- Buying "Modern" Mini PC For 11$ For Win11 & Minecraft Gone Wrong...
In this video we are going to test "Dell Wyse 3030LT" Thin Client and will make a Mini PC from it by just adding external SSD. I am going to try to launch Minecraft on and even.. Install Windows 11 on this poor piece of tech. But four-watt Intel Celeron "inside" of this box will struggle against it.
Works perfecting for running local DNS resolver and pivpn on Debian 11. Honestly, any graphic application is out of this pc league, and it is unrealistic to expect it to be able to provide any sort graphics. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I knew what local DNS resolver is 😅 Anyway thank you for this comment. Btw, it uses Intel Atom's graphics, which is another confirmation that this Celeron is masked Atom!)
I mean other then setting up your own intranet or keeping people from knowing what websites you go to after it's been cashed what use would that have?
I would try Windows 8.1 Embedded Industry Pro if not some very lightweight Linux distro and if it is still painfully slow only then I would sell it.
Oh god, my work had wyse machines with VIA processors, until recently they were really miserable. Just used for remote sessions
That was interesting. You should have shown installing as many mods as you can and messing with the resolution to get Minecraft working.
Yeah, my bad
if its 10 bucks and very power efficient it seems very useful for someone like me. I've been looking for something to host a few servers on.
Check X79 kits on AliExpress. Very cheap and insane power for it's money, although definately not power efficient. If your budget is higher and you need more performance there are X99 kits and the funniest thing -- dual X99 motherboards :D And they aren't really expensive.
@@OleksiisTech I found one of those Intel Compute Sticks for like 30$ on Ebay, so that seems promising
even raspberry pi looks more attractive, maybe even more powerful than this celeron 😂
May be it is, but what about rasberry's price?)
Can i use it like an ass heater?
No, unfortunately only 4.3w TDP :(
man im starting to enjoy your channel i watched a few of your videos by now and i grand thee the highest honor possible... i subbed liked and im using your video while eating...
Thank you, comments like yours warms my heart and motivates to try harder ❤️
@@OleksiisTech you def should continue youre basically of similar quality to diy perks videos im really enjoying them!
Where did you buy it from and where did you sell it?
I bought it on Ukrainian OLX and sold it on Lithuanian Skelbiu (both are loacal ebays). Got 0 profit, but that wasn't a goal :D
id use that to host servers or just to bring around for fun hahaha idk really
it costs 10$? this is perfect for its price, wow. can probably run a local HTTP server or any sort of server on this thing on linux
though maybe i'm just a newb and there are better PCS for 10$
my dad had a laptop that has similar power as this PC. it probably costed him >200$ xD never asked
I actually sold it for 12 euros :D For 10$ it may be haven't alternatives, considering it's power efficiency.
@@OleksiisTech i've just checked my country's website where people sell their stuff (olx ua). the big computer with similar capabilities costed 26 dollars and it looks like crap (wow the dollar is really expensive now)
Damn my 2006 pc run minecraft better
Sad thing lol..
Try Linux😂
I tried, same perfomance.
