Brilliant! After 10 plus years of being a PT user, I just starting using Digital Performer 9.5. I struggled trying to get Addictive Drums to work with DP, so I fired up PT and followed your video and success,I have drums! I guess there’s a reason the DP isn’t on XLN’s compatible hosts list. Thanks!
@ConorsGuitar That's right, you have to buy this seperately. You can buy this software for around $200. Another great plugin is EZ Drummer by Toontrack (around $150). Both are well worth the cash and sound amazing.
@ConorsGuitar Another good thing about this is the ability to just drag and drop grooves straight into your DAW. For guitarists, this is great, so you can get playing straight away.
@Proutt Thanks for the comment. Addictive drums is a great piece of software - well worth the money. With the colours, go to window -> colour palette. You can adjust your colours as you like from there.
Wow! Over 17,000 views! I'm glad you guys are getting some use out of my video. Because of this response, I will definately do some more. If you have any software you would like reviewed and/or demonstrated, let me know and I'll work on getting it out.
I just got AD yesterday. IMO AD blows Superior Drummer away. AD is much less complicated and its easy to use. I would reccomend AD over SD anytime. Anybody interested in buying AD you can get it online from Sweet Water for $149 right now. Its on sale.
how do you get the effects to print? If you put a reverb on a snare inside AD, the reverb doesnt get sent to the output, only the raw snare. how do you fix this?
How did you installed AD in first place? I installed it but I cannot select it from the software instrument slot... As standalone works fine and also in Logic Pro X but my Pro Tools 11 doesn't seem to recognize it! any advice? Thanx
If you haven't got an answer somewhere else yet...I believe you need a stereo instrument track to put Addictive Drums in. I don't think it will show up in the list for a mono instrument track or at all for an audio track. The audio tracks you route to can be mono.
The thing is I don't have de AAX file, that's why I am stuck with Blue Cat. I downloaded from internet that's why I am missing the AAX (didn't purchase : )
Not sure if he did what im about to say because I cant see if it reads VSTW or not, but you may have to use FXpansions VST to RTAS adapter which allows you to use VST plugins in protools.
hy dud which type keyboard used in this plugins usb or without usb keyboard bcz I confused portable keyboard are used in this plugins ...? plzz give me answered f
How do I actually install AD into pro tools? It doesn't show up there. Does it have to be in a specific folder? If so, which one? And why didn't it get installed there in the first place?

i love the color scheme on pro tools as well, how do you change it?
love the beginning little whatever thing what is the name of the song or did you make that?
Thanks a lot man. I have been losing my mind how to work this shit on pro tools
Click and drag it from the list to your track in PT, then ctrl+d to duplicate. Easy.
If garage band supports vst-I plug ins, yes it will work. I have never used garage band, however I am pretty sure this will be compatible.
Will using Addictive Drums with Pro Tools 10 be fairly similar?
Thanks. Very helpful
After you route to pro tools, simply use your reverbs (or other effects) within pro tools.
thanks a lot man
thanks a million
wow excelente muchas gracias LIKE

you should do the a video with EZ DRUMMER on how to individually route to channels... but midi.. not just audio
Yes, studio one can run this software.
If you want to introduce fills into your drum pattern using Addictive Drums/PT via the drag and drop method and they don't fit what do you do?
How did you installed AD in first place? I installed it but I cannot select it from the software instrument slot... As standalone works fine and also in Logic Pro X but my Pro Tools 11 doesn't seem to recognize it! any advice? Thanx

hey man! why can't i find Addictive Drums on PT?! I installed it like a beauty, and it shows on Live but not on Pro Tools.....

Chris Manley
Sorry to continue not sure if Addictive Drums has RTAS yet, so thats the reason why you cant see it in Pro Tools.
Chris Manley
I guess there is a RTAS version now, I need to get it
You need to install it into your Pro Tools plug in folder (DAE folder). Pro tools doesn't look anywhere else to find plug ins other than this folder.
so how can I actually control AD2 with my MIDI drumkit? the MIDI input tab isn't available on instrument tracks.....?
I will be working on an EZ drummer tutorial very soon.
hey how do i open this program with pro tools? that be a good start for me to even be able to do that haha
graciassssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I was wondering if Presonus studio one can do this?
hy dud which type keyboard used in this plugins usb or without usb keyboard bcz I confused portable keyboard are used in this plugins ...? plzz give me answered f
It will be exactly the same. I have done the upgrade and all is normal.
How do I actually install AD into pro tools? It doesn't show up there. Does it have to be in a specific folder? If so, which one? And why didn't it get installed there in the first place?

Does this work with Addictive Drums 2 the same way?
Hi, any idea how to do this or if it's possible to do this with Garageband? Would love to be able to do it without spending $700 on Pro Tools. Thanks.
