Really very interesting, Same thing happened when I bought a plot in Bangalore in 1992 for 32000. Sold it to my cousin in 1999 for only 36000 out of frustration. Then came the real estate boom, Then my cousin sold the site for 5 lakhs in 2004. See the amount of returns. Now the value is 60 lakhs.

Many new traders are under the impression that making money in the stock market is as easy as buying low, selling high, and then collecting a tidy profit, they ignore the volatility involved.
Some investors can’t stomach volatility and the ups and downs associated with the stock market or more speculative trades.
trading eventually pays off, most traders are just too eager to make quick buck and unable to wait for the right trading setup.
2020 was a volatile year in both the economy and the financial markets. Made so much trade losses than usual. I hope this year doesn’t give a repeat performance of 2020.

it does happen but think about the mother company , we are not talking about reliance power we are talking about TATA they have a reputation to protect , going straight to zero does happen and it happened with enron and it may happen with GOEV its a tesla competitor in commercial market in usa most analist don't recommend it due to the thing called market maturity of the share they don't have production line yet or even a working model
@@hellslayer9638 I don't mean literally going to zero. I mean, the company may not rise in price at all or go far below too. What I am trying to highlight is a selective bias of one company which succeeded as opposed to perhaps 10 other promising looking ones which failed. Another prominent hedge fund gave example of Infy of how in last 25 years it has risen and hence value of long term investing (and no mention of 100 others which failed).
@@MrSimp75 analist on tv or in public domains giving such info have only one motive bring in more customers and money , they don't talk about failed or perhaps loss making investments due to their image they want to project. if u tell everyone you invested in enron at the peak at about 120 dollars people will laugh at you in the investment and hegde fund community even if you flipped the position to NET SHORT they will look down on you .
Invest in good stocks.

Same story with me...I was holding 2500 shares of Tanla Software till Apr'20 without any appreciation at around 65..sold it off in May'20 . But shares reached 850 just two weeks back. Lost profit of 20 Lakhs in 7 months.
And now how much u potentially lost from Tanla? So sorry about it

The lesson I learned from corona virus crisis and other global crisis is invest when such global meltdowns happen.... if you invest at other times the market will move in sideways and only after any crisis it will move up due to euphoria. After any crisis even a small margin profit will be greatly celebrated.

this is the same case with me too , when ever i m in options i make money , but god forbid whenever i buy stocks i lose money within a month or sometimes in a week i m doing paper trading right now to be really good to handle and gauge sudden spikes and falls to make it good

Very true. In my case i had invested in MF rs. 80k in 2000 and forgot. I checked in 2012 it was about rs. 1.65lack. Looking at the return I sold the MF. Now same valued at rs. 17lack. I missed opportunity of bigger valuation. Patience is the key.

No it's not 4x. He bought original at 80 and tights at 10. Average shd be his price only.
Sir is so honestly agreed on saying ..by trading money will be earned but its only by investing wealth will be created (mind voice: no trader agreed even you say these words, becoz all day traders needs to pump dopamine and adrenaline rush in their brains which is more then the money they want to earn or loss on daily basis----------------->(mind to mind voice: noone agree my comments too)
i am of the view that the investors should not watch the market daily, once in 3 months whereas the trader should watch market daily....

I too experienced same.. was holding 1800 quantity of United spirits at average of 500. I square d it off at 550. But with few weeks it rallied to 2500.. even today I repent
Past is dead. The present is reality Future is in your hands. There is no use repenting. Instead, think forward and identify opportunities. Do you know now YES BANK might go to RS 500 within next 5 years ? we do not know this. More than 100 shares doubled from 2020 MArch to 2020 December within 9 months. Few shares even jumped 3 times

In 1987 ,40k means we can buy roughly 100 acres of agricultural land with good water resources and if you sell same at 30lakhs/acre in 2020,we got more profits....
