I remember those days when ALCOs used to run between Daund and Guntakal on the CSMT-MAS line. Now the entire route is electrified and I only see WAP 4 And WAP 7 locomotives. As a kid I used to like the electric locos more than the diesel ones but now I miss the ALCO locomotives😓. I'm just glad that these locos are still alive in some parts of India although not for long.

Thanks, but this is not the ghat section. This is Mangalore - Subrahmanya Road section which is a normal route. The Bisle ghat section starts from Subrahmanya Road and ends at Sakleshpur.
