Honestly. My big 3 that I hate the most are honestly Blissey/Suicine/Celebi. My biggest issue with the other two is just how passive and slow the game becomes. Blissey especially just turns the game into a bogged down switch-fest that turns games into a grind.
i really dislike blissey, its so fat it lives everything if you have a special attacker on the field, your opponent will just switch to their blissey for free and blissey wont get hurt (unless you have 3 spikes up) hilariously, focus punch from the likes of charizard does not 2 hit ko most of the time. so... blissey is a master of resetting your advantage state since you can't really status it, you have to do more than half of its hp in one hit and situations where its threatened are so easy to identify (if you switch in a harryiama, no shit will the blissey switch out.) suicune will snowball out of control crazy fast. both of its weaknesses are special moves which are weakened by calm mind (especially the grass moves, since they are really weak in this game) if it has rest it can also reset your advantage. but you need things like suicune and swampert to tank ridiculous damage dealers like band metagross. celebi's leech seed is just bullying, yes, but it'll take a lot from hidden power bug from the likes of ttar und dugtrio. And it can actually be a good win con with calm mind. i like celebi.
@@fen_u9401 Don't forget natural cure means that toxic is only a temporary solution and Dugtrio isn't a reliable kill without sand/beatup and cant switch into an ice beam!
Suicune is an easy Mon to play around if u know how to as someone who's practiced with it alot I know how to play it and I can tell the difference between ppl who know how an not how to play around it it's pretty easy o play around it's def not op u just need roar on ur team so many ppl don't use roar and that's what makes suicune op
I think this set from starmaster is one of the most well-played sets all tournament. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find even one bad click in all 3 games
That Explosion late in game 3 that caught the Aero switch was something you could argue was a bad click. It ultimately paid off but I genuinely can't fathom why Swampert didn't protect there.
Huh, did some calculating of the odds at the end of game 1 and it turned out to be a roughly 21% chance of that happening. Reasonably sane, though certainly suprising.
It's actually a lot worse than that, considering only the chance for freeze to activate 7 times in a row IS .8^7 (so approximately 21%) but since 2 ice beam pp had already been used, factoring in pressure Voyager only had 7 ice beam chances to freeze. Starmaster's suicune was faster so it would always have the chance to rest in between freezes so the chance that Stairmaster got the freeze in the first place needs to be calculated (.1x.8^7)x7=14.7% chance (10% freeze chance, 7 times to proc) that doesn't factor in voyager's crit chances on top of freeze because I don't know how to crunch those numbers efficiently sorry, Voyager's odds of winning the suicune 1v1 was definitely lower than 16%- that being said, it's mons you play to your outs, Voyager played amazing this set but Starmaster played INSANE

What hurts me is that if Voyager protected like every Swampert ever would have done against that Meta in the end game, he would have protected the explosion and won the game potentially. Aero could have safely locked into EQ. Still all the chance he loses but damn, that explosion was ballsy as hell from Starmaster.

Voyager misplayed the endgame by staying in with suicuine. You always switch, if suicune is knocked out he can just wait for suicune to rest and set up d dances

can you explain what it means to say that sleep talk suicune is a "pace mismatch" on some teams? surely if it is a lategame winner then the early part of the team doesnt matter too much?
Suicune is not just a late game wincon. For more offensive teams ice beam/substitute might be better at allowing suicune to sweep vs a full team without needing to go 6v1 early. Besides, wasn't the pace mispatch on the Roar? I might be miss remembering

I’m new to this gen OU meta game but why didn’t Voyager just Earthquake spam at the end of game 3? What move did Ttar have to threaten him out? Aero 2HKO ttar with earthquake right? Can also kill metagross with 1 earthquake and also hits Jirachi super effective, possibly could have won the game but the overthinking is what made him lose. Starmaster kept it simple in the mid game when he just spammed Psychic, which really turned the tides he got good damage output from the mgross
