Honestly what's helpful is the new specials don't heavily undermine chargers. A 7 second Stingray that cuts through walls? Ink armor that negates a one-shot from any charger? Spammable tenta missles that constantly forces chargers to move? Without (2/3 of) those specials, it gives chargers an actual purpose now.
The meta now is insanely balanced considering this game just released the only things I could complain are probably sloshing machine being slightly op (kit wise) and splatana needs a little buff
I swear charger hitbox is huge or something crazy is going on. I've been sniped, watched the clip back and the beam is a good handful of feet away from me. My minor gripes aside this video is good as hell. I get all jittery when I try to play chargers so I don't think I could ever be in the same realm of this lmao
as a charger main wow this game makes me feel like i was never actually playing charger in splat 2. i used to just play charger until i got too pissed and switched to short range but i feel legitimately sad changing weapons and im just thinking to myself ugh i wish i had my e-liter rn
The goo tuber may be my main weapon in this game. Squid surge and squid roll complement it so well. The kit itself also allows lots of chip damage to complement partial charge shots.
That was some magnificent splatting. I'm currently still practicing with the splat charger, I have a hard time getting used to how slow the E-Liter charges. Ink Vac is also a really weird but cool special to use. If you see someone getting into a fight you can basically use it to protect them from all incoming damage for a much easier splat, and then launch the whole thing for some area denial. But that said I'm nowhere near your level of accuracy, I miss so many shots still.
I love watching these clips so much, they deffo feel better than 2. Though I wonder if he's gonna make a tutorial video on chargers because I personally haven't seen a lot of in depth guides about it
Getting a team wipeout with a charger feels so good, you popped off in these games well. Also, what are your thoughts on the Classic Squiffer? I mained it in S2 and love it in S3 even without Ink Armor and mpu, while the hitbox and range seem smaller I do like how smooth and fluid the aiming feels.
@@kisu_ve625 True, I don't mind point sensor since they do a good job scouting the other team, but the Big Bubbler is a nerf from Ink Armor, it's essentially only a bigger Splash Wall. Still love the weapon with all my heart though.
Classic Squiffer is best in tower control I feel. In solo point sensors are great for pointing out where an enemy is, especially flanks and big bubbler denies access to the tower.
Too true, two main subs of mpu let me outrange Splattershot Pros and let me paint pretty good for a charger. It became my second best weapon with 495 wins, 804,927p turf inked, and had like 20 superfresh all in about one years of time.
having dual mained charger (with the nzap) since halfway through splat2, the e-liter kit is actually such an upgrade over bubble blower. snipers have a tiny more impact and the motion controls improvements are more than noticeable. it's so much fun
i agree like i was so afraid when i picked up my charger but i was pleasantly suprised. in splatoon 2 i couldn't hit anything with them for the life of me because somehow it was always just slightly off but now it actually feels accurate and smooth
The first weapons I got with my gold Sheldon tickets were the E-Litre and Splat Charger. I was a charger main in 1 & 2 but this is 100% the best it's ever felt using a charger.
i learned that the fiz bomb is pretty good against the splash wall, fully charged, a direct hit to the wall will trigger all the detonation super quick and it deal alota damage to the wall, i believe 150
This was so satisfying to watch! I’ve only been playing Splatoon since the end of July and would love to become a charger main. I’ve been practicing my aim in the lobby but im so scared to bring a charger into battle.
I was an e-liter main in splatoon 2 with 800 hours, went into this game, decided to raise sensitivity from default to 2 and it feels like i gained 400 hours of experience in 5 minutes when i raised sensitivity, it almost feels like my hands are aiming for me. i look through the clips and go "how tf did i hit that?!". i went from being mediocre in splatoon 2 to being able to consistantly hit my shots almost every time, 10/10 use higher sensitivity, i am confident i can get to at least S rank now :D
Not gonna lie, when I picked up using chargers again, it felt much more satisfying I have decided to try and learn them again. This video has inspired me to try harder with sniping in Splatoon. Thank you
I was never more then okayish with a charger in the first game but going into the second game I really struggled with using chargers. Now in the third game I'm actually doing really well with goo tuber of all things. Whatever tweaks they made to motion controls just feel so damn good.
First time I played a charger was early on when I was trying to find my weapon and I was cornered and splatted several times and thought it was just too challenging. Tried again once I unlocked the E-Liter and MAN does it feel good. Even when I lose a game or get splatted I feel too good about the sick trick shots I'm able to perform throughout the game to feel bad about the overall losses. Plus during off games where I can't seem to snipe anyone, it's really funny to play a whole game by just denying access by blowing people up with ink mines through choke spots or using wave breaker and tap shots to combo kill. I'm actually really enjoying myself playing slower and more calculated with the chargers and its teaching me better how to pay attention and see what is going on in the game. I wrote it off too early I think, but now it might enter my rotation of weapons alongside Sloshing Machine, Dualie Squelchers, Range Blaster and Hydra Splatling
Never since Splatoon 1 did i ever think about using chargers since I've never used snipers in FPS but when I picked chargers up in Splatoon 3 man I've missed out on alot
this game has taught me that i actually really love playing chargers, i used to mainly play support weapons (and i still do sometimes) but chargers feel so much more fun to play Though I’m still not super great im definitely getting better at them lol
I really love and enjoy watching your sniping videos! You’re my main source of inspiration to becoming a charger main since 2 and I’m all the better for it to this day! Keep up the content, cheers man! :)
damn i might pick the e liter up again. i remember it being the last weapon i mained in the first game, and seemed to have lost my sniper powers in 2. with me coming back to dualies in 3, i might also have a chance of being a sniper main again
I started playing the splat charger for the first time in this game and when I got a pierce in my first day let me tell ya that was one hell of a dopamine rush
There’s 4 long range weapons in this game that seem to just kill everyone as long as you see them coming and you actually hit them: heavy splatling, hydra splatling, eliter, and splatterscope.
As soon as I got my golden license I brought E-liter and I absolutely adore it. It feels so in splat 3 and the wave breaker I pretty much like it cause I want to know where the enemy team is located at all times.
i've never tried charger seriously because I thought I sucked at it 😭 but after giving it a try in 3 I fell in love with it and even wanna consider maining it! i have so much fun with it honestly and its super satisfying to play
I’ve never played splattoon but goddamn that has to be the most blatantly op gun in the game. 1 shot body shot, absolutely massive hit boxes like he was missing by a whole 3ft and still 1 shotting, you can peak corners with 3rd person to pre aim and not even expose yourself, it has 100% in air accuracy, it only has 1x zoom and perfect hip fire so it can still one shot people at close range. Besides poor map ink coverage, and being immobile while shooting it doesn’t have many weaknesses but one teammate being someone nearby ready to body guard and passively covering the map counter acts all those problems
playing stock charger in splatoon 3 vs playing stock charger in splatoon 2 is night and day. the ink vac gives the charger so many more aggressive & defensive options that stingray could have never accomplished. i didn’t ever really like the sets for chargers in splatoon 2 (which sucked because I can aim) but now in splatoon 3 I’ve finally liked using chargers.
Love to see you play REEF-LUX 450 at some point, considering how crazy your aim is, been having a lot of fun with it when it works! (Don't worry I'm not a tenta spammer lol)

Did you change your sensitivity to snipe or is it the same as always? Bc i heard that to snipe better you should lower a little bit your normal sensitivity
Having tried both the splat charger and the e-liter I feel like e-liter is better in this game. Obviously it wasn't in the charger meta in S2 but I feel like it's charging time is faster and I'm pretty sure splat charger got a range nerf. I always loved the splat charger over e-liter in S2 but e-liter just feels way better in S3. Also better motion controls makes a world of difference. Might be my new main lol
The only thing I don't like about charger is how easy it is to post up and almost never get challenged now. I just started using the E-liter and have won the last 5 ranked games IN A ROW. Sure I got some kills, but I'm pretty sure I could be a lot scarier with Gyro controls. That being said, being able to sit back and hit enemies without them having any option other than charging you head on instead of sneaking behind and killing you is absurd. It makes playing inkbrush (My main) nearly impossible, so many maps are designed around this small middle that let's me get absolutely crushed and some open maps aren't truly open until Rainmaker. They NEED multiple paths, sitting there collecting gold medals for just standing back and sniping is just silly, I have a better time getting medals with Sniper than I do inkbrush because of the SHEER amount of risk involved with inkbrush and the near non-existent threat when sniping.
