I feel you 100% I wish I had known where the nice areas were before I moved. I found an amazing, modern student residence with a gym and all. The problem is that it's located in Lambrate, one of the ugliest parts of the city, which I didn't know. It's so close to politecnico, but my uni is 1 hour away. It's great that you shared which areas are the best ones
Glad I came upon this video it was very helpful. I am an American who got accepted to a school in Italy for 1 year. I am working on my visa now and I am somewhat nervous about finding a studio apartment or room.
Thank you for not mentioning the usually foreigner hip off app search website. Foreigners are paying a double want Italians pay. You must speak the language or pay a translation to avoid a rip off
Hey Kaija, when should I start looking for an apartments? I'll be moving to Milan in September and it seems like the real estate sites only offer apartment from now on... Thanks for your help! !
I'm an italian student and in 2018-2019 I rented an apartment near Politecnico (it's a 15-20 minutes walk). I share it with my twin and it's 750 euro a month(bathroom, kitchen-living room open space, bedroom with 2 beds). I found this bilocale after a lot of months of research and the help of an estate agency. But I can say that living in Città Studi means that you don't have to pay for trains and subway, so I think it's worth it.
The Notorious BLACK BLANCO you anyways pay for the metro/trains with a monthly card. I mean you go to the city centre and etc. It’s also better to find a room close to both metro and citta studi.
