Well done as always, Jake. Awesome background. It is great that they include a locking microphone jack like Sennheiser - they should all have that. I am looking forward to seeing the new DJI wireless system as well. Have a great day! Happy 2022!
I just got this about a week ago and can't wait to try it out. For the price it's amazing, my video will be out in the new year (Xmas slowed everything down for me)...and I just love the quality I get from Deity mics. Great video and breakdown as always Jake. :)
Seems good but I think I’m gonna go for the DJI ones this month as you get the pair the charging case and all the cables for any device just seems like the perfect all in one system apart from no locking on the lav mics
You might also like the Hollyland Lark 150. It sets up quite a bit faster. The screens are nicer. And it has a really slick charging case and it’s basically the same price. The biggest thing that was you can expand with another receiver. When you have four hour battery life that’s pretty much a must be able to swap that out.
*Cool I think take a Look at these, I've already got the Deity Lapel Mic BUT, it's good too see which works better for me as I already own the Rode Wireless Go, Go II as well.*
They sent me one too, and I like it…but if they only had 2 transmitters… I was just on Jeven’s channel trying to decide between the Rode Go II and the DJI
the coolest thing is now since rode released the wireless go we now have a ton of great options all using the same idea of really small portable wireless audio!
Thanks for the great review (and the beautiful visuals). You mentioned isolating your voice with this system. On that idea, I'm thinking about getting this and pairing it with my D4Duo. I'm hoping that I can capture the ambient sound and also isolate my voice (don't the D4Duo splits the left and right tracks). That way I could have some options in post. Just curious if you've tried that? Thanks again!
Hi Jake I followed you here from your review of the DJI Action 2 and really enjoyed it. Would the Deity Pocket Wireless system work with that camera setup?
Jake - any thoughts on how this compares to Sony's ECMW2BT Wireless Mic system? I have a few of the Sony shotguns that connect via the multi-interface port and I am a big fan of the direct digital feed.
Sony ecm series is much more of a professional system and will be much less prone to drop outs and interference. I’m a huge fan of the multi interface shoe as well.
What a great mic! That locking jack is awesome. So is the option to record directly to a laptop. 👍 10 steps of gain! Omg, Yes! 3 steps are just not ideal.
They really knocked it out of the national park with this one.
Or did then knock it into the National park? 😜. Happy new year Tom!!
Bro I don't even go out and you just sold me on this wireless mic system...well done!
Thanks Derek!!

Yeah the DJI wireless system looks really great
Great little overview as always! I do love the locking jack
Thanks Paul.

Thanks Jason! I agree for the price it’s a fantastic piece of equipment.

Great review! Just adding it to my field kit! Thanks Jake!
Thanks Mark! Happy New Year!!
Nice mix, love it
Thanks!
What Would be the best solution if I needed 3 wireless mics?
At that point you would need a small mixer as well and two or three wireless systems so it gets considerably more complicated

I have it! and it's a great system too!!
Very slick. Nicely done.
Thanks

Well I’d say if you have both of those already these would be redundant.
They sent me one too, and I like it…but if they only had 2 transmitters…
I was just on Jeven’s channel trying to decide between the Rode Go II and the DJI
I’m a big fan of the Lark 150 from Hollyland. Two receivers, charging case like the DJI. No internal recording though.
the coolest thing is now since rode released the wireless go we now have a ton of great options all using the same idea of really small portable wireless audio!
I have that and like it as well!
so is it UHF, or 2.4?
it's 2.4
What lapel mic are you using for this? Is it the one that comes with the system or a different one?
I’m using the countryman b3 in this video. The deity mic sounds good as well
@@JakeSloan Got it!
Do you find that the countryman makes a significant difference compared to the included one? Love your content and sound 💯
Shotgun Cove Trailhead? Stunning location…never been there, but looks awesome!!!
Yep! It’s an incredible place
Are you guys hearing bumps and static in the audio of this video?
There are because the lav mic was under my shirt. It’s not due to the wireless system
What kind of lapel are you using? The lavalier the deity comes with isn’t the best. Any recs on another one?
for this I was using a countryman B3
@@JakeSloan thanks for the response!

Yes that works! I’ve done it a few times and it definitely gives you some options in post.

I haven't tested that yet!
@@JakeSloan OK thanks Jake
New to recording audio. Should you aim your audio gain to reach for the line they have set up on deity wireless?
You typically want the average audio to be in the -12db region to give both headroom for louder parts but not be too quiet
Did Deity send this to you for review?
0:20 … I always try and make it clear when companies send me something
Apologies my bad, I jumped to the good stuff 🤔
No worries!

thanks and I agree!!!
If only we could take the best from this and the dji mic and combine them that would pretty much be the perfect system.
Agreed!!!
Canada’s first thumbs up, eh
Cheers Mark!!
Great mic , now if I could change my voice 👍
Lol. I have the same exact thought OFTEN! Happy New Year!
Australia's first thumbs up
Cheers!!
America's first thumbsup
