I think anyone who watched that tournament knows just how good Keira Walsh is...an unsung hero sometimes I think...Rarely heard her name in commentary and yet watch how other teams try to mark her out of the games THEY know how important a player she is...and from a fans view a great player to watch...If she has the ball and time somethings gonna happen...As for Beth Mead...I don't need to say anything...Some of us have watched her for a few years and know her class already...

Well done girls, they have come a long way in such a a short space of time, but my goodness what a coach as well, unbeaten in 2 tournaments, winning with 2 different countries, Netherlands and UK, and only been in charge since sept 2021 with the UK team, CONGRATULATIONS

However - They beat the best teams on front of them. It's a tournament set up like all others and the women faced top seeded womens competition. England just beat three of the top ten ranked women's teams.
Many of the players do play for national teams (arguably "less grueling") but grueling none the less.

Let's see some respect for the volunteer coaches and parents who really made all this happened, before their funding improved. My daughter was good at putting the ball in the net, but the League One side pulled out of female football due to FA funding withdrawals - This England side were finally taken seriously it seems and they're the same age as my daughter now.
