Could you please check your commentary volume? The piano sound is like 500% louder than your voice. I'm listening on decent studio monitors here and I have to change the volume of the video every few seconds 😕
Could you please make a video of the Viscount Legend 70s? I really like its vintage look (almost like a rhodes) but there are only a few videos of it on youtube
Not gonna lie I've been waiting for a video like this, because I am very close to buying one. I had to sell my OG Rhodes when I got divorced and have been desperate to find something capable of replicating that sound for ages. This seems pretty close.
I would'nt mind the Nord string sound, but I'm not going to buy a $2,000 keyboard just for that! I don't think the grand piano sound is that great, E.P is nice though IMO!
it is unbelievable! how a so-called digital piano at this price, can not have wooden keys. I wanted to upgrade, to no longer have plastic! but finding no mention of wooden keys anywhere, I discover That thing has plastic keys! 3000 euros and in plastic! they are serious there at Nord!
Nord is unfortunately selling stage pianos, not home pianos. They are meant for performers and their real value is in the possibilities they give them aswell as their amazing sounds.
I can understand that a rhodes has many downsides mentioned here, however, the value won't be the same 5 or 10 years down roads for rhodes and nords.rhodes's prices went to the roof now.
I think the tester overstates the problems that a real Fender Rhodes can cause. I've been playing mine for many years in the rehearsal room and on stage and it works perfectly! Also, the one note he mentions on his Rhodes probably only sounds bad when played hard because the pickup is too close to the Tine. The problem could have been solved in a minute.

You need to have your Rhodes upgraded. All you mentioned as negative can be solved, leaving it with a great sound ;)
Nice review, but i would have not setted the Nord „deep timbre“ additionally to the low eq preset, since this first sample is already so dull anyway.

Why do you mess the real good sounds with so much bass from the backing track? The real Rhodes / Nord have bass enough! I own both :)

The nord rhodes samples the rhodes with some external amp , you are using a natural rhodes sound so the comparaisant is not perfect
