    Dude was almost penniless & then he made one decision that forever changed his life. He took 100% responsibility for ALL of his actions & choices. What an amazing concept. Don’t blame anyone else & take full responsibility for yourself. Brilliant!!!

    I was always frustrated by my son who had a mind of his own (since birth) and wouldn't listen to any of my advice. Then I just stopped and tacitly accepted that he will make his own decisions from now on. I didn't agree with everything he decided and he went through a dark time (as many of us do) but after that bumpy transition we have a great relationship and he will actually ask me for my advice. I heard recently that his favorite thing about me is my unconditional support. That felt good to hear.

      No he is not! He hasnt achieved anything but speaking knowledge and life info. People who have built the world and created amazing art like I have and got success is a legend. He hasn't created anything and has no business just getting rich telling other people to take control over their life.

      So then, teaching is not a worthwhile enterprise... interesting perspective. I don't know how many people have listened to Brain tracy and followed what he sets out and achieved things. So I can't say he isn't a legend. I know that he is worth more than me, and that means I should at least listen to what he has to say. Advice is just that. What you do with it is up to you.

    • @PascalBachmann
      @PascalBachmann 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Certainly, you should consider listening. Additionally, you are right in saying, "What you do with it is up to you." The reality is that most people don't act on it. They often talk a lot, offer advice, and make excuses for everything. @@beardedredbear8765

A functional mature adult is just so beautiful to see, to listen to, to talk to. So many homes are in need of functional adults.

Crazy, had to grow up quick. Harder times brings out harder men...He comes off as a Burt Lancaster or Charlton Henston type vibe with his demeaner 😂 think the t.v was his father/mentor growing up. He definitely force himself to be a man.

    to be matured, you have to take your responsibility for all your words and your behaviors. You have fortured faith to come over obstacles. By contrast, imatrued people make a excuse, they complain , escape the circumstances. They are oneday people. Someday they will upgrade their skills, lose their weigh, get out of debt or lousy relationship.

    Great content. But need to be careful that nowadays, a lot of bad bosses are abusing the word "responsibility". E.g: Give an unreasonable amount of work to their subordinates and ask them to sacrifice personal/family time to do the work because it's their "responsibility" to finish their jobs.

    • @aangepastemanderijn

    Sure truth there, but I can also say if we live only in a society of entirely self driven people only concerned about themselves, than there will be no balance. Tribalism has ensured care for elderly and sick, not every person on the planet can be a billionaire or successful entrepreneur. The system simply cannot function that way, the current system needs wage skates as well.

    I don’t agree that a boy becomes a man when a man is needed. If that was the case, people would become emotionally mature when they have children, because a child demands that they step up. But so often, parents don’t have a clue how to step up emotionally.

    • @tomhead451

      So then maybe it’s (a boy becomes a man when a man is needed the vast majority of the time but it doesn’t override agency). I know I changed the most after having kids. It will change you. But people can still choose never to grow up, they still have agency to choose. But for the most part it’s true for most people.

In fact for most of people a life a struggle from the day they are born, and no matter what and how much they do it is so hars to get out of poverty, bad health and stress.

    10:38 after all the naysaying about being the victim, he clearly states the less money you have the less power you have over your own life.
    Also he redefines responsible - call things what you want to it doesn't matter. The truth is the truth and you won't be able to fool people on it you might be able to fool yourself though.
    With that being said don't be a victim anymore than you have to or want to be, but that's going to be very different for different people
