This is one of the reasons why I love your videos. You don't fall for stereotypes. You want to see things with your own eyes, even if the place it's "too touristy".
I loved Batumi when I visited last year before we went walking in the mountains, its really cheap,ok beach not great but water is warm, promenade is nice to stroll along and some good restaurants and the weather in summer is lovely.
Well I will be dipped, So to speak. I had fancied myself rather learned when it comes to the English language, and I would have guessed that swam was the word to use in this case, when you have just taught me that swum is the actual proper term. In the reference that you were using! Thank you, lessen learned.... Brilliant! 😉😊😁
there's a real hipster snobbery attached to Batumi .. i stay there out of season .. cheap accommodation available with a great view.. suits my needs.. i'm an early retiree..
Didnt imagine Batumi was so large. Hoping the politics settles as you can stay for 1 yr no visa must be only place in world offering that...❤would 1k a month be enough. Generally in Georgia is it easy to get buses and connections? What is best time as dont like crowds much?❤❤❤Wow that beach walk with tropical foliage looks stunning. Glad you had an amazing birthday.
I spent an average £45 per day so it worked out to be a bit more than £1k per month but do think that it would be totally doable if you were a bit stricter with your budget! But yes, it was very very easy to get buses around the country!
@@BackpackingBananasomg thank you for replying so super fast..I ll be over there next year.have a great time in Thailand. Am kind of used to budgeting cut down on drinking so that goes a long way and just use hostels until worn out. Did have a flight there from Turkey in 21 but abandoned idea as was freezing November time..
Your solo backpacking series (e.g. South America, Australia's East Coast, South Korea, and of course this one) I like so much better than the group trips (Thailand, Mexico, Mauritania), which are too hectic and too silly kids party for me. What I'm really looking forward to is your EBC vlogs with Karen. That was already something else on IG. And if I may say this, the slurping sound you put in the audio track of your vlogs when you're sipping coffee is a hard misophonia trigger. Ugh.
Yes - Batumi is great fun. Ignore anyone who says otherwise, it offers something completely different to the rest of Georgia (and if you're not going to Kutaisi, it serves as a closer spot than Tbilisi for some of the tours). I'm looking forward to visiting again one day!
Also in general just loved your Georgia series!! The content has been so great and funny and informative! Ive added a new country to my list to visit.
Thanks so much! I’ve loved making this series 🥰

Hi Christianne, did either your boots or your sandals rub or give you blisters?
Not at all! I was very pleased with my footwear choices for this trip ☺️
Thanks, that's great to hear. Did you like the laundry detergent sheets and the washing line you took this trip? @@BackpackingBananas
Amazing Beach in Batumi...😊😊😊❤❤

Sounds like a great plan 😎 it’s wild how some people have such pretentious opinions about it 😅
When did you visit Georgia?
September 2024 ☺️
Christianne - the only Brit that hasn't been to Sunny Beach on the Black Sea 😅

I also prefer vlogging the solo trips 🥰 I totally get it! I can’t promise I’ll cut out the slurps though 😅🙃
