- I disappeared again and you can probably guess the reason. Basically, I underestimated this house thing and what was supposed to be a three-month, max six-month process, ended up being an almost two-year ordeal. And rather than risk making the same mistakes I did during the year-long mortgage battle, I decided to be really involved and present during the renovations. This meant I didn’t really have any time to film which was unfortunate but it worked! The house is done! I firmly believe that you can’t truly appreciate the dimensions of your achievements if you don’t remember where you started so today we’re going to look back on all my past Milan apartments and neighborhoods before I introduce you to my new one! Let’s go!

I studied abroad in Milan, I lived right in front of the lambrate green line stop, I was studying at unicatt. I didn't research anything about the areas and if you'd walk a few streets down there def was a sketchy vibe. I miss the days of just hopping on the metro for a commute, here in the US I drive an hour to go to work each way when we go in.

omggg i remember being in high school in the US when you posted your apartment tour!!!! that was back when i would fantasize about living in italy. a few years later and i'm still not living there lol, but i am living in europe!!

Congrats on finally moving! I think getting a place near la Martesana is actually a good choice, it's a nice neighborhood especially now thanks to NoLo. I've always lived in Città Studi and I love it here, it will be a sad moment if I'll ever move to another part of the city
Thank you!! It was a parto but in hindsight it’s now starting to feel worth it 😍 and città studi is great! Tbh I think every neighborhood in Milan has its special points and once you find the one that works for you, you stay 😅

Best neighborhood to live in Milan: Piazza Piemonte, the area between the red line stops Pagano, Wagner and Buonarroti is a dream. Obviously quite expensive, but to my point of view, wonderful area to go live in.
NoLo is a great place to live if you want to live in the city. I've lived all my life in the outskirts of Milan and I think I would never move to the city center. The downfall is that here you absolutely need a car to move around and you can't rely only on public transportation, but I prefer it because it's quieter and it feels safe.
You’re right! The suburbs are also the only place you could probably get an affordable family home so that can’t be ignored!
Tia- I loved this video! I recently moved to Milan to pursue my masters and I am so lucky to live in P Venezia. I LOVE location but hate the price. Thanks so much for putting this together- I am looking forward to exploring more options for my second year of school :)
Porta Venezia is the dream neighborhood hehehe but yes definitely take a look up north if you want something lively but affordable!

I've lived in via Pergolesi, between Corso Buenos Aires and piazza Caiazzo. I was renting there and I had been doing that for almost 10 years. It was great: a lot of shops, restaurants, bars and very very close to metro stations (red, green and yellow lines), bus/tram stations and Stazione Centrale. Then I succeed in buying my own apartment, in Città Studi, less than a mile from my old place. I'm still very close to at least a metro station (Piola/green line - 5 minutes walking) anyway. Thanks God the buying process was smooth and apart from the exceptional amount of money involved, it was even fun. If I remember correctly when I was still looking for an apartment to buy, I went to see one in via Bertelli. I don't remember much about it but it was a nice area, with a lot of trees and quiet...
When I studied abroad, I was able to get housing through my program. They have some incredible apartment locations so I lived between the Palestro and San Babila red stops which was literally a dream! I’d love to make the actual move to Milan one day!

Sei letteralmente l'unica youtuber/influencer che abbia mai seguito e una delle motivazioni è sempre stata il fatto che mi sentivo collegata i qualche modo. Mi spiego meglio: quando ti sei trasferita in Italia io stavo facendo l'anno all'estero negli States e adoravo i tuoi video sulle differenze USA/Italy... e poi ti sei trasferita nella mia zona(sono cresciuta in via Padova e vivo in viale Monza altezza Pasteur..centro Noo insomma haha) Sentirr che ne parli e che ormai la senti anche tu la tua zona e ne dici le cose giuste mi rende felice!!!!

Honestly, it was nice to hear a different perspective on via Padova, since I was always one of the people that were VERY VERY sceptical of it (even now, I would prefer Colonne, but I totally get your point). With the new year, I'll be moving to S.Agostino on the green line, super close to viale Papiniano and I can't wait!!!

Comunque condivido al 100% quello che hai detto su via Padova, qualche anno fa ci furono dei disordini in via Padova che contribuirono molto alla sua cattiva fama, ma per molti versi questa fama è ingiustificata.
Su via Padova 👏🏾👏🏾 poi penso di essere stata abbastanza generale 👀 ci sono influencer ben più influenti che condividono i loro edifici e sono ancora vivi quindi… spero 🤞🏾😅 ma non potevo resistere dare un shout out alla zona, sconosciuta e sottovalutata
Ciao Tia! Vivo anche io a Nolo, ma non è uno dei miei quartieri preferiti. Ho vissuto a città studi ed è stato l’appartamento e il quartiere che ho preferito. La mia seconda casa è stata in zona bicocca. Ora vivo a nolo ma sicuramente appena potrò cambierò e vorrei spostarmi verso un quartiere più residenziale. Nolo ottima per prezzi (anche se stanno pericolosamente aumentando) e ottimamente collegata! Magari ci incontreremo in giro!
