The most probable reason is overwatering, I guess. Can you maybe tell me how and where was it growing, in which conditions? Have you repotted it recently?

Can these be propagated from the leaves? Like if one busts off 1/2 of a leaf?
Me senecio scaposus looks very different from yours, mine has a stem? Is this a normal thing for this plant?
Is it the same variety?
Im not entirely sure, it was listed as senecio scaposus when I bought it
And as far as I've seen none of the other senecio scaposus varieties have a stem
