After seeing all these funky games it's refreshing to see genuinely tight meta matches. I'm completely new to ADV the tourney is amazing and really pulling me closer and cllser to downloading showdown. Fantastic stuff
I love fighting types in this gen. Heracross reverse 6-0s with sub salac, infinite hariyama utility, sub seed breloom, cb Medicham destroys everything, even without CC, fighting types are so value in this gen.
@@doublem1975x kinda why I didn’t mention machamp lol. His phys def with bulk up and guts potential is super cool, but his marginal attack boost compared to heracross doesn’t equate to the utility of stab megahorn let alone knock off, spore, pure power, etc. Would love to see machamp work in ADV, but it’s an uphill battle.
@@lesqueegee That’s true. The only legit niche I’ve seen it provides was on TSS cos it scares out ttar/bliss and you can get major damage w/ focus punch or HP ghost on the switch.
I thought this video was 8 minutes long, so that usually spoils who will win after the first fight, but actually no it was a full BO3 and it's so hype. Both players did really well here.
I like that after watching so much of this tourney i can tell these round 5 people are playing the short game much more and being way more reckless with mons. Great they made it this far but you can tell they have a lot to learn to compete with those who got in in round 3.
Love the mind game of appearing antsy by constantly switching that when you catch your opponent not switching, you nail em with a click. Game 2 was all mental, imo
If you brick break skarm and gengar is alive they can go gengar. But if you focus punch skarm it dies. So he focused punch anticipating a skarm mid ground
Baton Pass lets you see whether or not the opponent switches out before you choose who to bring in, so even if you dont pass any stat boosts it can give you positional advantage. There was a ton of switching in general that the baton passes were staying ahead of.
2:23 Don't you go Gengar here against Salamanca to pressure every Pokemon on Mwah_Bang's team ? I think this Skarmory doesn't have Drill Peck, so Blissey could have been brought out and used Soft Boiled which would have lost the game (for Sanesa).

"Some of the most logical opening turns I've ever seen."
This is sane.
Medikam finally showing its worth. I think it deserves a place among the OU Legends, Volbeat and Duskull.
Don't forget kadabra and abra, 1vs1s heracross and snorlax, respectively.
yeah medickam finally did something this game unlike superior fighting type blaziken who has accomplished so much during this tournament
This is gaming, folks.
This is insane, folks.
This is cinema, folks
This is insane.
Medichan on game 2 ALMOST made me think poliwrath was not the best dual typed fighting type. ALMOST
band medikam 2 hitting skarm is truly amazing. While its epic to see wild teams, a medikam used well is another level of insane:0
That last game was tragic man, I saw the toxic dodge and was like "Oh they've got this" then I see Aero 😭😭
If they had kept the sub they could have won
That second match was such an amazing cat and mouse game

Don't have to download showdown, you can just play in browser

Machamp kinda sucks. If no guard existed in gen 3 it’d be really good though.

How did you not mention the OU staple, Poliwrath
ADV was when I started playing competitive but I haven't played it since it was current. But man this is really making me want to try it again.

can I just say that the pizza tower secrets bgm has been absolutely perfect
They both played extremely well. Awesome to see such gaming
Gen 3 Medicham video when? She's absolutely gaming.
These are the coziest videos on TH-cam
That starmie switch in hurt me after seeing mence try to predict its switch in earlier with hp grass. This is insane.
This games are getting more and more intense

Sanesa really styled on their opponent in game 2
someone not using NU pokemon? This is sane.
I guess you can say that this is outsane
Love the mind game of appearing antsy by constantly switching that when you catch your opponent not switching, you nail em with a click. Game 2 was all mental, imo
I believe Timid Starmie is actually faster than max speed Salac Swampert
It's for the algorithm lads
One of the best sets so far.
Medicham once again proving that prediction based button clickers are the most fun mons.
I'm a simple man, I see Medicham I like the video
Why did dug not come in to revenge the swampert in game 3? Did I miss something?
Itd be at 36 after protect, not sure if it dies
real
What is the starting music??
6:29 why didn't he go for a focus punch here when he did last time? And why was Brick Break the good play?
Blissey can go for ice beam forcing medicham out
@@andersonzl13 True. So why did Medicham initially use Focus Punch when Blissey swapped out for Gengar?
@@ProtofallI think there was mindgame value gained there in showing the opponent Medicham was always going to threaten Focus Punch.

oh yeah that makes a bit more sense@@tarunyadav3567
+1 pert is 360 speed and timid mie is 361 speed, +1 ttar is the mon that outspeeds base 115s by 3 points
You're right and I've gotten it all mixed up. They're all similar speeds!
why focus punch a gengar?
Best set so far!
This is insane.
we are seeing people tournament die here
appalling yet enthralling

9:28 Why not send Dug and pick up the kill?
Reasonable chance it lives after protect

Can someone explain why in the second game it was just constant baton passing by Sanesa with no stat transferring???

Extreme choke game 1
solid games
MediKam will be Kampion on day. She is the Kosen one.
Sanesa sadly couldn’t game hard enough to make up for the missed opportunity in game 1.
