Woodness Goodness is building a cabin in NC. Lovely area. Similar to East TN.

Thanks for your comment! North Carolina really is a beautiful place to build, and we agree that it shares some of that same charm as East Tennessee! Each region has its own unique character, but both offer stunning landscapes that make creating homes here extra special.

It's expensive because the government needs your money

there is certainly government regulations that add to the cost of the build. NAHB estimates regulations to be approx 21% of total cost.

@@RedTreeBuilders What specifically are the regulations that cost 21% ?

Why build an overpriced house that you will have to rent for the rest of your life?

      2 reasons.
      It’s an investment
You can’t take your money with you.

600 sq ft.....Not joking!! Lumber pricing is almost back to normal! These Mountain Builders are in a clique together!! I currently live on Lake Norman and the custom home pricing is around 320/ft & thats as full custom! These builders are in for a rude awakening!!!

      I doubt that. @@truther4life

Not sure you can compare these two markets, yes cost is high here in the mountains, but we are not in a clique together. At least we can respect each others opinions.

Simple, they know you’re rich and want to take you for as much as they can.
