Laughed ma bum off at the "Let the pen get married" part. I am twenty one next month and I have been with my fiance of five years who lives in Colorado and I am moving out there and I have been watching all your flying videos since I have only flown like.. four times.. These have been so awesome and helpful thanks so much. :#3
Any trips for roadtripping? My best friend and I are driving up the Pacific Coast soon and these vlogs have been amazing tips and tricks for making sure we're prepared.
Hello Sonia~~ I was wondering around TH-cam to get some travel tips and I found yours! As I'm going to japan for 2 weeks during winter season and I'm not sure how to actually pack all the winter clothes in a 29inch luggage.. Can you please show me how am I suppose to pack and the toiletries too I may need to bring a big shampoo bottle cause my hair is long and thick but I can't cause of the restriction.. Can you please help me out?
Omg! Thanks for the hair dryer tip! I know how to iron clothes, but the thing that gets me is that i have to use a lower heat in hotels because i don't carry my safety cover sheet with me (trying to save space), and lower heat means more time wasted ironing clothes, and possibly not getting out the wrinkles.
i use cling wrap rather than masking tape on my toiletries. simply unscrew the lid, cover with wrap and screw the lid back on. Works like a charm, although if i've been staying in a hotel (rather than in a friend or family member's house) i sometimes loose the cling wrap for the trip home.
Thank you so much! I will definitely use the hair dryer/iron trick and the masking tape! I recently flew to California from Florida, and my liquids and gel deodorant (which were all in a big ziploc bag) exploded and emptied themselves on eachother, and I had to clean them all off and throw some away. Never again! :)
The masking tape is genius!!! am going to use that one. I use the pen, bandaids and baby wipes trick. I've been stuck in a place where there was no access to a shower. yikes! Also, i don't know if this is a trick but wrap a few hair ties around your hair brush and you will aways have one when you want it. And the simple packing of plastic bags for dirty or wet clothes.
Another useful tip: Since airlines are so strict on bag weight, it's easy to avoid extra weight fees. Once you feel your bag is close to it's limit, get out our bathroom scale. Place a tall cooking pot on the scale. Calibrate the scale to zero. Carefully balance your packed bag centered on top of the pot. Once you get on your hands & knees, you can easily peer under the bag & read the scale. In other words, the pot elevates the bag so you can see the scale's reading. No more guessing! Cheers.
One way to get rid of exploding shampoo all together is to have a shampoo bar, they're solid shampoo that is in a tiny round bar. It takes up no space, and is guaranteed not to explode in your suitcase. Also, you can carry it on the plane since it's not a liquid; just in case your suitcase gets lost. Great tips!
you're awesome:)) you should totaaally do a video on how to pack less/smartly, you know small bags? or all you need in a carry on? that would be so helpful!
I put everything I want to pack in a pile and then laugh at how big it is, put most of it away and travel with very little. Marseille soap for hand laundry and personal needs ... clothesline and little pins. The TSA emptied a bottle of very costly perfume, so only a little travel one for the purse or NOTHING. Very good tips! I'm getting older & am disabled, so if I cannot easily carry it myself over weird terrain, it doesn't go with me.
I love the masking tape idea! I always end up putting any liquids and gels in plastic bags individually, but that takes up so much room and time. Masking tape will be my new best friend while traveling. :) thanks!
random question...do you ever get into the "spirit of a place/city" by reading a book about it? I dont mean a travel guide, but rather maybe a fiction / non-fiction bookl that also captures the spirit of a place? If so...are there any particular books that you enjoyed more than others (and can recommend)? xx
Are you ever going to visit the lonely island of Ireland? Curious to see what you'd make of it. I'd recommend seeing the West personally, fantastic place.
hola te escribo en español porque vi que lo hablas perfectamente. It would be awsome if you could make travel tips for people that are movin to a diferente country (in my case spain) to study for 6 monts to one year.
These tips are really good. I'm going to Barcelona in a week so they're helpful. Haha I always carry bandaids (or plasters as we call them in the UK) in my wallet :) x
Another tip for getting wrinkles out.. place it into the dryer for a bit with a wet cloth, and the condensation from the cloth drying will get the wrinkles out :) Throw in a dryer sheet to make your shirt smell nice too!
I'm going to be Traveling a lot this summer, so I'll be using most of these. In fact, I paused the video after the bandaid tip and went into my bathroom and put some bandaids in my wallet.
The masking tape is probably just changed my life forever. I already knew about the tissues/ baby wipes / plasters rule but you forgot to say bring Vaseline. It'll help with all of those horrible friction burns. :)
if you have some more tips on packing could you please make another video? I have one!! : Keep your bobby pins in a checkbook so they don't get lost! (I do this at home too)
the tip about bandaids proved to be really useful even when you're not traveling! i cut myself with scissors at work and i had a very useful bandaid in the wallet thanx to you ;)
Thanks for your kind words! Very happy you found us!
Will definitely keep it in mind! Thanks for writing!
These tips are so simple yet, I swear no one's thought of them!!! Thanks Sonia you're a lifesaver :)
Haven't flown in a while and I'm preparing for a trip. Marathon-ing your packing playlist and it's so helpful! Thank you so much!

What are your favorite fabrics (for clothing) when traveling?
Ooooo...question. Do you roll your clothes or fold them?
All of these tips are generally useful in all cases.
When I go on my trip I will bring some food should I use A Ziploc or a fabric lunch bag?

Yay!
Love your travel tips. I'm surprised that you don't mention / use the plastic bags that scrunch up, remove air and use less space. I love them.
Greetings from Louisiana 💞 ... This was extremely helpful 🌍 and entertaining 😂... Love your videos... Thanks for sharing 🚕 🛫 😎
What should you do when you have curly hair and need to pack mousse with you, how should you pack it?
I love the masking tape idea! I always end up putting any liquids and gels in plastic bags individually, but that takes up so much room and time. Masking tape will be my new best friend while traveling. :) thanks!
Can you make a whats in my backpack when you are traveling please ?'

Great tips! The masking tape is a great one. Thanks! :)
Whoop I always carry a pen and I always keep plasters/band aids, paracetamol and a nail file in my purse it's amazing how much they come in useful!
Can you please do a video on how to pack a two week carry on that doesn't weigh more than 7kg (15 lbs)?
So random but I love carrying a nail polish or two when traveling... best way to store in carry on?
They have to go in your 3-1-1 bag, masking tape around it, possibly put it in a smaller sandwich baggie.
you helped me out really good please make more vids : )
love the masking tape idea
You are o much fun to watch + great tips!
Thank you.
You deserve more views. I love your videos.
The suitcase punching you back was HILARIOUS!! I couldn't stop laughing. Lol

"and thats why I dont wanna be a suitcase" 😂😂
I love your videos!
I can totally relate to not having a pen when I need it most! lol!
Another tip for getting wrinkles out.. place it into the dryer for a bit with a wet cloth, and the condensation from the cloth drying will get the wrinkles out :) Throw in a dryer sheet to make your shirt smell nice too!
You don't have dryers at a hotel
When I went to Cambodia last year, baby wipes were my best friend. For real.
If the material can take it, sprinkle a little water on and it's like steaming.
Amazing! thank you :D
I'm going to be Traveling a lot this summer, so I'll be using most of these. In fact, I paused the video after the bandaid tip and went into my bathroom and put some bandaids in my wallet.
Thankyou, fairy godmother of traveling!
This is helped me alot :D thanks alot
if you use the hair drier use the end that she used because you can burn your clothes with out a end on the hair drier
The band aid saved me many times during summer.
I have had people look at my baby wipes in envy and other offer cash for them. Keep them in your day bag near your bandaids.
no entendí bien el tip 3 y lo del boli es un poco tonto, no?
I love how you say a few Spanish words at the start of each vlog. I feel that much smarter lol :)
I always carry bandaids in my wallet. Its a perfect place for them. I'll have to try the masking tape thing, I hate using all those ziplock bags! :D
Please never stop making videos?!?!
Tip for ironing shirt collars: Use hair straighteners.
I used like all of these tips
I love how you say 'iron' XD I say it more like 'AH-UHRN', but that's probably just because I'm in Texas :)
Why do you iron like that?
Can you do something about packing your makeup?
I learned about you from MGM but I just saw you in Entertainment Weekly(!) Congrats
The masking tape is probably just changed my life forever. I already knew about the tissues/ baby wipes / plasters rule but you forgot to say bring Vaseline. It'll help with all of those horrible friction burns. :)
