It is so great to see you back putting out more of your wonderful videos. I started learning the tin whistle a little over a year ago mostly by watching your videos and they have been so much help. I have a long way to go yet but it has been so much fun. Thank you so much!
Awesome playing! I am seventeen and I have been playing my tin whistle for almost three years now (I play the flute as well), and I have to say, you are one of my biggest inspirations to continue to play and to become better. I love irish music because of my heritage and for the fact that I am an Irish dancer. 😸 Thanks for your committment to your videos and your instrument!!! :)
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I heard a rendition of this year ago, and it made it my favorite, later I learned that the person playing used all kinds of ornaments that i couldn't find in sheet music... but you... you used all of the ornaments and MORE! YAy!!
I read about you on twitter. Just dialed in to see who this Jesuit Priest was at Marquette. I went to Marquette. Fr Kelly (once in Theology at Marquette) was a friend of my fathers from Campion ('30s), and Fr TJ Stemper was at Marquette in 1980-84 when I was there in admissions...also a classmate of my Fathers in Campion (30's). I graduated from Marquette in 1984. So good luck up there. Nice playing btw.
Awww! My first tune I played with you and you so fondly told me my rolls suxk. I still....still!!!! cant get that A roll down btw haha!! CONGRATS PROFESSOR!! Best wishes and thanks for the video sensei!!!

Question: for the F#-D-A-D-B-D-A-D leaps, can you explain if this should be without tonguing, tonguing every other note, or tonguing every note? I've seen lots of players play this type of passage very fast where it seems you wouldn't have time to do much tonguing, but playing it without often sounds sloppy to me...
Wth are you calling slow! Now I have to untangle my fingers. The dog plays dead and I think my neighbors are not to happy. But I tackled the high a! Mostly ... Thanks for this tutorial, maybe in a few weeks I'm capable to play your "slow".

Really goooood tutorial, thanks a lot!!!!
Love watching you play, thank you. I was hoping you could go back to basics for absolute beginners, could/would that be possible
Thanks. You mean, "go back" as in re-make the old videos? What kind of basics would be helpful to you?
just a very basic tune broken down into simple steps without any ornamentation and showing the scale done correctly would be good. Thank you

but, why are you mixing religion with tin whistle?
Because it's my channel?
The best answer to "why ?" is oftentimes just "why not ?"
As in "ask a dumb question get a dumb answer".
Am I stating the obvious, when I say that Cooley might be reel, but Jesus certainly isn't.
