depending on the lighting.
All Might because that's the properties of the metallic gold coloring. Actual gold looks orange in the shadow and yellow in the light. To be fair brass, bronze, and copper have similar properties.
He was stabbed with Atlantean Steel, Manta says is right after stabbing him. (Also, the show Danielle was referring to was The Game, where it famously gave us his popping his foldable chair GIF)

@@PanAndScanBuddy Gold is metallic yellow, my guy. Bronze would be closer to metallic orange. In regards to the "inconsistent" invulnerable skin. It's not inconsistent or invulnerable, it's just resistant. There's nothing to suggest that the knife itself is too weak to pierce his skin so the explanation is simple. A normal human doesn't have the strength to pierce it. The Black Manta suit clearly increases strength since he's tossing Aquaman around. More strength = able to pierce it, just like if you casually poke someone with a piece of rebar they're not going to be pierced but if they fall onto the end of a piece of rebar they will.

Three movies would have been a hassle. This movie was a search for a McGuffin that lead to a fight with the big bad guy at the end. Yes, they throw in some extras here and there, but the main scenario was pretty straightforward. Not enough to stretch the story.

Did you guys forget about Jason's main role in "Stargate: Atlantis"? That's where I remember him the most. Also, the suits top is a mix of yellow and orange to make a gold appearance. As for the human physical designs of the Atlantiens, including hair/beards, I never understood that idea from the comics. If they reside underwater nearly 100% of the time, their bodies would be very streamline, like a dolphin, for rapid movement through the water and they definitely wouldn't have hair of any kind since that creates drag, and isn't needed. Their hands and feet would be webbed as well.
Aquaman reminded me more of Ant-Man and The Wasp than Black Panther. Both had mothers that were lost in some unexplored place and thought dead. Both somehow miraculously survived for decades and was found and rescued.

toddhollen I don’t know about “ripping off,” necessarily. Or “better,” for that matter. Star Wars: A New Hope did that and that movie started the most lucrative franchise in history and an actual new religion. But I digress. To refer back to the Black Panther comparison, Black Panther didn’t invent the story of two relatives fighting for the throne. Not to mention Aquaman and Black Panther are much different viewing experiences in terms of tone. Both of them have over the top villains, but in my opinion, Killmonger and Klaue weren’t intimidating enough to fit in with the movie’s attempted serious tone. Ocean Master, on the other hand, seemed to have the appetite of Viggo Mortensen in Green Book what with all the scenery he chewed. You all seem to be having so much fun with this one that it's making me want to give this movie a second chance! I actually fell asleep about 2/3 into it in the theater (while a late showing it was the monotonous nature of turning the CGI action to 11 throughout that got me.) Having a Deuteranamoly colorblindness, I gave up a long time ago describing things by color. It looks gold/yellow to me
6:32 pretty sure that is from a CN riff on Super Friends, not from an actual SF cartoon
8:55 - "I don't know oceans" lmao... most underrated 'joke' of the video lol her delivery was just on friggin' point n just made it sound really funny haha
Movie = Gold
Comic = orange
3:22 I still don't know why when the giant shark bit the giant Crab, the crab exploded!
Aquaman's script has written way back in 2016-17, so there's no chance that they "borrowed" from black panther
They're just saying they're similar themes.
i loved danielle's rant about the bad wigs lol im so tired of seeing bad wigs in movies with multi-million dollar budjets
Think of all the good wigs you Don't notice because they are good wigs.
Gold in the movie - orange in comic book
I was expecting a starring "The Juggernaut, bitch!". That atlantean running through walls and stuff in persuit of Mera in Italy reminded me to much of that Juggernaut scene in X-Men 3.
It's gold in the movie, which leans more yellow, so Danielle was right, as was Mara. Sorry, Dan!
Literally lost it when they brought up Ikea Heights! So happy!!!
This seems to have been pointed out - but it was Atlantan steel in the knife. Manta tells us.
Oh !!! this panel !! this is gonna be a great show :D
I feel the kiss scene would have worked if epic voice guy kept saying, "and... interrupting explosion... any time now"
Dan, Mara clearly makes you very happy. And that makes me glad for you ^_^
You all seem to be having so much fun with this one that it's making me want to give this movie a second chance! I actually fell asleep about 2/3 into it in the theater (while a late showing it was the monotonous nature of turning the CGI action to 11 throughout that got me.) I didn't hate what parts of it that I saw, but it didn't grab me other than Mamoa being a fun guy. Felt meh in a way that Catpain Marvel also did, but maybe another shot is what is needed.
James Wan's trench monster movie is Aquaman versus Cthulu. Calling it now.
In the movie, it IS YELLOW!
The suit is YELLOW
I'm not colorblind.
In the comic book it is orange, sometimes light orange. Bt here in the film for the most part it's more on the yellow/gold range than orange
In all these shots it looks yellow/gold
"The Seaburbs". I died
It's yellow. It's freaking yellow.
You cats are wrong, Danielle is right. Black Manta is given Atlantean steel to aid him in killing Aquaman.
