This is the first time I was sorry that couldn't give a video more than one like. You've provided me with the solution to two of my pet peeves in the shop. Fantastic!!😉😁
That is one song I will never have enough of, whether it’s one of my own planes or whether it’s someone else’s plane - the ‘schwooof schwooof schwooof’ is just the prettiest song I have ever heard! ☺️
Most woodworking channels, when they go to the lathe, well, they are flat work people first. You actually know how to turn. Nice pieces! I am getting back into flat work now days...
Du très beau travail et quel repos de te voir exécuter ces travaux en silence avec des outils manuels ! J'adore le glissement du rabot sur le bois, Merci pour ce moment de poésie.... oui oui, j'ose le dire, tu es un poète 😉😊
Your creative mind is brilliant. Both are hugely practical to all handtool woodworkers. The handle for the shooting board plane is a sensual piece of art with those beautiful soft curves.
You are the only one on TH-cam that is making auxiliary plane handles. Or I cant find any others. My only criticism would be I wish you would talk and explain what you are doing and why you are not doing things. Great job
Very nice work and Ideas. I will be making a version of these for my shop also. Thank you for your video. These are great items for accuracy and comfort in the shop.
Hello from Minnesota, USA. I like the addition of the dowel on the right angle fence - just a great idea. Your custom grip is gorgeous - well done! Most of the woods you mention are very costly here - Are they common woods in Korea? You now have one more subscriber.
thank you. The woods I use are, of course, expensive here in Korea. It's probably more expensive than where you live in the US. I also use a lot of woods that are native to the United States. (Walnut, oak, beech, cherry, etc.) I also have difficulty purchasing wood because it costs a lot. Sometimes I think about living in America. Haha
Couldn't agree more with @dale1956ties. I made a prototype shooting board handle ala your basic design this afternoon out of a scrap two-x-four. Works beautifully and saves a lot of discomfort in my 71-year-old right hand!
Certainly is more elegant than just clamping a fence to the plane's side. Well executed. My only question is this: Shouldn't there be a small clearance notch where the blade is partially buried in the fence? Seems like it would otherwise cause the edge of the plane iron to cant at a slight angle to the plane's sole and thus throw off the desired 90º true flattening angle one is trying to effect.
thank you. Maybe you're right, or maybe it's not necessary. In fact, it is more important for the plane blade to be at a right angle to the fence than for the fence and floor plate to be at a right angle. Additionally, the condition of every planer may be different, so fine adjustments may be necessary.
@@carpentak, Thank you for responding. Yes, I know it's always possible to "Jigger" [a technical term] things around to 90º square to the surface [I do a lot of that myself], but my thinking is that if the plane iron is square to the plane's bottom & that is square to the registration side, etc., then the shavings will be the same thickness all the way across and be much easier to adjust the depth of cut for the squared off 90º angle you're trying for. Of course, there's always room for improvement. (That's what my parents used to say about my refrigerator art.) Regardless, beautiful, practical piece of work you've done. One that I'll be adding to my 'roundtuit stack.
I thought about that too, but I chose two. Be sure to start by firmly attaching the front part of the fence. For that, I decided that there should be a knob on the front of the fence.
He’s constantly evolving, started as a DIYer and now he is more like artist.

That handle is a thing of beauty. Brilliant
30 seconds in and...BRILLIANT! That's truly ingenious, simple - i'm making it! ok, back to the rest of the video...

Absolutely fantastic attachment for your plane. I love it. Well done!

Beautiful craftsmanship and smart design. With the shooting handle it kind of looks like a Rabbit to sit next to the Frog 😊
"The Frog and Rabbet" is also a great name for a woodworking store.
Great work, thank you for that delicious moment!

Très beau travail, deux accessoires utiles magnifiquement réalisés!
Very nice thank you, I have many of the same tools as you. The pad for the low angle plane looks useful
Top demais. Ferramentas de nível superior. Pena q no Brasil essas ferramentas não são tão acessíveis
Excellent.
Beautifully done.

Can you please tell me what brand the mitre box saw guides are. This was a very informative video. Thanks. Trevor from Australia
It is a Canadian Veritas product. thanks
Easier to use two laminations. I will make one tomorrow. I might attach it permanently. Watch out for sides not at 90* to the sole
I wonder if only one knob in the middle of the board would be more convenient...
I thought about that too, but I chose two. Be sure to start by firmly attaching the front part of the fence. For that, I decided that there should be a knob on the front of the fence.
May I ask what size magnet you are using? And the support rating? Thanks.
Size is 15mm and 25mm in diameter. It is a strong magnet. I don't know the numbers.
Thank you for the video and the information.
Can you comment on the "handle" that is on your plane in the shooting board?
It's very convenient and I use it well. I recommend you make yours too.
This is brilliant. Thank you!
Brilliant!
