Steve, I wanted to tell you something. I am Brazilian, and I was thrilled the same. Because for me it is not exactly England, but these players I have learned to admire since 2019 at the World Cup, but then by Mancity. I keep my first impressions especially from Chloe Kelly, the synergy she had with Lauren Hemp, Bronze, Walsh, Houghton, White and many others ... So I learned to admire their tuning week after weeks. And also in England. When Sarina Wiegman arrived, that synergy that had turned me into a sick in love with women's football, I saw the lionesses. Today I am a Brazilian transformed by women's football. And it all started with Chloe Kelly. It was the biggest emotion I had in sport in my life. Again, not because it is England, but because it is women's football, which has transformed since then my life, and everything has started with them. Thank you for your emotion. Your emotion honors my emotion.

@@richard6440 You believe whatever you want. They were asked by the FA to write a song for the 1996;tournament. They didn’t want to do a nationalistic type song but referred to the fact a tournament was coming back to the home of football for the first time since 1966. Others have reinterpreted it Just as irrelevant for the mens Euros last year as the women’s this year. What is the “it” they have brought home? It can’t be the trophy as it has never been here and it’s home is UEFA headquarters.

Football brings people together like nothing else in the world. You also never know what's going on in somebodies life. For 90 minutes, you can put your hopes and dreams into something else, external to your own issues in life. It's the perfect way to release emotion.

Sport is inspiration. Identify yourself with a tune that inspires thrills and makes you cry. This happens in music, in theater, in sport. I am Brazilian and I cried with the lionesses because I learned and inspire myself with them since 2019. So I cried and I have it recorded for life.

@@ironknobsteelworks4063 There was once a saying from a famous football manager. 'Football isn't a matter of life and death. I can assure you it's much more important than that'. I think millions around the world would agree with this statement. Football is a vehicle that is used for so much good and helps give people purpose in life when there is so much misery. I feel sorry for anyone in life who doesn't find their own passion, whether it be in football or otherwise. Each to their own, knob!

If these ethnicities were good enough, they'd be in. As far as Jewish players are concerned, there are only around 400,000 in the UK out of a population of 67 million. And supposing they are even semi-orthodox, playing on the Sabbath might pose a problem for them.

Are you sure about this? I love men's football too. But how about when women's football was more popular than the men's game? Until it was banned because of this reason...

Nonsense. Football was invented by public schoolboys and university students in the 1800's. It only became popular with the working class years later when the government made Saturday a half working day and people could go and watch the game in the afternoon. Now it's the most popular sport in the world and belongs to everyone.. even women, children and dinosaurs like you.

This is a working class mans' game. ...... It might have started out like that 100+ years ago , but since certain disasters and pitch invasions , the grounds have been turned into all seaters , tv has pumped millions into it , hooliganism hasnt stopped, but reduced a lot , so that premier league at least, is now more family friendly , plus the hospitality boxes in some grounds have rich people in them. No longer " just " a working class mens game. If you are embarrassed , you can always go watch cheese rolling :)
